"Feeling any better Matt?" Valerie asked. Despite normal sibling rivalries, Valerie was actually rather caring of her brother, especially when he was working so hard on the new songs for the band. She pulled up a chair next to his bedside and smiled softly, ruffling his hair ever so lightly. "You should learn to take a break more often. The songs can wait. Your health can't."

Meanwhile, Catalina was busy in her own room, practicing on her drum set. Her father wasn't home right now, staying late at work due to a meeting, so she had the house to herself to practice. When she finished, she kept a hold of her drumsticks while going to the kitchen, popping some leftovers into the microwave. Continuous tapping of drumsticks against the counter filled in the microwave's nearly silent process until the food was ready.
