Guys, I want to draw my grandfather a card, but my art style tends to either patently silly fanart or morbid ink sketches.

Can anyone think of a suitable subject material or a less blunt way of saying: “I understand you’re dying, I hope you don’t suffer unduly as you go.” The problem really is that I view death as a rest, and I know my aunts do not, but all I want to do is play the old man a lullaby.
