Dear Mr. Great Pumpkin the Round and Orange,

Halloween is quickly approaching, as I'm sure you're aware. Undoubtedly, it is the best of holidays, full of cheer, fun, the occasional murder, and celebrations with the family (especially the young and impressionable ones!). I especially enjoy carving the flesh of your gourdly enemies and stealing candy wrappers from the selfish trash bags, but alas, I feel this year will not bring such good tidings.

You see, every few months before the holiday, I would go around and gather little wishlings I felt were appropriate -- werewolves, vampires, and the like (it was necessary I do this for I have none of my own). I went about this with a very elaborate trap consisting of a box, a stick, a string, and some food, but the little wishes have been getting smarter every time (why, just last year I was only able to catch a zombie and a piece of ham!) and I am running out of dead baby frogs to lure them with!

I must stress this -- it is absolutely necessary that I have at least one halloweenie with me (who else carry my candy for me while I decorate the street with used toilet paper?), and I was hoping you could take advantage of your delicious BO to lure one for my sake. I am hoping for one of those vampires with the fancy capes (if you tie the ends like so, it makes a bag that fits nicely on their back!) with muted colors (I've no doubt we'll be doing a lot of hiding-from-blunt-objects-and-pointy-things from unappreciative people during the time), brilliant eyes to stand out from its pelt, and perhaps a little blood and skeletal-like markings on it to frighten some of our aforementioned potential harassers away.

I dearly hope you'll be able to help me.

Yours always,
Ryuukishin

Dear Great Pumpkin,

I write to you today, wondering if you could help me out. Last year for Halloween, my dragon Hermes, requested that I take her son, Nazrio, out to participate in the human ritual we call trick or treating. I was curious as to why, and she said that he had wanted to try it for himself. So after he dressed up in his chosen costume, which was the dragon called Toothless, (he never was the creative type, I'm afraid) and I had given him a warning about eating all his candy before he got it home, we set out to raid every place we could find for sweets.

After a long night spent being called adorable when he growled, being given ample praise for his 'cute' costume, and collecting enough sugary sweets to feed a small island nation, Naz turned to me and asked, "Isn't Halloween supposed to be a night of scary things to? I haven't seen anything that's scared me tonight."

To which I airily replied, "You don't go looking for scary things, Naz. Scary things just have a way of finding you."

Then, as Naz opened his mouth to make a retort, a ghostly orange specter jumped out of a nearby Jack-o-Lantern. Naz promptly responded to the surprise by jumping ten feet straight up into the air.... and staying there. I was shocked to say the very least, as Nazrio had been wholly unsuccessful in all attempts at flight prior to that very moment. After I pointed out what he was now doing, Nazrio promptly flopped back onto the ground. After much convincing, I was able get him to do it again, and so, my precious Naz finally learned how to fly thanks to the ghost in the Lantern. Sadly, before I could thank the ghost properly it had fled into the night. I didn't even get a good look at it's face.

This is where I'd like to ask you for your help. I would like to see that specter again, so that I might thank them properly. Sadly, I do not have much of a description to give you. It was orange, most definitely a ghost, and seemed to have a thing for hiding in Jack-o-Lanterns. If you could help me find it again, I would be most grateful to you, oh Great Pumpkin.

With Warmest Regards,
Malomy

To the Greatest of Pumpkins,

Here it is, that wonderful time of year again! I must say, Halloween is by far my favorite time, with the fall colors and the candy and all the spooky shenanigans that go on! My one little wish, Rave, and I just love to dress up! I'm going to be a vampire bunny this year, and she wants to be a Powerpuff girl! Well, she wanted to be a clown but I really don't want to be traumatized by my own wish. ~_~

Anywho.

I regret to say that as Rave is my only, I do not have the pleasure of looking after a halloweenie. Rumor has it that you might be able to help me with that? If you happen to know of a wish in need of a home, especially a Werewolf type, it would be so great if you could send it my way! Colorings do not matter, though wouldn't it be cute to find a black one with a calico cape and mask? <3 I would love to have another wish to celebrate such fun times with~

Now, while I'd love to write to you more about all Rave's little misadventures, the smoke from my kitchen suggests she's at it again. Cross your stems that those cookies aren't TOTALLY black?

All the best,
Lux_rayne13

ps. Ok, so, ghost cookies are now cut into bats. At least I save money on the food coloring... '~_~

Dear Great Pumpkin,

Halloween is nearing and for the past two years I have been giving candy at the door rather than trick or treating. I have a great love of wolves, but there were no werewolf costumes at the store and my mother was too busy to help me make a costume for this year.

I am currently looking after no wishes at all, and I would love to go out trick or treating this year with someone. All my friends are usually too busy with their Halloween plans. I would love for a new friend to spend time with me.

Have a great Halloween,
Riffler

Dear Great pumpkin,

Thankyou again for bringing my Crimson a back in 2010. He has been a wonderful companion and he plays nicely with the other wishes in my den, well, all except the the vampires of course. They fight and they howl and they make a big mess whenever they get near each other. Khai in stays away, and roseanna tries to kill him on the best of days, and Amethyst spends her time, trying to find just which mushroom is best for making the wearewolves vanish. Perhaps it might be best to have a new vampire enter the nest so that the old have a new distraction and will leave the poor were wolves alone.

Please bring a wish that loves bats, and is not afraid to stand out in a crowd. Please pick one that is friendly, and likes to be on time. He doesn't have to like ghosts, cheese or even toast, as long as he keep the destruction away this Halloween.

Thankyou for your time,
Panther

Greetings, oh wondrous Great Pumpkin!

Did you receive my letter last year?

It seems me beloved little Artymus ran out on me, and I'm left all by my lonesome self this Hallow's Eve. It seems he's moved on to better pastures, seeking some new soul to haunt. Or is it because I never brought him a friend that could yowl and moan with him?

At first I was quite glad, not having to be woken up every other night to his pitiful howling, but now, it seems quite too quiet and lonely. Why, sometimes, I even imagine hearing his voice again, only to wake up and find out that I forgot to fully close my window again. Oh how I miss him so.

If you find it in your heart, O Great Pumpkin, would you mind bringing me another friend to spend Hallow's Eve with? I quite miss my little ghoul, and his ghostly eyes had always enchanted me in some way, so maybe another ghosty just like him?

Being the little scaredy cat I am, blood and gore terrifies me, and see-through organs, oh dear! Perhaps something a little more pleasant, such as... oh, I don't know, some kind of confectionery delight? I have developed quite the sweet tooth this year, and one of my absolute favourite treats is strawberry cheesecake. Have you tried any yet, Great Pumpkin?

If not, please drop by! I shall leave a piece by the door for you!

Faithfully yours,
AV.

Dear Great Pumpkin!

I think this is the second letter I wrote to you...or third. Anyway, the first one you never responded. So this is in hopes you might respond this year.

I'm going to my very first haunted house this year. Even though I'm 20, I don't like to be scared all that much. But you only live once right? So on ward! Wish me luck that the weather isn't that bad when I go.

Halloween day isn't all going to be exciting I'm afraid. With the weather and all no one is going to be out celebrating. I plan to watch some scary movie and eat all the candy all by myself, but what's the fun in that? It's great to share some moments with somebody.

Did I tell you I'm obsess with zombies this year? Yeah. It all started with a game, book, and now it's everything with to me. It's how I meet my boyfriend, made new friends, made the bond with my best friends even stronger. So zombies are everything to me.

But why do zombies have to be in dark, grey-ish shades? Why can't they be colorful looking? Like when you see some pumpkins with purple color to them. And you know when pumpkins become jack o lanterns they have also have pretty designs? I was wondering if you know any zombies with awesome tattoos or designs with them. I never see them before.

Hope, where ever you are, that your halloween is awesome this year.

Your Nerdy Fan,
Chibi_Kokoro143

P.S. Happy O'Hallows Eve

Dear Great Pumpkin,

List is the first letter i have written to you. I am sitting in a pumpkin patch as i write this in hope you hear my wishes.

Every year the colors change to beautiful shade of re orange and yellow, with just the smallest hints of green. This is how i know it is time for your coming. I just love to watch the leaves fall form the trees. But as the leaves fall i watch the pumpkins grow bigger. It crazy really as the things around the pumpkin patch dye the pumpkins grow stronger. The vines of the pumpkin patch reminds me of beautiful filigree the way it swirls and turns.

Anywho its getting very chilly in the air outside. It make me think of the cold of a vampires skin and the stone i am sit on is strong like a vampire too. Vampire are so elegant though with there old world clothing, don't you think? The way the world changes is a wonderful thing for sure.

Well the wind has pick up outside to night so i mush go inside. I will leave this letter her in my pumpkin patch under my favorite pumpkin (the smallness one in the patch); for you to find. Thank you for listening.

Always treating,
Jordahn19
