 Cale was out walking in an area she had never seen before, not that she ever traveled very far from her home. The trees here were 3 feet wide, the floor spongey with years of laid down wood debris. It was a pleasure to walk here. Quiet except for the odd squirrel and harp toad. Which was odd because the toads were loath to travel very far from water usually. She sighed and was content to be surrounded by all the little questions and curiosities of the natural world. She looked up and saw a dark hide with green patterns half hidden behind one of the great matriarchs of the forest. Well this new appearance generated lots of questions and curiousities. Who was this, what were they doing here? Did they enjoy nature too? Or were they just passing through?
"Hello, my name is Calemiral, daughter of Daria the Fallen and Kukai."

 Omari startled at the sound of another Azrein. He had been studying the calls of the harp toads in an attempt to understand them. Why this might be useful was anyone's guess, but knowledge for the sake of having knowledge was a firm belief of Omari's. "Hello there, um... Calem.... Calmira you said?" he replied with a distracted air. The harp toad Omari had been studying gave him a dirty look for interrupting the toad's song, and hopped off without a backwards glance, taking a few other toads with it. With a sigh, Omari looked up, and studied the Azrein before him. With a glance to the slight figure, he summed up that she was female. Based on previous experiences, he knew that he had to tread carefully, for females were often trickier to deal with than, say, a harp toad. "My name is Omari. How are you today?" There, that should be a safe enough topic, he thought to himself.

"Hello Omari," She smirked slightly at the highly offended harp toad. "I am well, enjoying this lovely forest, pray tell what did I interrupt?" She couldn't keep the devilish smile off her face. "You may call me Calmira if you like, most people call me Cale because my true name is somewhat awkward on the tongue...and long." Cale took a good look at this male. How interesting, those green markings seem to stand off his hide in a bright show. He was overly handsome altogether. She did pick up on the distracted air, but chose not to comment on that. He had obviously been concentrating.

"Kale, like the leafy plant? Yesyes, and your hide is much the same color as Kale. An earthy green and white blend. The best shade of green for photosynthesis, might I add. You'd do quite well as a plant, you know...." Omari refocused on the mare, realizing what he had been saying. While he thought it was admirable that she would do a fine job in turning carbon dioxide and sunlight into oxygen, it was doubtful that Cale would understand this. It was rare that a female understood what Omari was saying. For that matter, he found it rare that anyone understood very much. He would have to concentrate on focusing on his social manners, it seemed.
"My apologies, I mean to say, you look very lovely among the forestry. As it is green, and.... and such...." He tried to focus on a different topic, one that hopefully wouldn't offend the mare. "Ahh, what I was doing? I was studying the harp toads in hopes of understanding their notes. If we could understand what they were saying, it might be possible to replicate them for our own purposes. Especially out in the field. You know, a warning call, or a call to alert an ally of one's hidden position. Such things as that. And honestly, I just like to listen to them." Omari smiled, and listened to a particularly melodic grunt of a toad a few trees away.

"Pity I don't have any chlorophyll with me today hey?" She giggled at the look on his face. "Thank you for the compliment Omari, you yourself look like a shade plant. say Solomon's Seal?"
She tilted her head at his idea. "You know that is very clever as it would mask our intents from the enemy, and indeed the frogs themselves could alert us to approaching cavalry. What other interesting ideas do you have?"
As she was talking one of the big feather headed pythons dropped from a tree limb and slowly lowered itself onto her back. She glanced back, determined it wasn't hungry enough to eat her and proceeded to ignore the big snake. It slithered off her and went in search of some of the singing harp toads.
"Did you know all the toads that sing are male? Unless of course you happen to step on a female, that is one of the few times she will ever make a noise.Evidently keeping quiet is an evolutionary perk as that snake is hunting your frogs."

Omari blinked in surprise. Either Cale had understood his intentions, or she was very good at dissembling. Though, she knew about chlorophyll, which led Omari to believe the former. And she had even given him a wonderful compliment in return.
