USER
Name: Linus Todor
Age: 28
Class: Warrior (Sword/lance wielder)

Magic Affinity: Rally - Linus can boost the morale of his comrades in battle. It only applies to his comrades, namely people who like Linus. If someone has negative feelings about Linus, the rallying effect will not work on them even if they are on the same side of the battle. The rallying effect only lasts for ten minutes or so, depending on how exhausted Linus is.

Appearance: Linus stands at about 6'2 with coppery red hair and bright green eyes. He has a full stubbled beard, which he keeps as neatly trimmed as possible, though it makes him look older than he really is. He has wrinkles at the corners of his mouth and eyes from his constant smiling and laughing. Like any stereotypical warrior, he is strapping and broad-shouldered man, with many nicks and scars across his body from battles. He has the beginnings of a rotund stomach due to his love of drinking, much to his dismay.

Personality: Linus is the typical battle-loving and reckless warrior, often charging headfirst into battle without any sort of planning, much to the chagrin of his fellow warriors. He is an accomplished warrior though, which may be why he is so impulsive in his decisions. He is a good natured fellow, who is unusually patient with people. When Linus does lose his patience and gets angry, he usually leaves immediately to cool off, since he hates the negative feelings linger from being angry. When he has calmed down, he will forgive and forget, and start anew with the offender. As accomplished as he is, Linus is very tactless and oblivious when it comes to the finer things. He cannot keep secrets all that well, and unable tell if one of his comrades is trying to woo a lady, among other things.

Even with this loud and booming personality, Linus is also very devout Sphereist, especially devoted to Doth and Hothern, though he does go out of his way to give offering and thanks to the other four gods as well. He has a talisman made of bronze around his neck of the war god. Before he embarks on battles, he makes sure to give thanks to Doth, and finds himself unable to leave until he does so.

History:
Linus was the third born son of the Todor family, a family made up predominately of warriors. His father was a well-respected warrior, who now spends his time dabbling in artistry. His mother was a scout, now working as an alchemist. Linus has an older brother, Lucas, who is a warrior, and an older sister, Lianth, an alchemist, two younger twin brothers, Louis and Lloyd, both scholars, and a younger sister, Laura, who is training to become a warrior. Because of the size of his family, there wasn't much pressure put on them as children to be warriors, because his parents figured that one of their children would at least attempt to follow in their footsteps.

wow this family is huge
when he is not fighting; teaches young children to be warriors

GUARDIAN
Name: Shamash (The god of the Sun and Justice in the Assyrian and Babylonian tradition)
Magic Affinity:
Forcefields - Shamash can create a small forcefield up to 4 feet in diameter to enclose him and one other person from harm. It is able to block blows for only two minutes at most, though it will most likely not last that long if it is constantly hit. The forcefield is not invincible, a few strong hits can shatter it, and every time it is hit, Shamash will receive half the damage of the blow.

Essence/Animal: Lapis Lazuli and Lamassu
Appearance: MINTY PHR3$$$$$$H
Personality: Silently proud and something about that ye Even with a human head, Shamash is incapable of talking. He most communicates with a series of mechanic clicking noises, though one wonders where it comes from because his mouth remains motionless.

The lamassu is an ancient deity from the Mesopotamian civilization, namely from the time of the Neo-Assyrian Empire (circa 900 BC-612 BC). The lamassu is a human headed winged bull or lion, elaborately decorated with ceremonial armor on its body, as well as a horned cap on his head, signifying it as a deity. They are also noted for their five legged appearance, two from the front, and four from the side to appear as if it is in motion. It is mostly known as a deity of protection, usually erected at the doorways of cities and palaces, some even found in front of the private quarters of the king. They were usually carved out of gypsum alabaster or limestone, since they were a durable type of stone. These are colossal statues, standing over 10 feet tall. Some of the most famous lamassu are shown on permanent display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris.

Lapis lazuli is a rare semi-precious stone that is found only in the Badakhshan Mountains in Afghanistan. It's blue color is caused by the mineral lazurite, which makes up 25 to 40% of the stone. It was called 'sapphire' by the ancient peoples, which is the name used today for the corundum minerals. Lapis has been prized since antiquity for its intense blue color, being made in to many kinds of accessories by the ancient peoples, and also because it can be polished extremely well. The ancient Mesopotamians used them for jewelry and their cylinder seals and the ancient Egyptians used them for brooches and for their scarab amulets.
