I had that on my blue one, I kept sending it into nintendo for repairs, it got to the point where I bought the purple one and got rid of my blue one, but now I have like this small scratch on the bottom of my top screen and I have no clue where it came from, so I ordered screen protectors to prevent anymore scratches because the last time I got that line it left permanent scratches and was always noticeable when I played in 3d

I have a little bit of an outer mark where I dropped it, but otherwise I don't think I have scratches on mine. Though it collects lint like nobody's business. Mine mostly lives in my pocket lately.

nintendo DS and DSI have raised borders, but they're adjacent to the top screen.
since the 3DS' 3D screen is 30% wider than the touch screen, the raised area creates scratches as you walk. it makes scratches because the raised border is .75mm taller than the Nintendo DS / DSI's raised area.

lol i sound like a geek! xd
