The Guild of Assassins – Tibetan Branch

Founder: Yonten, former of the League of Assassins

Founded: 1631

Current Leader: Possibly Renée Maria Montoya AKA The Question

Artefact in their possession: The Truth (Translated from the Nepali word सत्य)

Artefact history: The Truth is a box, roughly the size of a jack-in-the-box, that Yonten discovered shortly after he left the League of Assassins. Some legends have it he found it in a volcano. Some say he found it after the eruption of a volcano. Others claim that he either stole it from Ra’s Al Ghul or that a deity gave it to him.

Whatever the truth of how Yonten acquired the artefact, he soon learned that when opened it showed him truths that were often hidden. From the knowledge he gained Yonten assembled the first couple of members and initiated them into the guild by having them look into the box. Any initiative that failed the first test were quickly driven insane by what they saw and left to wander the Tibetan mountains.

Training

All who are inducted into the Guild of Assassins receive various forms of training. This includes stealth tactics, including the way of the Ninja. Recruits receive training in various forms of martial arts and hand-to-hand training. New members are immediately expected to look into The Truth and face what they see within (exceptions to this are certain Orders, including the Order of St Dumas - they will look into The Truth, but it may be when they first join, halfway through their training or at the end of their training). Knowledge in weapons, including explosives, knives, swords and various exotic melee weapons, including Sais, Nunchaku etcetera. A trainee must also learn the code of Bushido. A inductee into the Guild is trained in the art of Parkour, thus allowing them the ease of being able to move freely in any environment.

(More to come)
