Biography: While Ethan grew up he lived on a ship, his dad died before he was born and his mother died giving birth to him. He was taken care of by the first mate of a first rate pirate crew. They spent the first few years of his life they searched for treasure whenever they heard a rumor. They never had an interest in One Piece, the captain would always call it a, 'Death trap that only stupid idiots would be foolish enough to go after.' But nevertheless they lost crew mates who did go out to find new crews to search for the treasure. This included the first mate who snuck away in the middle of the night when he was ten. He hated him for leaving him, he always wished he'd taken him with him.
Eight years later when they had destroyed a ship that had attacked them, they came across a very mysterious fruit. Ethan had been on the sea for weeks at this time, so when he saw the fruit he scarfed it down as fast as he could. It tasted amazing on his dry tongue, then he realized what power it held when his arms and legs burst into flames. In fear he jumped into the sea and came up sputtering and sinking calling for help. The crew fished him out and told him about the Devil Fruits and the power he now held. A few weeks later they came to a small town where he met a waitress named Emma, he fell in love and asked her to go with him when they left, she accepted. A year later as he was about to propose, the ship was attacked by Marines, the captain died first, Ethan looked for Emma, he found her just in time to see her executed by a Marine admiral with the same type of powers as he had, he tried to fight the marines but the admiral was too powerful, he lost and as a result fell into the sea.
He washed up onshore a very small island the next morning, he swore revenge on all marines for his crew and his love, and to find that admiral and take his head himself. for the next three years he trained his fruit powers and in sword fighting, he used his memories of his crew and his hatred of the Marines to drive his further. His crimes against the world government with his Devil Fruit powers he has come to be known as the Fire King.
