The Arach Clan was originally begun by a young man named Herald Mscamish, when he befriended the dragons of the high mountain peaks. He had the gift to live in peace and harmony with these reptilian beings, and soon went down the the local village to tell his fellow man.
Instead they blamed him of being mad, and locked him in the stronghold away from others as a threat. One woman--Lily Orire--did believe him, and visited him every day. The prision was dirty and deseased so Lily journied to the top of the moutains agaisnt Herald's concerned warning.
She risked her life and pleaded with the dragons to set Herald free before he died in the stronghold. The dragons agreed, but instead asked for Lily's firstborn child. She took the deal and the dragons flew upon the village, burning huts of the rude people who had taunted Herald. They crushed the prision and freed Herald, who rode upon the dragons' backs to the moutains to see Lily.
He was so pleased that Lily believed him and helped him, and they spent theirs days with the dragons. Seven years later, their first son was born. As promised the couple handed him over to the dragons, who cared for him as their own.
It soon came time for the dragons to leave their home in the high moutain caves. They soon flew far away, taking the young child with them. The boy, named Karo, grew with the ways of the dragons. He learned their ways, ate with them, and even developed special adaptions also know as "transformations" in present day Domhan. Karo later devoted his life to gathering more humans who wished to learn the ways of the dragons. This gathering became known as the Arach Clan, or People of the Dragons. The dragons had long since deceased as well as Karo, but their culture and beliefs still stay alive today.
