Your name: Kitty_Empress Meta name: Charlotta Descrade Species: Slaugh Gender: Female Item: Stage: Child Markings: - Clothes: Black ball gown, with a few tears. Age: 9 1/2 Height: 5 feet 6 inches. Personality: Charlotta is a friendly child, but is cripplingly shy. She loves helping people and doing anything to get them what they need, but her tendency to mumble and near silent foot steps makes her seem creepy. She's easily saddened when people are scared of her, and tears are easily caused. But as quick as she is to cry, she is to get better, and nothing makes her feel better than being invited along for fun, even if it is done hesitantly. Charlotta has not been adopted, but has read many stories about how happy families are. As such, she often finds adults and will hold onto their shirts or skirts, and follow them around quietly until they notice. She also refers to any person who is Adult or older as Momma, knowing that Momma's are the ones who always hold and snuggle and make their kids happy, while daddies always just make their kids tough and wrestle, and she'd rather have someone love and care for her. This is despite the fact that she is intelligent enough to understand almost anything besides the fact that this is not correct. Indeed, Char's personality is due to a crippling amount of emotional abuse she has taken from being separated from any kind of real care. She never truly developed emotional or social skills, instead left with the mentality of a very small child, causing her to have issues when dealing with any sort of emotional impact. Char's mental strength further causes her to hide in on herself, as she believes most people her own age simply don't understand anything, further isolating herself from those who could help her develop better. It is likely that if she could get past this and make friends that she could eventually have a semblance of normal maturity for her age. Desired Artist: ??? Estimated Cost: ??? Does your Meta have a Malice/Mane?: Mane! Malice/Mane's Name: Ladiah Linoah Malice/Mane's Item: Jealous Soul Malice/Mane's Description: Ladiah appears as a proper young woman, though she only stands at the size of Charlotta's head, with porcelain white skin and a white ball gown much like Ladiah's, with small wings sticking out of the back. Her eyes are a pale yellow, and her teeth sparkling white needles, that look as if they are meant to bite through people. Malice/Mane's Personality: Ladiah is incredibly clingy and needy, requiring almost constant acknowledgement from Charlotta inorder to stay happy. At times she will get extremely angry just for Charlotta talking to someone else, while at other times being fine with it, flip flopping even within a minute's time on whether this person is 'allowed' to associate with Charlotta. She is however extremely caring for Charlotta's well-being, and becomes incredibly distressed whenever Charlotta is upset, to the point of crying with her as she tries to cheer her up. She views Charlotte as the best thing in her life, and that anyone who can't see how great she is, is obviously extremely stupid. Hobbies: Music: Char has put to use her memorization skills to learn how to use not one instrument, but two, playing both the cello and the piano even at her young age. Music is one of her escapes. Reading: Char often hides away in books to escape her real life. Archery: Charlotta frequently practices with a custom made bow and arrow, which seems built for both her strength and the length of her limbs. Whenever she becomes angry this is her main way of letting the anger out. She originally took up this skill due to a mysterious gift being left in her room on the night after she moved into the dorms, though she always loved watching the sport. The bow is the only gift she's received in her life, and her prized possession.

POWERS
Charlotta's powers all derive from human attributes pushed to Olympic levels (and beyond).
Enhanced Vision - 3 Level 1: 20/20 Vision Level 2: Limited night vision. Able to see up to fifteen feet in starlight. (colors fade in starlight) Level 3: Able to see up to thirty-five feet in starlight. Level 4: Able to see 70 feet in starlight, and 15 in pitch blackness. (only shades of gray in pitch blackness - no color) Level 5: Able to see perfectly in starlight, 30 feet in pitch blackness, and able to see 'more' than perfectly in normal light (telescopic vision)
Enhanced Intelligence - 3 Level 1: Simple Photographic memory (Definitions for words, sentences.) Level 2: Moderate Photographic Memory (Geometry formulas, simple Chemistry) Level 3: Personal Photographic Memory (Never forgets a face or voice.) Level 4: Enhanced Language Comprehension (Able to piece together understanding of common-root languages: IE, Spanish and French. Also assists in learning languages when knowing at least one same-root) Level 5: Complex Photographic Memory (College level Chemistry, entire texts. Every word from 1200 page novel.)
Enhanced Dexterity - 3 Level 1: Able to catch most things thrown at her, infinite juggling. Level 2: Perfect balance even on slippery ground Level 3: Always lands on her hands and feet (given appropriate amount of time to spin her body.) Level 4: Perfect control over fine motor functions. Level 5: Fingers able to bend opposite direction, toes able to perfectly grip as if possessing thumbs. Able to land on hands and feet from 'improbable' distances.
Enhanced Strength: 3 Level 1: Able to lift 60 extra pounds effortlessly. (over what build would normally allow) Can 'lift' (as in, such a weight lifting competition) twice the amount for a few seconds. Can throw a ball around 30 MPH. Able to jump extra foot. Level 2: Able to lift 130 extra pounds effortlessly. Twice the amount for a few seconds. Around 45 MPH throwing. Able to jump foot and a half. Level 3: Able to lift extra 210 pounds. Twice the amount for 20 seconds. Around 90 MPH throwing. Level 4: Able to lift 360 extra pounds. Twice the amount for 40 seconds. Can throw ball faster than human possibility (115 MPH) Level 5: Can throw objects weighing up to 60 MPH as if they weigh nothing, can throw baseball out of stadium, can throw baseball hard enough to break hand through catcher's mitt.
Levitation - 3 Level 1: Able to enhance jumps to add extra few inches of height. Level 2: Able to float inches above ground for ten seconds. One Foot more to jumps. Level 3: Able to jump and hold height gained from jump for twenty seconds. Level 4: Able to float inches above ground indefinitely. Can jump and hold height for one minute. Two feet more to jumps. Level 5: Can 'fly' for two minutes. Only able to go up, down, left, right, and diagonals. 3MPH flight speed.
Shadowmeld - 2 Level 1: Able to hide in shadows, blending in with the darkness. Able to be seen by looking, even without any powers or even light sources. Happens whenever Charlotta stands still in shadows or darkness. Level 2: More fully able to blend in, making her indistinguishable without some form of light to look for her. Powers can easily see her within it. Only when standing still (cannot turn off). Level 3: Able to slowly move inside shadows and maintain ability. Walking while in shadows mutes footsteps to normal human hearing. (Can turn off and on) Level 4: Charlotta fully blends with the shadows, light shined onto where she's standing in it only causes her to naturally move to the nearest shadow connected to where she was. If no shadow is available, revealed with terrible headache. Level 5: Able to move more quickly and maintain full blending while in shadows.
Temptation - 2 Level 1: Charlotta's voice is hauntingly memorable, though it does little to help convince. Level 2: Char's pronunciation seems to be perfect according to the listener. Anyone with resistance to mental tampering hears her actual pronunciation, but those who do not have such hear her words said in the pronunciation they would 'like' to hear. Level 3: Simply hearing her voice can cause minor amounts of endorphins to release. Level 4: Listener's have words echo through their heads for a few moments, like haunting lyrics to a song. Level 5: Char can perfectly control how a person hears her, from making them think she is whispering in their ears (including warm breaths of air that do not exist) to shouting at them (with non-existant spitting), as long as they can hear how she is actually speaking from where they are. ((Whisper from across a stadium by shouting something))
Enhanced Endurance: 0
Level 1: Able to hold breath and maintain full sprint for extra minute. Level 2: More force required to break bones. (1.5 normal required force) Level 3: Skin more resistant to cuts or bruises. Immune to 'weak' diseases (common cold, stomach flu.) Level 4: Able to hold breath/sprint for extra 8 minutes. Level 5: Entire body more resistant to damage, pain receptors dulled, organs less prone to rupturing or bleeding.
Enhanced Speed: 0
Level 1: 1.25x Faster movement for 3 minutes.(30 minute break between uses) Level 2: 1.5x Faster Movement for 3 minutes. (30 minute break between uses) Level 3: 1.75x faster movement for 3 minutes. (30 minute break between uses) Level 4: 1.25x Faster Movement Permanently, 2x faster for 3 minutes. (30 minute break between uses) Use of temporary increase removes permanent effect for thirty minutes. Level 5: 1.5x Faster Movement Permanently, 2.25x Faster for 3 minutes (30 minute break between uses) Use of temporary increase removes permanent effect for thirty minutes.
Resistances:
Hardy: Strength Sapping abilities are less powerful due to Charlotta's natural hardiness. (3) Level 1: Powers that invoke tiredness or sleep take ten extra seconds to affect her. During this time, she becomes aware of the power usage, but not where it is from. Level 2: Powers that drain the health of a person take twice as long to take full effect, and alert her to such a use of power, but not where it is from. Level 3: Powers that directly go against one of her existing 'enhanced' attributes do 2/3rds as much. (Trying to make her 'dumber' is less effective, as is removing her fine motor skills)
Weaknesses:
Emotional - Charlotta cries very easily, due to how much she has been made fun of, due to her appearance. Insults about her being 'creepy' or similar statements cause almost instantaneous crying.
Shy - When around people she does not know Charlotta physically cannot raise her voice above a whisper, and becomes much less opinionated.
Barriers - Like all Sluaghs, Charlotta loses control of her powers if she enters somewhere uninvited.

Journal Entry 00
All alone. Thatis how it always is for me. That was my place, I supposed as I sat in the corner, watching the other children play, not a single one glancing at me for more than a moment, and always looking nervous when they did notice that I was around. This was how it always was when I went anywhere at all. I certainly wasn’t going to care this time though. I was just going to sit there any try to be happy. Maybe if I kept smiling someone would come over and talk to me about playing with them. Or even just one of the adults deciding to teach me something 'new'. I didn't mind if they underestimated how much I knew. I just wished someone would want me for something.
Of course they wouldn’t. I know they wouldn’t. They never had before, why would they do so now? I knew I shouldn’t be thinking like this, no one here would even understand that what they were doing was mean probably. The ones that did were obviously enjoying being mean too. So it didn’t matter. They were either too slow to realize how hurtful it was, or intentionally hurting me. So I did what I always did, and retreated inwardly. I gave thoughts to the poems and stories I read, silently wishing they could be my life. That one day I might just wake up with friends and family galore. Of course I knew it was impossible, and that dreams did always come true. At least others were happy I supposed, perhaps I took the bad so they did not need to. I guess if that was true I would not mind it, making other people happy would be nice. I shook my head and glanced around as I heard "Chaarr.... charr....chaaaar!!" being called.
The voice that called to me, despite my hopes, was not from the outside, but instead from the ‘person’ within me. Ladiah seemed to have been calling my name for awhile, from the tone the Mane was taking. “Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar. Wake up! Stop ignoring me this instant!!!!!!!” My only friend had a very short temper when it came to being ignored, and I felt terrible for leaving her 'shouting' for me. At least for that moment, I had been a terrible friend to the only one I had. How could I do something like that? Still, she did not need to be so upset just because I was thinking.
I frowned 'at' my friend, extremely quietly sighing, “Yes, Dia? “ I muttered it, the same whisper I always used, hoping the other kids wouldn’t notice me talking to herself now, though I already had seen even some of the adults glance over at me, and make faces. As if being ‘special’ wasn’t enough, I had to be doubly special. I loved Dia, she was my best friend, but I still wished that I could have been normal sometimes. That I could be friends with all of the angels and fairies and everyone. I still had trouble believing it when I was told I was family to all of the Fae. They were so bright and colorful and had wings, and I was... dark and evil looking by their standards. I suppose I held all the ugly and terrible that they lacked...
Ladiah kept rambling on, about how great I was and how pretty I was and generally trying to cheer me on; she did not really catch my attention until she paused for a moment and then continued on, “… if you want I could just beat them up for picking on you!!! I mean they deserve it! And you’re way better than them and have meee so who needs them!!!!!” Ladiah giggled after the suggestion, forcing me to just sit stunned for a few moments. Could she really believe this was a good idea? How would that help anything? I disliked how violent she was, though I would never tell her as much. I liked people being happy, even if I was not, and I would never want to hurt another person.
I then began in a panicked whisper, “No, no no, you do not get to beat people up just for being sort of I mean I mean I want friends they are already afraid of my appearance why would you make them scared that I am some sort of bully too?” I didn't say it, but part of my did like the idea of them paying for mistreating me, at least the ones who did it purposefully instead of out of ignorance. But I'd never say it, and I would definitely never let Ladiah actually do it.
In response, Ladiah just quieted down, a little sad HMPH being her response to being shot down; I suspected she knew how I really felt, but I wasn't completely sure, and she didn't respond when I called her name leaving me to dwell. And sadly, I was quite good at this. Watching my lap I sighed, tapping the wall with the tips of my long curved fingernails, to entertain myself. One two three four… one two three four. Music was so lovely, and even just tapping could take me away from where I was, at least for a moment.
It never lasted long for me, sadly.

Critique Time!
Everything here seems really good! I might say that most of the quest seems to be written for a Meta in the Teen stage, but adding in some immaturity to her personality for now should fix that right up. C:
Ladiah also seems fine, I might tone down some of her neediness since Manes are supposed to be beneficial to their Hosts, and if she's THAT needy she'd actually be more of a hindrance. :C
Anyways this quest is:
