Situated deep in the seediest part of the commercial district, this den of iniquity was founded by none other than the rogue sannin Ukiyo. Once a high class joint frequented by the rich and well to do, after his betrayal, the bar/casino went downhill. No upstanding citizen wanted to be associated with him anymore, even by proxy, as the rights to the business were passed on after he left. Now, the casino is frequented by only the worst off, and lowest, of Kumogakure's population. Anyone entering here would be well advised to watch their wallets, as what they don't gamble away on the tables, might walk away with a light fingered waiter instead.

Games

House Funds: 1,000 Gold
(House funds are per player. A single player may only visit the casino once, and must wait at least thirty days to visit again.)

Cho – Han
A very simple game where the dealer rolls two dice. The player has the option of guessing Odd or Even, and should the dice come out in their favor, they win. To make it more exciting, the player may also guess the exact number on one or both of the dice. Should they succeed, they will double their winnings for one die, and triple for both. Should they guess the die and fail however, they lose.
This game can be played with any bet the player likes, so long as it does not exceed the maximum set by the dealer.

Three Cups
A classic bar game. The dealer places a coin under one of three cups, and quickly slides them about, hiding the coin. The player must then choose one cup to flip up. Should it be the cup with the coin, they win. Should it not, they lose. To play this game, the player decides which cup they wish to lift. Once they have decided, the dealer rolls four six sided die. The first three represent the cups, and the highest number is the cup with the coin. Should two of the cup die match, the odd cup holds the coin. Should all three match, the player has hit the “Jackpot”, and earns triple the winnings. Should the fourth die however, land on six, the dealer has cheated, and none of the cups hold the coin. (Only three die are rolled for the High Stakes game.)
When betting on this game, the player puts forth a set sum. Should they win, the dealer pays them that much money. Should they lose, the dealer takes it all.

Russian Roulette
Slightly more complicated than other games, Russian Roulette is truly a game of chance. Each player takes turns rolling a single six sided die. If they roll anything but a six, they pass it to the next player. This continues, until someone rolls a six. When the six is rolled, that player is removed from the game, and the next round begins. Play continues until only one player remains. This game requires multiple players, all of which roll their own die. (Any cheating, such as deletion of posts, and the player will either be removed or their rolls performed by another player.) The more players, the longer the game, and the higher the stakes.
For this game each player bets the same amount. The winner takes the entire pot.

High Stakes
Played just as the basic games, high stakes simply takes the initial bet, and doubles it in every round. If the player wins, they may play again, or opt out, taking their winnings. Should they lose, they lose everything. High Stakes versions exist for every game available.
High Stakes games usually require a set buy in amount, determined by the dealer. Some high stakes games are only available upon invitation.

Purchasables

Dice
The tool of the aspiring gambler, they can be stuffed in a pocket and carried wherever you go. They are of little use for anything though, except playing games with your friends outside of a gambling hall. One set contains two OmniDice, which transform themselves, given a tiny helping of chakra, to whatever type of dice you need. (Owning a set of dice allows you to roll dice in game! Yay!)
Price: 100

"Don't worry!" Shikaku chirped, having held back by the door to wait for Yelena and heard her statement. "They won't do anything to you unless you cheat or owe them money." the boy smiled at her and then without missing a beat turned and waved at a nearby clerk sitting behind a barred window. "Hey Vinny! Can I get a loan?" he asked, grinning through the bars at the man, who just stared blankly at him. "And why would I give you money you can't pay back?" he finally spoke, eyebrow raising in question.

Shikaku pouted at that. He'd been here before, though only a few times and the clerk knew him well enough. Well enough to know he had no money anyways. But that wasn't about to stop him. This was the best place to fish for a cocky ninja pickpocket after all. "Come on, I just want to play. I'll play for the house if you want. Anything I win goes to the house and I'll pay back anything I lose." Looking side to side as if to check nobody was listening, the boy leaned in towards the bars conspiratorially. "I'm a ninja now, so I can pay it back with my mission pay!" he whispered, then stood back, back straight and grinning as if proud of his accomplishment. And again the man just stared at him for awhile.

"Fine." Vinny sighed after a few moments, leaning out of sight for a moment and then sliding a small sack of gambling chips out the barred window. "But you only get two hundred, and you'd better win, if ya know what I mean." he said with a short glare, as if warning against losing. A warning Shikaku responded to with nothing but another quick grin as he grabbed the little bag and turned to Yelena. "Let's play then!" he chirped happily, waving her towards the tables nearby, set up with the various games the casino offered. He didn't know if she knew anything about gambling, or even if she'd be comfortable in such a place, but since he'd sort of dragged her here, he figured he'd at least give her the chance to choose what game they started at. And hey, she might even make some money if she decided to play as well, using her own cash of course. And if she didn't want to risk her own money, he could always lend her some of his borrowed chips.

I know I JUST said I wasn't going to post, but the power has been stable for awhile so I decided to throw it together while I had the chance. My low activity warning does still stand though.

I think the post mostly speaks for itself, but yeah. You can play using your money or the borrowed chips if you'd like, or not play at all if you/your RPC would rather. If you do want to, you get first pick of games. Since the whole gambling bit is experimental, you can even make up a new game if you'd like, so long as it works with one of the random generation systems of Gaia and has working rules.

Yelena the Light Reaper

Yelena only watched in silence as the exchange between the two took place. It seems Shikaku comes here often. She turned her head slightly, panning across the room as she watched men's riches being gained and thrown away. A man several feet from her threw his arms up in the air after the roll of the dice. Another was in the middle of throwing a tirade after the drawing of cards. Needless to say, she was feeling very uncomfortable in this sort of place. She could feel the insects inside of her crawling to the surface of her skin, ready to be deployed at a moment's notice.

Shikaku walked past her and went over to another table, waving her over to join him. Did he suspect that the pickpocket could be in here, squandering his winnings away with an attempt at doubling his prize? Sensei did say that the pickpocket was very confident in his skills, perhaps Shikaku has a valid thought process after all. Walking over to him, she glanced down at the table and then back at him. "Shikaku, I don't condone gambling. It's a dumb risk in which people could loose their entire income and ruin lives. The odds are stacked against you and the reward of winning does not justify the risk of loosing," she whispered to him, only enough so that he could hear her. Yelena placed her hands within the pockets of her hoodie before taking a step back from him. If he wanted to gamble, that was fine, but she wasn't going to do it.

(As much as I would love to play, it's not within her personality to gamble...yet razz )

((Forget Duo he's obviously not showing up. Hammy is just a theif, no ninja in him just a lot of hamburgers.))
Hammy the Hamster bumbled through the crowd, taking care to keep his head down. He had made plenty of catches tonight, and didnt want to get caught with his pocketfulls of cash and tokens. He would just make one more... Then he saw her, clearly a member of the Aburame clan, but Hammy had learned the faces of all the village shinobi and what he could see of hers did not match up. That meant she wasn't a shinobi yet. That meant she wasn't trained yet. Aburame were a clan which meant her pockets were not empty, clans usually took care of their members. That meant that she was a target.

Moving smoothly through the crowd, keeping his pockets defended without looking too out of place. When he finally reached the woman he "tripped" into her, and weighing more than three times her weight naturally bowled her over. He slipped his hand into her pocket real quick and snatched several goodies, hiding them as he stood up. "I'm- I'm sorry ladytheroomkeeps" he paused for a moment, staring dazily into the air. "lottafine-uns in ere why you hide your face for?" He made sure to breathe his alcohol stained breath directly into her face before he was grabbed by security and dragged out of the building. A fine take followed up with a free ride. What a deal.

The two guards dropped him outside the building and shouted something about drunkards. Hammy was free and clear!

Shikaku turned around, facing Yelena after she spoke. He'd expected it really. She was obviously well dressed, and hadn't taken well to most of the things he'd said so far. She'd definitely had a fairly upstanding upbringing, not at all like he'd had, fighting his way up. So the fact she was against gambling didn't surprise him. However there was a minor detail he wanted to mention. One he'd picked up from some of the older street kids he knew, but valid in his eyes nonetheless. "Sometimes, for the mission, you have to forget morals." he said quietly, so he wouldn't be overheard in the loud establishment. And it wasn't a statement just for this moment either, or even just as ninja, though she might not notice. Was he happy with some of the things he'd had to do to survive? Of course not. He'd never done anything that bad of course, but even what little he had done could have gotten him in serious trouble, had he been an adult. "You should know that already, being a kunoichi." he added, frowning in distaste. Even he didn't like some of the things that were expected of kunoichi at times. Things they did that weren't expected of male ninja, just because of their gender, and it's... benefits.

Before he could twist back into his cheerful mode, or even begin to regret what he'd said, since it was almost definitely inappropriate to say, something happened. A large, rather overweight and ratty looking man crashed into Yelena knocking her towards him. But it wasn't that that Shikaku locked on to. He hadn't expected anything until they started winning, or at least flashing money like they were, but the man hadn't just bumped into her. Expecting it or not, Shikaku had still had an eye out, since if the target was here, he'd surely have other targets and would be at work. Apparently a well off clan girl made an appetizing target to the pickpocket.

Shikaku frowned as the man stuck around, trying to decide what to do. The man seemed truly like a clutz, but any good pickpocket knew how to play that angle. Any good pickpocket on the other hand, didn't make an obvious show of tripping over their target in a crowded room. That was an act for the street, in the casino you avoided attention. Perhaps he was as drunk as he appeared.

Before a decision could be made, a couple security officers came up behind the man and started to drag him out. The boy considered turning him in then and there, but... They had to take him in. Letting him be flayed in the backroom was contrary to the mission. So, they had to let him escape the casino if they wanted to bring him in. Tapping Yelena on the shoulder to let her know he was moving, though he was unsure whether she'd caught on yet or not herself, Shikaku vanished himself into the throng of people. The way was cleared for the guards dragging out the drunk, but that only increased the density of the crowd to the sides of their path, and the boy navigated that, following alongside the pickpocket until he could get close.

While he followed, the boy's right hand was at work in his pocket, disengaging the wire from his wallet, since that wouldn't be needed anymore. A shame really, it had been a good plan. Once he had the wallet free, he reached out, dipping his hand into the effectively immobile man's pockets to draw out his precious loot, and replacing it with the bugged wallet. That done, he fell back, allowing the man to be dragged out. Yelena would come in handy now, since she could track him if he got away while he returned his tokens. Mission or not, he wasn't going to rush off out of the building with the casino's money in his pocket. He rather enjoyed living. WITH his skin.

Might be a slight auto on the switch, but his hands WERE basically bound, and if he noticed he wouldn't dare speak out anyways, since he'd give himself away in the process. Yay! I could have finished in the building and moved outside, but I want to give Yelena time to act too!

"This is true," was all Yelena stated. She didn't argue with Shikaku because for a ninja they do have to forget morals in order to complete the mission. This resorted to killing, kidnapping, extortion, and all other types of deubachery. However she didn't consider herself a kunoichi, more like a combat medic. She became a "ninja" in order to provide medical support to ninjas on the field of battle. She wasn't expecting to have to kill and kidnap.

That was when it happened. She was so lost in thought that she didn't even notice a bumbling drunk crashing into her. She let out a slight yelp as she was almost knocked unto the ground by the rather large man. Standing upright, she turned around to face him. He had a rather stupid look on his face, and a rather annoying smirk. As he spoke, Yelena had to take a step back from the overwhelming stench and alchohol filled breath. It was so strong that she thought she would get drunk just by breathing in the air. Not having a chance to react, security had already dragged him out of the casino.

"What was that all ab...." she stopped as the insect on her shoulder practically hopped furiously. Its antennae were waving around frantically as Yelena turned her head. "Shikaku, I've just been pickpocketed!" she exclaimed wildly as her brows furrowed and her nostrils flared. "Come on!" Yelena called out to him as she maneuvered through the crowd and out the exit. As she looked around, the man was already gone. "Lead me," she said as she held her arm out and a dozen insects flew out from within her sleeves. If the man thought she wasn't able to track her own belongings, he was in for a rude awakening.

Shikaku turned around from returning his sack of chips to Vinny, having made his excuses when he heard Yelena yell and rush out the door. Flinching, he turned a wary eye on Vinny, who was staring back suspiciously. A pickpocket in the casino was bad, covering it up was worse, and the boy's timing had apparently slid him into accomplice territory. Which he supposed was almost true, in that he hadn't reported it. "Heh... Bye Vin!" the boy yelled, turning away and darting through the crowd and out the door before the man could say or do anything to stop him.

Outside, Shikaku slid to a stop beside Yelena, who appeared to be calling up her bugs. The man had gotten away, proving by the speed he vacated the area that he really wasn't as drunk as implied, and probably a bit better at his job than the boy had seen. While Yelena was working with her bugs, Shikaku pulled his gloves back out of his bag, strapping the gauntlet onto his right arm, and his shinobi marker back onto his left. Then, he unwound the wire from his leg and fed it back into the glove's reel. He would probably need that when it came time to catch this opponent.

"Be careful and keep distance when we find him. He's trickier than he looked." the boy warned, still thinking of the difference between what he'd seen in the casino and what it'd have taken to completely vanish from this area in that short of time. Why did the guy have to act so quick? And go for Yelena of all things, when he'd been the one prepared? he should have used the rich brat disguise again. Then they wouldn't have to track the guy across the village. Well, he had something of the man's. Maybe they would get lucky and he'd come looking to get it back, making their job easier.
