She couldn't help but grin lightly when he asked her out for some coffee later.She had been planning on asking him out for drinks. Guess he had beat her to it, not that she minded. It was better this way in fact, at least she'd know he really wanted to go out with her for instead of just being considerate because she had asked.
The only problem was, she was working a double today.
" Whaaa! Of coar-" Mai quickly clamped her hand over her sons loud mouth.
Though she was happy her son approved of this, she was embarrassed about just how enthusiastic he was about it. Making it out to seem as if it's been forever since his mother had a date.
"Ah haha.. Sure. Coffee sounds great. However I don't get off work until around 11 tonight, working a double. So if you don't mind having that coffee late..." She offered him a smile.
Things were going too smoothly!! Mai was beginning to wonder if she was dreaming. She's never had it this easy with a guy, when he knows about her son. It made her begin thinking that perhaps there was something wrong with him. maybe he was married...no, there wasn't any wedding band. Maybe a play boy.. that was possible, but they aren't usually so nice. ...Then ti hit her..Maybe he was gay. That would explain everything.
She shook her head and returned her thoughts to what was before her.
"Ah um, yea. So maybe coffee tonight? There is this nice little cafe on Hacov Avenue. On the corner. Its called Shelby's. A-anyway, I've got to go drop off my son. Hope you have a good day at work!"
She took her son's hand and turned to leave the park, Taehyun waving energetically at Nate as they left.
