Description:
A ghastly visage, what once was human is malformed into a vile, insidious, and repulsive denizen of the dark; a creature feared far and wide and notorious as a mind flayer for good reason. The one you see before you is no less insidious than its kin, standing some six feet tall with its bloated, octopus-shaped head sporting four tentacles that obscure a maw with dozens of jagged teeth, lined up in a manner so as to easily open a man's skull with an effortless twist. Blotchy mauve-tinged skin of a pasty gray, eternally coated in a glistening, sickly slime, covers the form, only vaguely humanoid with hands that bear only three fingers and an opposable thumb, each tipped with natural claws that seem to be forever stained in blood. The entire frame of the being is spindly and almost seems elongated, though it is a trick of the eye, often achieved by the choice of clothing as much as natural appearance. Eyes sunken into their sockets are bulbous white, only adding to the creature's alienistic manifestation.

Clothing to cover the fiend comes always in gloomy colors, cut into robe-like styles that extend over the feet, and a stiffened, high-backed neck, which extends over the head and fans out as a reptilian frill, adding to the creature's formidable appearance. The sleeves are cut to stick closely to the arms as part of the elongated, alien appearance of the creature. Jewelry decorates the creature's waist and wrists instead of its neck; a belt consisting of a silver chain run through a fair-sized skull which is missing the top of the cranium, and hanging off the right wrist a necklace chain, wrapped thrice around the wrist to shorten its length, with the pendant more often than not held in the creature's hand. A staff of bones, knitted together with what appears to be thick red cords, and topped with a humanoid skull, again missing the top half of its cranium, stays clutched within the grasp of its left hand. On last note you find a dagger, obscured against the dark robes in a scabbard of similar color.
