So I started watching this fairly new anime (it's only 5 episodes in and updates every Thursday) and I honestly think it's pretty neat. The only thing is that it seems to be slightly Shonen Ai? That's fine with me but I figured it might be good to mention that.
Also, it has color distortion, though not so bad as to make you want to quit watching it, unless of course, it does. The characters are interesting as well.
Alright so here is a summary of the anime for you, straight from AnimeCrazy.
"Set in a world where history has taken a slightly different course from the one we're familiar with, K follows the story of a young boy whose life is caught in a psychic war between seven kings. Ashinaka High School is known for its unique setting: the entire campus is built on an island. Yashiro Isana, aka Shiro, is having lunch with a cat on one of the school rooftops. After his lunch break, Shiro goes on an errand for his classmate Kukuri to prepare for their upcoming school festival, only to be chased by some intimidating-looking men."
It's better then it sounds of course. At least in my opinion, but I'd like to know what others think as well. ^ ^ I don't know if I'm the only one here who has actually watched it.
Then there is another relatively new anime, up to it's fifth episode as well, and this one is called Zetsuen no Tempest (Burst of Tempest). It is a little confusing, but otherwise it's actually pretty cool, and makes you want to keep coming back for another episode. (Especially the fifth episode, which is driving me crazy right now.)
Here is the summary:
"The story revolves around Mahiro Fuwa (a teenager whose family was mysteriously murdered one year before) and his friend Yoshino Takigawa. Mahiro is contacted by Hakaze Kusaribe, the leader of the Kusaribe clan who was left stranded on an unknown desert island by her followers, and agrees to help Hakaze in exchange of her help to find out the culprit for the death of his family. Upon learning of his friend's intentions, Yoshino joins him on his quest to stand against the Kusaribe clan who intends to awake the "Tree of Zetsuen" whose power can bring ruin to the entire world."
So yeah in my opinion (which doesn't really matter all that much here cause I want to know how you feel about these anime, heh.) It is worth the watch, though it's murder to wait for another episode sometimes. Oh well, I'm patient.
A site called AnimeCrazy.net. There might be pop ups, but it won't be all that bad. If you click on AnimeCrazy they have images along the top of the site of them and all you have to do is click the images and scroll down and they'll have links you click on to watch it. ^ ^

I seen it. I thought those two were pretty good animes. Oh man, but the ending for K anime was too sad, luckily there will be a second season. In my opinion, the plot line fell a little flat towards the end for K, but the ending kept me on edge and made me want to see what will happen next. Man, I feel so bad for Yata, losing his friend and now also losing his king. Hopefully, it really didn't end like this.
For Zetsuen no Tempest, it caught my attention the first episode, I was also confused when I first watched it but as the story progressed it slowly began to make more sense. I like how no one in this anime so far is like a villain, it's like anybody can be the bad guy or the one who is wrong. I heard that the next episode will be released on Jan. 10.

Well I'm not able to read your entire message because I haven't watched the last few episodes of either, but I agree. They are amazing animes. They sucked me in pretty quickly, though so far Zetsuen is definitely confusing and fun to try and figure out. It does start to make more sense though too, as you've said.
Unfortunately I won't be able to watch the last few episodes until I fix a problem I have with my computer, which I hope can be done soon. Also sorry for such a short reply, I'm getting ready to get off the computer and am rather tired. ^ ^

K's slated for a sequel and it was announced after the 13th episode aired. When it'll be aired is unknown at this point in time but it'll definitely continue on.
The ending was sad, and I actually did cry. But not a lot.
K is getting another season? =/ I was kinda disappointed with that anime, Zetsuen no Tempest has been good so far tho, but I have to say I kinda hate that I've been able to guess most of what was gonna happen long before they try to hit at it, like the real Mage of Exodus thing. Caught on to that the first time they mentioned that there could be one. =/

Yeah, I figured out a lot of it too, though at least they threw a few twists in there to make you doubt it a bit. It didn't change the fact that I still had a pretty strong idea who it would be. Who knows, they may have a few more (hopefully) at least slight surprises somewhere before the end. Though I have a few more suspicions, that I will have to wait and see if they are true or not. Otherwise, Zetsuen is pretty cool so far.
I wasn't disappointed in K Project. I finally got to finish watching it last month, but I forgot to come here and respond to everyone. Sorry about that guys. I'm kinda glad that they got another season though, I at least want to see how the story-line evolves from here on out.
Oh and guys, they do have manga installments explaining some of the background for characters if you weren't aware. There is "K Memory of Red", and "K Stray Dog Story".
"K Memory of Red" Obviously centers around Homra while "K Stray Dog Story" centers around Kuroh.

I guess towards the end the story did get a little flat, but it still wasn't all that bad, it could have been worse. However, I don't think we will be lucky enough to have what happened in the end, come undone in the next season. The only thing that might be safe is :
Shiro more than likely isn't dead, because if you recall, he told Kuroh that he is "The Immortal King" meaning that he most likely can never die. Or more like, no matter who or what he is seen as, he still holds his memories and everything, so he is the same person even if, in a way he isn't. I feel that made no sense, but I hope it made enough.
Most likely, a new Red King will be chosen if it's possible. A lot of people apparently think that it's going to be Kamamoto ( The one who gets really skinny during the summer). I'm not sure who it might be though, personally, although I was thinking that yes, it could be Kamamoto, or Yata. Though if you think about it, Yata is a little too quick on resorting to violence. Even quicker than Mikoto was. Of course, those in Homra seem to be at least somewhat quick to jump to violence but Yata is the most prone to it.
I also have to wonder what will happen with Fushimi? I mean he was legitimately worried for Yata, and even looked kinda worried about the loss of the Red King. Then again, it's a little difficult at times telling what Saruhiko is thinking in the first place. lol
As for Zetsuen, yeah, it caught my attention right away. Oh and yeah, same here. At first it was a bit confusing, but then it cleared up some. Then again, it was meant to be confusing towards the beginning, and one of the main genres for it I believe is psychological anyways.
Though yeah, it is a semi new look at supernatural abilities, though in a way it isn't, and is more applied in a unique way than it is, actually, unique. That was one of the main reasons it caught my attention in the first place. Yeah, a lot of the time, Defensive to Offensive magic is very common, but the idea, the purpose, and function of it in Zetsuen is a bit different. Not to mention the requirements for use on the side of Genesis. In this case, even the Defensive can be used, in a way, as offensive, just as Exodus, whose magic is mainly for Offense, can be utilized as though it is defensive, even without the shields or completely evasive abilities.
Also, for something that supposedly protects logic, Genesis seems to have one or two abilities that, no matter what you say, or who it is (Mage of Genesis/Princess of Genesis or not), that are not in any way able to be considered logical. First of all, if you were to look at something in a scientific view, which is majorly about logic (or even medical if you will) wounds cannot simply be healed in the course of, oh I don't know, like a few seconds or minutes. That is not logical, no matter what was offered. How is healing a potentially fatal wound in such a small amount of time within the realm of logic? Not to mention the second thing. The ability to travel through time. Though yes, I guess in some ways it does make logical sense, trade places with yourself, or your own corpse to be sure you still exist in a certain time, but it isn't something that can be seen as completely logical.
None the less, it is an amazing anime, and I love picking things out like that. Not to make it look bad but just to figure out small things that have the potential of being something brought up later on in the story as something to question. Of course, I don't know if it will be. I know the time travel one was in a way, and I think they somewhat explained the Healing magic, but either way, I don't see the logic. XD
Then again, it is the laws of magic, rather than science. ^^
