Welcome to the nth incarnation of Letters From Shinra, the insanely entertaining, wildly out of line roleplay centered around the personal lives of Shinra Inc. -as well as the other characters of the game, but we don't care about them as much-.
While our current crisis and situation may vary, there are always a few things that remain the same in every incarnation. 1.) President Shinra is very, very Dead. 2.) The Nibelheim Incident did not happen, and we pretty much ignore the other games too. 3.) Rufus is almost always in complete control of Shinra -there was one time that Scarlet and Hojo took over, and another time where he got fed up and just turned the entire company into Zombies-. 4.) It is always set at Shinra, even if we have blown up the building, or destroyed the world -in which case, the rp is reset and we start over from the beginning.-
We reset infrequently and start at the beginning, but we will always warn you before this happens. -This is always preceded by a period of silence from the mods-. In fact, this is the most recent reset, congratulations, you've witnessed the rebirth and I've added this just so it's not exactly the same as the last one. Don't we feel special?
Our only goal is to have fun, screw with the characters and maybe kill a few people and piss off the entire world. Don't like it, go away. It's that simple.

This roleplay is Invite-Only. We assume you know how it goes, but just to cover our asses.
Character Hierarchy.
Yes, we also have a screwed up view of Shinra, Don't judge us.
At the top is Rufus, with the department heads, Tseng -Head Turk-, and General Sephiroth answering directly to him, with a tiered system leading down the line all the way to the faceless employees that populate the company and the kill list. Further details on this system are available on your request. Use good judgement.

All relationships are welcome, but please clear it with the other player before you start something.
Prank wars are fun, real wars are not. Killing (another PC) is not allowed except for special circumstances.
Godmoding is not cool, and anyone caught doing this will not like the consequences. Please, please, please do not take control of another character's actions without clearing it with the player first.
Massive amounts of chaos must be approved by Chaos. If you have an idea that will upturn the rp on it's head, please clear it with me first. Of course, random violence and such is fine, as long as it's restricted to one floor -you will get bitched at by Rufus if this happens-.
I expect every single player to use proper spelling and grammar. A typo or a misspelling here and there every now and then is fine, but not every other word/sentence/paragraph. -However, if it's for characterization purposes, this rule may be waived. Ask first.-
More than one sentence –preferably more than one paragraph- for almost every response. Sometimes it is acceptable to be brief, but not in every single post.
If a character changes owners, their new owner has the right to drop any personality or storyline threads that they need to be able to roleplay the character. This will cause a plot hole, but is perfectly fine. -We have enough of those already, what's a few more-.
We will have frequent activity checks, but if you have a good excuse for not posting, we'll forgive you rather quickly. Unless, of course, you've put something on hold and we want it now, at which point, you'll probably get bitched at by Rufus-.

Dearest Minions,
It has come to my attention that several of our departments are slacking when it comes to enforcing certain regulations that were put into place for the good of the company, therefore to ensure that we do not have anymore unneeded, possibly preventable deaths and/or injuries on company grounds, I am issuing a little test to the ranking members of each department with the sole exception of Administrative Research. Anyone who fails to receive at least a 70% will not like the results.
That said, if you feel you qualify as a ranking member of your department, find a Turk, any Turk and ask for the needed information, as well as a copy of the test. If one is feeling particularly lucky, one might even go as far as to ask for the answers. When finished, I expect a hard copy of your completed test to either be handed to me in person, to a trusted Turk -Note: Reno is not trusted-, or, if one is from SOLDIER, to our handy little package boy.
The consequences for not following my orders will be very severe, and by Shiva, we're using hard copies to ensure that you morons don't cheat and foist it off on some lackey. If you do, I will know, and I will not be happy, so one is advised to finish this little bit of paperwork before one starts wrecking the building again.
