Who: Zurine, Isobel Where: A little corner art store When: Mid-afternoon (3:30-4PM) on Friday Weather: Warm and windy; the skies are a little cloudy. Rain imminent?
--
Since Phiel hadn't protested too much when she had insisted on going out to the art store -- it wasn't far from the bakery where she often visited Rhedefre and Vivi and Shepard -- Zurine had gone alone. It wasn't as if she was without her defenses, and though people looked oddly at her for wearing a windbreaker in the September sunshine, they mostly left her alone. She had dispensation to buy what she wanted, within reason, Phiel had said, and a fancy new set of watercolors were calling her name. Maybe the kind in tubes would be nice this time!
There was a bell that chimed above her head when she floated in through the door, and the shop-girl greeted her softly, though the woman didn't look up from the shelf of canvases she was stocking, a neat pile of clean white things that the store stretched and nailed themselves, so they could afford to sell them at a good price. Maybe a real canvas would be fun to paint on, too... she loved the thick, textured watercolor paper that Phiel had bought for her, but oh it would be neat to make something like that...
Browsing the cool store, Zurine was blissfully absentminded, getting her fill of the clean, good smells of paint, linseed oil, chalks, and paper.

Petite Kitsune Sorry this took so long OTL Please take your time responding! Finals are a pain D: It wasn’t easy keeping her Raevan’s attention away from wandering away from her when she went out with clients. It was worst when they went bridesmaids dress shopping with all the colorful dresses to catch Isobel’s eyes. Axel’s attention was divided and when her bride was having a fit with her entourage about what she liked and wanted and what they wanted, Axel had to be there to back her up. So, she had to come up with a way to keep her Raevan interested enough in something to stay in one place. Thus what prompt their little escapade to the art store in the hopes that something might just keep Isobel in place.
Picking a free day, Axel took Isobel with her to run some errands. They found a little corner art store near some other boutiques and went in. The bell rang lightly making Isobel look up briefly before floating in with Axel trailing behind her. This was the first time she was taking Isobel out to an art store, so she decided to just stand back and let Isobel do her own thing on her own. Moving away from her side, Axel went to look at some other things.
Isobel was tempted to follow Axel but ended up entering into one of the rows, her eyes were wandering all over the colors, but she had no idea what they were for even with Axel’s quick description of things she could do. Painting had sparked an interest in her, so maybe she should look into paint or something. Isobel however, had no idea what paint looked like and was still learning to read. Her eyes finally stopped on the back of another floating figure similar to herself.
Shy, as this was probably the first of her kind she was meeting without Axel’s help or knowledge, Isobel crouched and began floating back to Axel as fast as she could, excited to be meeting another Raevan. When she found her guardian, both her hands clamped onto Axel’s forearm and she began pulling. “Raevan! Raevan here! Blue, blue, blue, so much blue!” If there was one thing that Isobel had taken to learning easily was her colors, but from the look Axel was giving her, she had no idea what she was talking about. “Coooome.” Isobel continued to pull her guardian until they were at the beginning of the row and pointed.
“Oh.” It finally dawned on Axel what Isobel was trying to tell her. “Well don’t wait up on me silly, go meet her by yourself, you don’t always need me.” Gently, Axel pried Isobel’s hands off of her, gave her a soft push in the direction of the other Raevan and walked away.
Wrapping her shawl around her neck once, Isobel floated near the other Raevan until she finally stopped by her side. “Hellloo!” She beamed brightly to the other, not really sure where to go from here.

Tasinei I remember finals! @3@ You can take your time too~ And sorry if my post is short, I'm still getting back into the swing of RP~ Zurine was absently looking at two different packets of paintbrushes, thinking about them, when she heard the unfamiliar voice greeting her. She looked up, blinking her dark eyes owlishly, and focused on the stranger -- oh! Her expression brightened with delight. The stranger was like her, another raevan, and she fluffed up with excitement. "Ah! Ah, hello!" Oh, what a tale she'd have for Phiel! Clearly the art store was a wonderful place not just for her. "I've never met you before...!"
The brushes fell forgotten back onto the shelf as Zuri turned to face the brightly-colored newcomer with her sweetest smile. "You're so pretty... my name is Zurine. Who are you?" She dipped her daintiest little bow, more excited than usual. It was easier to be polite and cool when Phiel was around, but without her guardian to remind her of her manners, she found herself rather excited.
