Biography: There once was a man named Cyrus Gold, a businessman with acumen a sight to behold. A soft spot had he, women easy, and oft he was brazen and bold. Then there was a new whore, who thought she could be something more. She refused his desire, and invoked his ire, and he sought to settle the score. Cyrus had wanted to romp, yet he was easily tromped. During the fight, Cyrus lost an eye, and dragged off to Slaughter Swamp. An unusual man named William Hand had left the body to rot. A man named Jim came and engulfed Gold in flame, and dumped the man into his plot.

The Parliament of Trees was dying, and they felt that a new elemental needed to be created. In one last feat of strength, they began looking through all of the infinite dimensions in order to find the perfect candidate. On Earth 12, they found Cyrus Gold, a philandering businessman who had been murdered during a fight over a prostitute. During the process of his death, The Parliament of Trees found that all the elements necessary for a full elemental had been involved. Wood, metal, air, water, fire, earth. Using the very dregs of the collective power, they resurrected the body of Cyrus Gold to serve their purpose of protecting Earth from the destructive ways of humankind.
