She thought for a moment about his question, not sure how to answer. She doubted that her parents would be coming back for her any time soon, they had left her with her grandparents because she'd started to get to old for them to lug around easily. "I don't think I'll be going any where. My parents are the ones that move around, but I'm with my grandparents...they pretty much have lived here long enough to grow roots." It was funny to think that the longer he sat here the more she spoke, getting used to his presence even though she knew she shouldn't. She grew quiet, she wanted him to be more than a friend, but should she tell him that? "Marcus....I have to tell you something..." She took a deep breath and fiddled with her skirt a little before looking up at him. "I've kind of...had a crush on you since I saw you, I just never had the courage to talk to you."

At this moment she wanted to be any where but here, next to him. Maybe she had made the wrong choice in telling him about the way she really saw him. "I'm sorry....if this makes things weird now...I just didn't w-want to keep it a secret." She sucked in a soft breath trying to keep from crying. "You don't have to talk to me again...if you don't want." Slowly she started to pack up her lunch, expect the bag of cookies, if he really liked them she didn't want to take them away.
