sucks and I'm not sure if it's a good thing or bad that 5 min after putting in an application i got a "sorry but no positions available for you" type e-mail. I've been searching on and off for work since 08 and have had a whole 1 callback and like 2 rejection e-mails out of who knows how many apps i've put it. Sometimes i think it would be nice if we had a futurama-esque system for being assigned a job we would be best at...without the whole hand spike thing.

They're desperately hiring at the McDonald's where I work. They keep putting signs up telling people to apply. It started with one on each door, and now they're at the drink station, on the tables, even on the drive-thru window. It's pathetic XD

It's pathetic XD If I were in the neighbourhood; and if I were interested in buying a McDonalds meal (which isn't much of a meal anyway): I'd probably notice the signs.

There were a lot of newly educated programmers looking for work; and programmers with at least 5 years of experience as professional programmers was one of the greatest demand on the market. It was sad how it looked like both those sides had been steadily growing for a few years.

So i got a call back for an "over the phone" interview for Tuesday at 9am, Oddly enough its from Target who were the only ones to ever call be back also for seasonal work but last time it was a face to face one. I hope it goes well and i get it since not having any job history beyond mowing my neighbors lawn is a real hindrance.
