Bio: Scarlet has always been a troublemaker. As a child she was a pickpocket on the bad side of town, making her money through trickery and cunning. One day as she was scavenging for food, she came across a book of magic tricks someone had left in the trash. Curious, she took it with her and began practicing with a deck of cards she had stolen years back.
To her joy, she found her quick wits and deft hands were perfect for doing magic tricks. She quickly became a master, performing on street corners and in alleyways, to make money on the side.
Then the Dark Carnival came into town. The Ringmaster got word of a new act in town and paid her a visit. She showed the Ringmaster some of the magic tricks she learned and was offered a part in the circus on the spot. She happily accepted, becoming even better and more diverse with her magic tricks as she quickly became one of the more popular acts in the Dark Carnival. (Although just for the thrill of it she would sometimes still pickpocket.)
The catch was the secret behind the Dark Carnival: All of the performers were fed human souls, in order to enhance their abilities. Eventually the performers would turn into kishin eggs meaning the Dark Canrival needed constant replacements. It was only a matter of time before Scarlet began to turn. Of course, the Dark Carnival didn't want its secret being made known. They routinely killed any performer who turned and Scarlet was no exception. Until she escaped. Her wits and dexterity saved her life, helping her to outwit and escape the Ringmaster of the Dark Carnival.
In the outer world her skills served her well once again and she grew ever stronger as a kishin egg. Once again it was only a matter of time until she consumed enough souls to become a fully fledged kishin, one of the few kishin eggs to ever have done so. Her love of magic tricks and riddles defined her powers and she was more than happy to join up with the last clown kishin, remembering her days in the Dark Carnival.
Abilities/Powers:
+ Dead Man's Hand: Two 8-shooter revolvers and two double-barreled shotguns appear around Scarlet, fully loaded with madness-infused bullets (all the guns are made of black-ivory inlaid with gold like in her pic)
+ Snake Eyes: Two lances of pure madness shoot forward from her hands, impaling her enemies
+ Black Jack: Hundreds of blades shaped like thin, black aces swirl around Scarlet, cutting away anyone and anything that gets too close.
+ Jackpot: Scarlet fires a single shot from her gun, Trixie, that causes a massive explosion of pure madness on impact.
