I have been kind of drowning in a lack of funds to make it to the end of the month without relying completely on the help of others. I've had such a hard time financially since my Husband left us. This month has been exceptionally hard with having to put out so much money to be in my best friend's wedding. I hadn't been praying about it really and just kinda letting it go out of my mind. I had a bit of a break down in emotions over everything about the finances. I prayed about it then and haven't really been stumbling over it since.
I ran into my daughter's daycare provider at the store yesterday (since Riley has been in school she hasn't really been there) and she told me she was gonna call me the next day because she had a surprise for me and how blessed she has been by me and all that's been happening. Well, every day I get K-Love's encouraging word of the day in an email and this was the scripture:
Luke 6:38 (NLT)
Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
So today she called me to meet up with her and guess what she had for me? She gave me a small amount of money and it works out perfectly to pay for all the things I still need to do for the wedding. God is amazing in how he helps us! I am so thankful for this! I am so close to tears! I felt like sharing this praise to God! I pray blessings on every woman in this guild's life!
