I've finally seen the first episode.
For the first time in months, I actually felt...touched. The ASCII Artist creating the Densha Otoko image nearly drew a tear. Either I'm weaker than I thought, or this is the greatest J-drama ever.
EDIT (March 15, 2006): I just finished this series not long ago...it's absolutely bitchin'. I would have coffee with everyone from that forum. All of them. Even the jock.
