( MARIE ✧ RIO ✧ LOPEZ ) If I were the rain that bind together the earth and sky, who in all eternity will never mingle, would I be able to bind the hearts of people together?
Opening her eyes again, she sat up, it was dark. No. Too dark. She shook her head with something like a light chuckle escaping her lips, but it was to help her make sure she was still slightly sane as she stood and dried herself off before changing again. Standing on one of the large rocks, she saw a plant sprouting pineapples. She didn't notice that when she first came here as she frowned before reaching to grab a couple to take back to camp, mainly because she wanted to see if they had any back there and if they didn't, well, they did now as she giggled, humming to herself. That was until she heard a low growl, her hand brought back to the bunch she was already carrying as she took a step off the rock, slipping slightly. Her eyes darted side to side as she tried to figure a way out of this before focusing back on the place where the growl had come from. Taking a small step back, she noticed that admist the darkness in which the growl had coe from, was a pair f eyes. Entirely red as she bit her lip. She wasn't going to cry out. No, that'd make her weak. Marie wasn't weak. She was never such as thing as she soon turned on her heel sharply, sending a short but painful pain shooting up her leg. Almost letting it give in as she started to run back to camp. Her mind had blanked out as she could see people. The others. They were still there as she clutched onto the pineapples for dear life, practically. Her eyes darted around as she came out of the small forest, panting from her sudden breakthrough of running. She could see people with weapons, others setting traps and others walking around bored. With a sigh, she had a soft smile on her face. She could treat it all like it was a dream. But that happy expression vanished soon after she remembered them red eyes. The very things were imprinted in her mind, carved in there like a wood carving in wood, it would remain forever as she bit her lip. Closing her eyes tight before trying to hide the fact that she'd had a close encounter as she approached Chizuru and placed the pineapples nearby the little 'kitchen' area that she had as she giggled before standing up straight again and looking around. Her mind still clouded as she wandered towards her little tent, where she now slept as she rumaged about inside before finding what she was looking for.
Her ocarina. One she'd made using bark, not that it was the best but it was as good as she was going to get as she sighed with some relief. It was still together and in one piece as she softly smiled at it before playing the tune that remained in her mind ever since she left that lake, it was known as the 'Song of Healing'. It was off a game that she remembered one of her cousins paying in the past. A sweet melody that calmed the soul as she took a deep breath before placing her mouth on the mouth piece and started to play. That sweet, nostalgic tune as it calmed her mind, let it stray from the thought of what had happened only a few seconds ago. She'd only play this song to do such things and the strange thing about this melody, is that it actually worked with the 'Healing' part, it soothed the soul of many in a way. She'd always smile whilst playing it as she soon brought it to a stop, placing it down on the sand as she sat there, hugging her knees whilst looking off into the distance, rumaging her thoughts again. Did the thing follow her? That was the main question as she kept a some what expressionless mask for her face as she lightly closed her eyes.
o.o.c. Finally posted it = w =

Chizuru Kasuga Nee nani shite mo kimi ni aitaku naru you Suki ni naru tte kurushiin da ne
Chizuru chopped away happily, keeping her eyes down on the makeshift counter. The 'kitchen' wasn't bad at all; with a little help from the others, they put together a counter from driftwood and such, and someone even made a knife. Just a few personal touches after that, and the 'kitchen' felt more like her home. Having a kitchen right next to the beach wasn't so bad after all. The only problem was the food. Animals were sparse around their camping area; they were able to trap a rabbit or two and cook it, but their main sustenance was fruit. Fruit grew all over the place, which was a good thing. At least the pirates were kind enough to ship them onto an island with available resources. She heard soft footsteps approach then leave quickly. She looked up just in time to see Marie retreat into her tent. "Marie-chan?" She glanced down to see a bunch of pineapples that weren't with the rest.
"Arrigato!" Chizuru called out while picking them up and placing them underneath the counter. She caught a glimpse of their food and stopped. They were low. She bit her lip and stood up, staring down at the counter. She started a stew not too long ago; it had to boil for a little more, giving her enough time to go out in the forest and search for some more fruit. She finally noticed that it was dark. Biting her lip in concentration, she began to weigh her options. Go out in the forest now, or wait til morning. If she waited, they wouldn't be able to eat breakfast.... She dusted her hands and made her way to the forest.

"Le coeur est un chasseur solitaire..."
"You're a nurse, right? Do you have any knowledge about certain poisons and things like that? I could put it on the traps. It'll slow them down if it doesn't kill them." It sounded like a good plan to him at least. He didn't know what it would take to kill those bêtes, but poison could slow them down. He heard Raphael's question and looked at him. "Once I'm done making the traps, you can help me set them up around the camp. And I think we should place them near the forest too, since they might come from there." Noel shrugged, coming up with certain places around their border in his mind. It didn't seem half bad at all, and if the traps went off, they'd be prepared with their weapons.
"...Mais le cœur n'est qu'un outil."

Zowie nodded. The poison idea was definetly a good one, even though it mightn't be effective in killing any of the monsters. But it would slow down some of them if they happened to stray from the cave, and that was good. To have a first line of defense would help them all sleep at least a little better at night, and she knew she would be extremely comforted by any snares that Noel could set up. Despite this, Zowie hesitated slightly. "Yeah, I do know how... but I don't exactly specialise in harvesting it from the wild. Sometimes it can be kind of risky...but I'll do it."
The main types of poison that can be found in the wild either come from plants or animals. Usually the plant poisons were weaker, although trying to get animal poison was harder and a whole lot more dangerous, considering the animals were, well, poisonous. "Do you want plant or animal poison?" she asked Noel more confidently, before turning to Raphael. She bent down and whispered in his ear, not wanting what she was about to say to influence Noels decision about which poison he wanted. "If he picks plants you can help me get it, if you want." She said with a smile.

Placing the ocarina down, she noticed Chizuru making her way off to the forest as she stood up. She decided to go with her. She really didn't want to be alone right now as she stood up and rushed after her. She seemed troubled as she came up behind her before speaking. "Ummm...Chizuru...Can I...come...with you?" She asked, wondering if she was saying it right at all, as she blinked wildly at her. Looking at her nervously and giggling slightly. She could always carrying more back if needed, afterall, two was better than one in her opnion as she tilted her head to the side and giggled.

Raphael Lopez Raphael blushed and noded. He adored her looks and her voice, it almost remind him of his sister and mother. "Z..Zowie..Thank you for helping us out and such. he said in a childish tone, trying to show his handsome yet charming personality. He didn't want her to think of his as a child, but more of a small independent young man. Seeing form the fact he's only thirteen. Raphael was just thinking about if he and the other survived and got off of this island, he would have the confidence to say how he felt about her. However, coming back to reality, he was more worried about him and his sister's lives at stake.
