ORIGINAL POEM - May 1, 2012
Following wherever paths may wind,
Alone with no one but your mind.
Exploring alone the world unknown-
You do not know what you might find.
Though you'd do best to have a friend
If you're to reach the journey's end.
Be night or day they'll guide your way
If some aid they're willing to lend.
You never know when you might fall.
Alone, there's none to hear your call.
But a good friend's hand can help you stand
And then, indeed, you will stand tall.
Though you must face the world ahead,
If you've a friend, you need not dread-
Together you two will make it through,
Safe and sound to home and bed.
NEW POEM - October 3, 2012
Step into my fantasy world:
Leave your life behind.
Explore this amazing country
That no one else can find.
Wander the vast Blue Forest
Where mountains are dwarfed by trees.
Stand alone and feel your hair
Blown by magic breeze.
See the beautiful glowing flowers
Attract such insects swarms.
Go ahead and pick one -
They are very warm.
Go and wander the deepest caves
Where the Singing Gems are found,
But be wary of the creatures
That dwell beneath the ground.
Explore the Temple of Eternal Light,
Where Shadows don't exist.
Travel south into the mountains
Shrouded by the mist.
Gaze at cities beneath the ocean,
Find mazes under rock.
Know that certain stones are living,
So be careful where you walk.
Explore it all, even places
That birds have never flown.
Perhaps you can forget that you
Are traveling alone.
