Bio: No one is sure quite where he came from or how he got to the Duel academy. He radiates a sort of aura of power, like he shouldn't be messed with. But no doubt some of the older kids will try him because he's a first year and no other reason. In truth, he was an orphan for most of his life, his parents disappeared when he was just little. When he learned about the duelling, h e thought of it as a way to make himself stronger. He has since run away from the orphanage, living on his own and hitchhiking across the country while building his deck. Now he's just trying to be his own person.

Bio: Calder started off with one card, a card he found on the street. It was probably dropped by a passing duelist. His first card, Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon, inspired him to start collecting cards. Calder was only interested in Water based monsters, his favorite element. It took him years to put together a deck, a card here a card there. His family didn't want anything to do with Calder's hobby. After enough pleading, his family sent him to the Duel Academy. They even got him enrolled in Obelisk Blue.

While Calder waited for his enrollment to start, he started to practice his dueling skills. He won more than he lost, it started to give him a big head. Calder, once grateful for the small things he used to have since his family didn't use their money on him, is now cocky. His dreams are to soar to the highest ranking of the class, and be the best duelist there ever was.

Bio: He grew up without either of his parents, being raised by his older brother. His brother who had been a fairly famous dualist, though obviously not on the level of Seto Kaiba or Yugi Moto taught him how to dual from a young age. His brother died in a car accident around Alvin's 14th birthday. Using the money he got from the life insurance on his brother he joined dual academy and began using his brothers deck.
