Need a message delivered? Yeah, we can help you with that... The Wakimbiaji offer a seemingly simple service to the outside world: they'll memorize any message and deliver it. They don't charge for this service, but are they really doing it out of the goodness of their heart? No, not really.
The Wakimbiaji value information above all things. The more they know about their allies, enemies, and neutral parties, the happier they are. They aren't kidding around when they say they'll memorize a message. They'll also memorize every scrap of information they can gather about the sender, the recipient, and the relationship between the two of them. The Wakimbiaji want to know everything about everyone.
Fortunately (or unfortunately), they're willing to share that information - for a price. They will repeat absolutely any message to anyone willing to offer a decent bribe. The only exception are messages that the sender or recipient bribed them not to repeat.

Ranks
First Speaker The first speaker is the leader of the pride and oversees everything that happens. The first speaker is elected during a secret meeting held by the first runners and master bards. If the current first speaker proves to be unsatisfactory, then the first runners and master bards can hold an emergency vote to depose the current leader and elect a new one. Currently unavailable
First Runner First runners lead small groups of runners on expeditions from the pride. The position comes with a lot of power and respect, but the worth of a first runner is solely determined by how many runners follow them. Runners can switch allegiance and follow a different first runner at any time. Once gained, the position can't be lost, but first runners without any followers are looked down upon and mocked. Prerequisites: Runner rank, three followers, 1 expedition RP
Runner Runners leave the pride on expeditions to gain information and carry messages. Every expedition is led by a first runner, who generally follows a fixed route. Runners are known for their speed and endurance.
Master Bard The master bards have years of experience behind them and/or exceptional promise. They oversee the bards. Prerequisites: Bard rank, 2 RPs doing bard things
Bard As a group, the bards are expected to memorize and track all the information the pride gathers. This is a lot of information, so individual bards often specialize in information for certain prides, regions, and/or species. They record information in a crude pictographic system painted on the walls of a deep cave that only the bards enter. Bards double as entertainers and recite songs about the pride's history. Sometimes bards will travel with a group of runners or on their own so that can see the outside world. Their strong training in observation and memorization makes them excellent spies and their ability to sing and entertain makes them welcome in many places.
Scout The scouts patrol the borders of the pride and turn away any rogues that get too close. They're also in charge of maintaining a series of traps that can be sprung at a moment's notice and training all members on which escape routes to use if the pride is attacked. They tend to avoid direct confrontation and rely on taunting troublesome rogues until they give chase, at which point they lure them into a trap capable of incapacitating them.
Hunter Hunters gather food for the pride. This is the default adult rank.
Nanny Nannies help raise the pride's youth and teach them the pride's history.
Apprentice Adolescents are expected to chose a future rank and train heavily.
Youth The cubs and juveniles within the pride.

Gods and Seers Gods bla bla bla
Seers that can control and correctly interpret their visions are prized because of the information they can gather.
Sexuality, Mates, and Flings As long as the relationship is between consenting adults, nobody cares. Adolescent breeding is discouraged because it interferes with training, but still happens now and then. Rogue breeding is fine.
Hybrids Opinion over hybrids is hotly divided in the pride. As a compromise, cheetah hybrids are only allowed if they are born in. Lion, leopon, and leopard cubs born to fertile cheetah hybrids are kicked out upon reaching adolescence.
Familiars Only avians are allowed. They are especially prized by scouts and runners.
Outsiders Outsiders are to be used, but never trusted. Any pride member that reveals the location of the pride or other pridal secrets to an outsider faces exile.

Relationship with other prides The Wakimbiaji follow a strict policy of noninterference with other prides. They will not enter pridal lands unless invited, nor will they discuss anything that happens within pride boundaries. Information on what pride members do outside of pride land is fair game, however.
Allies The Wakimbiaji are more than happy to bargain with other prides. The first speaker will meet with the leader(s) of any potential ally pride to negotiate the terms of a treaty and the length of time the treaty will remain in effect.
Current allies: None!
Threats Some prides are better left avoided. The Wakimbiaji scrupulously gather information about these prides, their leaders, and their movements, but from a distance and largely by hearsay. All bards and runners are warned to stay clear of these prides.
Current threats: None!
Enemies Although the Wakimbiaji rarely engage in direct conflict, they will gleefully make the lives of their enemies a living hell through a combination of rumors, blackmail, hired mercenaries, and the time honored tradition of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” The policy of noninterference does not apply.
Current enemies: None!

Joining Joining is currently open! The master bard and first runner ranks are available without RP during the I/T phase. First runners without any runners following them will still be looked down upon. (Sorry, these cheetahs are total jerks.)
