Name: Valentius - Valen
Link to Image: N/A
DNA Strand 1: Leviathan - (INFO)
DNA Strand 2: White-Backed Ratel (Mellivora capensis leuconota) - (INFO)
Informative Blurb: He likes fire; the leviathan is described as breathing fire and exuding light from his eyelids and as such, regardless of whether or not Valentius is capable of doing so on his own, he has an obsession with flames. He'd always carry a lighter around with him and is frequently very taken with the flames, watching them flicker; some men may want to watch the world burn but Valen wants to make it.
He's very, very proud and pompous; the leviathan is described as the "king over all that are proud," and Valen definitely feels that he is superior to others in every way ("Nothing on earth is his equal" ). He's also fearless (again partially because of his leviathan DNA) and takes a very dim view of others trying to threaten him. He is aggressive as all hell, frequently snarling, posturing, and showing his razor sharp fangs, even to people who have done nothing to him.
A rather solitary creature, Valen prefers to spend his time eating and sleeping and is not particularly picky about either of those things. Anything that looks remotely edible will go into Valen's mouth and it's unlikely that, once it goes in, it'll ever come out. One of the very few times that Valen tries his best to be socially acceptable is when he's interested in having sex; he will try to court whoever is unlucky enough to attract his interest and fascination, except his idea of courtship is likely something like bringing kills or food to his object of affection in hopes that they'd find him suitable enough.
Flaws:
===== Abrasive: Valentius does not pull any punches. If he thinks this or that, he's going to say so. He's never one to sugar coat, never one to hesitate, never one to employ the filter between his brain and his mouth. He doesn't care if what he says hurts someone, he's going to say it anyway and everyone else can just suck his d**k if they don't like it. Or, hey, they could suck his d**k anyway.
===== Self-centered: Valentius' world revolves around him. Valentius is what matters most to Valentius. He can consider other people's likes, dislikes, and desires, but they will never approach Valentius' in importance and urgency. He's willing to fulfill things others need or want done, but only if they coincide with his own desires. If they contradict, openly or even slightly, his, Valentius might actually go out of his way to sabotage them.
===== Lacks a conventional moral code: While not completely amoral, Valen doesn't operate to the same standards as everyone else. His code is quite deficient and mostly consists of things like 'don't kill babies,' 'don't kill people who are incapacitated or deficient,' 'if it's a snake, ******** slaughter it,' and 'don't kill ********,' while completely lacking anything about the torture or death of anyone who doesn't fall into these categories.
===== Carnal: For the most part, Valen's brain is considering the ideas of violence, sex, and eating - and the three aren't always well separated. While he won't kill any of his lovers (while they are his lovers, and Valen's c**k has a very short memory), that doesn't mean he might not take a chomp out of them, taking a "love bite" to a whole new level. Rough sex, too, is the best sex, and Valen never says no to a game of chase before a ********/>===== Sadistic: Valentius likes to see that others are affected by him. Sexually, emotionally, physically - they need to be bothered by him, act differently when he's around. While he's usually content for these behavioural changes to be positive, if they won't react, then Valen will make them react; he's not, at all, above intimidating through threats of violence, sexual advances, actual violence, so that whenever they see him again, they'll react, they'll shy away, they'll give him the respect that Valentius is convinced he deserves.
Virtues:
===== Determined: If it hasn't been made clear, Valentius is convinced that everything he does is perfect and right. He makes no exceptions, believes nothing else, and refuses to compromise. While this could also manifest itself as the flaw of stubbornness, it also means that, when Valentius is given a job that he supports, they can rest assured that the job will be done and will be done well.
===== Predictable: Valentius is not a thing of complex emotions or reasonings, usually. He is not the type for sabotage nor underhanded dealings, so should be feel some need to retaliate, it is always above deck, always obvious, always prepared. He tends to be vocal so a warning that he's hungry means he needs food or he'll make food out of people - there's no underhandedness here, no deceit. Valentius has no time for this, no passion. It's easier if everyone knows where everyone stands. He can sometimes be found forgetting that not everyone is as open as he is and is sometimes confused by lies and underhandedness...
And a confused Valentius is something no one wants.
===== Genuine: As previously discussed, Valentius doesn't pull punches. He says exactly what he thinks and nothing else - but that also means he isn't big on lying because he doesn't see the point. Did he break that beaker? Yes, absolutely. What are you gonna do about it? That's right, he didn't think so, so who cares that he broke it. However, when Valentius (however rare it is) sees something that he likes, that he thinks is good... He'll say so. He has no problems giving complements, none whatsoever, except for the fact that he simply just genuinely doesn't think of them very frequently. If, for some reason, he feels helpful, he'll give some criticism, but specifically, as in "this doesn't work," as opposed to "that just sucks," but he doesn't feel helpful that frequently.
===== Decisive: Valen never has any problems making a decision. Constantly ready to go, if Valentius is given a situation with several options as to his course of action, he'll consider them, give them their due weight, and then decide, never look back, and never doubt his decision. Not the wishy-washy type, Valentius refuses to waste time thinking that he could use acting, which is probably something that will lead to him dying a painful death eventually.
===== Trustworthy (in regards to his word): If Valen can be convinced to give his word, to promise, then it's as good as done. He doesn't waste time with lying, doesn't waste time with false promises; if he's given his word to do something, it's because he's all but completely convinced that he can accomplish what he's promised. If, for some reason, it turns out that he cannot, he'll do it to the best of his ability - and they'll get an apology, which is only slightly less rare than spontaneously combusting.
General Attitude: If people expected something light and fluffy out of the union of two particularly aggressive creatures, they were stupid and infinitely incorrect. Valentius lives up to both DNA strands as a proud, aggressive creature who takes no one's s**t, who will stop for no one, who will tone down his goals and desires for no one.
He can have his moments of being passive, of being ... "gentle," after a fashion, were he to be caught between meals and thoroughly sated sexually, of being in a mood where he literally cannot raise his blood to the point of being frustrated or angry or violent, but these moments should not be relied upon.
Possessing a very voracious appetite, Valentius spends most of his time skulking about, looking for pieces of a** and food, chewing people out who get in his way
Interests: Torturing people weaker than him, hunting.
Likes: Having sex, eating, killing things, torturing things.
Dislikes: Everything not on the above list.
