-----The pride is mostly a cheetah/leopard pride, but all felines are welcome. Pelt color is not important to the pride at all.

The Tale

How the pride started is a mystery. The members believe that two gods brought two different prides together, creating Yploipo Gis. The pride feels like, as long as their is a leopard and cheetah as the rulers, the pride will continue to flourish and keep in balance. ((will add more later))

The Rules



Breeding:
1. Breeding should be done between a married couple. Cheating on a spouse is not allowed and will usually end with the cheater leaving the pride. If they stay in the pride their spouse is allowed to leave them. If this happens the cheater is not allowed to remarry.

2. Flings are usually not allowed. The only exception is for single males who fling in the rogue lands. Females can do the same, however it will be a scandalous event for her and there will be many rumors about her. ((OoC: you just need to ask one of the pride owners if it is okay. There will be a list of those who are okay to fling outside the pride))

Species:
1. This is a feline only pride. However canines are welcome to visit as long as they do not have ill intentions. Familiars are all welcome in the pride as long as they have a feline they are with.

2. Two different felines are allowed to be a mated couple, unless they are the heirs. The heirs and the queen and king cannot have a mate outside their species.

The beliefs


-----Religion:
----------The members of Ypóloipo Gis believe in reincarnation. They believe to gain a better life in the next life they need to live a pure life. Part of this is listening to the clan leaders, the queen and king, as well as the god(dess). The only time they do not need to obey the orders of ---------- one of them are when it is obvious one has been corrupted.

-----God(dess):
----------The members of Ypóloipo Gis feel honored and bless when a god or goddess comes to visit the pride. Upon the gods visit, pride members will decorate the god(dess)'s shrine. If this is the gods first visit, a group of builders will construct a shrine for them.

-----Seers:
----------Seers born in the pride are seen as a blessing from the gods. They are usually given special treatment in the pride.

-----God Children:
----------Offspring of a god of goddess are seen as demi-gods. The pride views them as being more powerful then morals, but not as strong as the gods themselves. Like seers, they are highly respected, often times they are able to become clan leaders without any problems. ------------------Matchmakers often try and pair god offspring with the royal family (assuming they are cheetah or leopard) or clan leaders.

-----Rogues:
----------Rogues are welcome in the pride as long as they do not cause trouble. They are welcome to join in on the celebrations (if one is occurring). Rogues maybe watched by some members, but are free to stay as long as they like.

-----Names:
----------Nature related names are common in the pride, however this is not mandatory, especially for rogues coming into the pride. Another common thing for in born members, is that they are a lot of times named after an ancestor.

-----Species:
----------The pride is made up mostly of Cheetahs and Leopards, however any feline is welcome in the pride, along with familiars who have partners.

-----Flings:
----------Are not encouraged and can cause some problems. A member will not be kicked out of the pride if they have a fling, but they will be looked down upon.

----------However, if a male pride member were to go to the rogue lands and have a fling there, it would be okay as long as no pride members knew about it.

-----Life Mating:
----------Is an important part of the culture in the pride. Marriage between two members of the pride is highly celebrated.

----------It should be noted that having a mate in another clan isn't uncommon. However on of them will have to move to the others clan land. Usually it is discussed between the couple and their families. If a decision cannot be made it is brought to the clan leader's attention.

----- Divorce:
----------Divorce hardly ever happens. However sometimes a mated couple cannot live together and need to be separated. To do this they must find their original matchmaker and ask to be separated. It is only with the matchmakers blessing that they are allowed to divorce.

-----Arranged Marriages:
----------Arranged Marriages happen all the time. Sometimes the ones being arranged have some voice in the matter, but usually they do not. The arranged marriages happen inside and outside the pride. Sometimes princes and princesses are arranged to marry outside the pride in ----------hopes of creating peace between prides. Even if the couple does not feel happy about their arrangement, they still must go through with it or they must leave the pride.

----------Even new members are involved in the arranged marriages. Usually they are paired with one of the older families in hopes of getting rid of the rogue blood in the offspring. ((OoC: You are allowed to pick your SoAs mate, just remember that the arrangement was probably done with a matchmaker involved))

-----Hybrids:
----------Hybrids is an odd subject in the pride. Some members are against mates of different species having cubs and others are cool with it. Hybrids will be welcomed in the pride and treated like any other member. However the royal families are strictly to be cheetahs and -------------------leopards. There will be no mixing there.

The Clans

A member gets to choose which Clanthey feel fits them the most.

Members of different clans are allowed to be married.

Cubs do not belong in a clan until they return from their walkabout.

Rogues can come into the pride and join a clan without doing a walkabout.

----------Members of the Metal clan are brave and righteous

-----Water Clan:
----------Water members are intelligent, clever and wise

-----Wood Clan:
----------Wood members are sympathetic, kind and gentle

-----Fire Clan:
----------Fire members are energetic, creative, passionate and emotional

----------Earth members are steady and loyal

The Ranks

-----The Queen: (0/1) Open
----------The Queen is one of the rulers of the pride. The queen is always a female cheetah as well as always inherited. Along side the king, they work together to keep the pride in balance.

-----The King: (0/1) Questing
----------The King is the one who rules beside the queen. He is always a leopard and the position is always inherited. Along with the queen, they work together to keep the pride in balance.

-----Consort: (0/2) One open ((Questing the cheetah mate))
----------Mate to the King or Queen

-----Heir: (0/2)
----------Heir to the thrown. Typically the first born daughter of the queen and first born son of the king. This rank isn't given until the royal cubs return from their walkabout.

-----Prince(ss): (0/unlimited)
----------The offspring of the king or queen. They can keep this rank until there is a new king or queen. This rank has no power, but is a respected rank.

-----Clan Leaders: (0/5)
----------The clan leader is in charge of keeping their clan safe from harm, keeping peace within the clan.

-----Priest(ess): (0/unlimited)
----------Those with these ranks praise and pray to the gods. They make sure the shrines are always clean.

-----Matchmakers: (0/unlimited)
----------Matchmakers are the ones who makes the arranged marriages. They are usually highly respected by most pride members.

-----Hunters: (0/unlimited)
----------The hunters of the pride, this is the default rank for adults.

-----Teachers: (0/unlimited)
----------Teachers from different clans teach the youth different skills they will need in the pride.

-----Guards: (0/unlimited) (Metal Clan only)
---------- Guards patrol the land, watching for outsiders who want to cause problems.

-----Historians: (0/unlimited) (Water Clan only)
----------They spend their time researching the pride's past as well as taking notes about current (and future) events.

-----Healers: (0/unlimited) (Wood Clan only)
----------Healers travel around the land to make sure all are well. If someone is sick they will do their best to make them better.

-----Entertainers: (0/unlimited) (Fire Clan only)
----------Entertainers entertain with whatever skill they have. They can dance, sing, preform, paint ect

-----Builders: (0/unlimited) (Earth Clan only)
----------Build the shrines, as well as dens. They are also in charge of making the land beautiful.

-----Walkers: (0/unlimited)
----------When they reach the adolescence point in their lives they must go on a walkabout. This most be done in solitude. This is a chance for them to look deep within themselves and figure out who they are. When they return to the pride (if they decide to) they are allowed to ----------------choose their clan.

----------Cubs and Juveniles of the pride.

The Land

In center of the pride there is a crater with a lake in in. To the north there is a mountain range, this is where the dens are located. The south and east lead to a savannah like area. To the west is is the 'land of beginnings, which is a meadow area. It leads to a forest area. The east also contains the pride's shrines. ((will get a map up soon))
