So I don't know how to make my team well apparently (since this friend of mine keeps beating me HORRIBLY) and so I will start from scratch, what should I do?
I am thinking of keeping my Luxray (the only pokemon I ever EV trained) and will use a Chandelure, Rotom, and maybe a Klinklang.
As for the others and how these are built, I am up for suggestions.

felinoel So I don't know how to make my team well apparently (since this friend of mine keeps beating me HORRIBLY) and so I will start from scratch, what should I do? I am thinking of keeping my Luxray (the only pokemon I ever EV trained) and will use a Chandelure, Rotom, and maybe a Klinklang. As for the others and how these are built, I am up for suggestions. If the 4 Pokemon listed above is the base for your team (assuming default-form Rotom (ie-Electric/Ghost) and Flash Fire Chandelure), your team is looking at a serious weakness to Ground-type, Ghost-type and Dark-type attacks. Ground-types being the most threatening since it's very common in the metagame thanks to how many Pokemon that can actually learn the powerful TM 26 (Earthquake). If your working for a well rounded team (and not a gimmick like mono-types or something like that) then running Pokemon of the same types are a bit redundant. With Luxray, Chandelure and Rotom, your looking at 2 Ghost types and 2 Electric types, which is what is causing this serious gapping hole in your defenses, the easy answer would be to get rid of Rotom or Luxray (assuming you switch Rotom's ghost type to something else using an Appliance).
Honestly, there are many different ways to construct a successful roster for your Pokemon team. But if your objective is strictly just to beat your friend, then to start things off... why not just build a team to counters his/her? With that being said, what Pokemon does your friend run on his/her team?

Kyrenx (assuming default-form Rotom (ie-Electric/Ghost) and Flash Fire Chandelure) Don't assume those. Really only the Luxray is what I have of the four listed team, the rest aren't fully trained yet. The objective is to have a good and balanced team, my friend beating me so much was just what showed me it wasn't those things. Hmmm, I kinda wanna add a froslass to that team too maybe...
