Xeno: - shoved out - Wait, what did I do? I didn't scare anyone did? Did I?!
Tempo: -Slinks out, ears flicked back and tail low.-
Xeno: - freaking out - I didn't, did I? Why won't you tell me?! - pacing in nervous circles and accidentally bumps into Tempo - Oops.
Tempo: -Yelps and jump back, shakes a bit till he realizes it wasn't Melody.- O-oh...
Xeno: - pauses, considering - I-I didn't scare you, did I? I didn't mean it! I'm sorry. - draws her own conclusions -
Tempo: -Frowns- ...You aren't my sister....so you aren't that scary...
Xeno: - whimpers - Oh. Oh, I didn't scare you, then? - perks up, now extremely happy -
Tempo: -Shakes his head- No, didn't scare me...but you should watch where you are walking...maybe.
Xeno: Watch where I'm walking . . . maybe? - tilts head to side - How do I maybe watch where I'm walking?
Tempo: -Ducks his head a bit- I don't know....I...sorry
Xeno: - frowns and lowers head so that they are eye level - Why are you sorry? You shouldn't be sorry.
Tempo: W-well....I just..-Stops and clears his throat- I feel awkward.
Xeno: Oh, I'm sorry. - raises head and steps back - I really, really didn't mean to make you feel like that. Sorry - whispers, sort of sad -
Tempo: -Looks up a little flustered- It's....not your fault..-Shifts his weight a little.-
Xeno: - curious - But if it's not my fault, then who's fault is it?
Tempo: Mine. -Looks down at his paws-
Xeno: But how's it your fault that you're uncomfortable? - huffs, confused - It just can't be. - muddles this over in her head -
Tempo: My sister says it's always my fault....-Shifts-
Xeno: - snorts - But that doesn't make sense. Your sister's wrong.
Tempo: -Cocks head to the side, flicks an ear up- A-are you sure?
Xeno: - grins - Of course I'm sure. - mumbles - There are much scarier things than other noodles.
Tempo: -Cocks his head to the side- I haven't seen anything scary...that wasn't another noodle.
Xeno: - paused, shocked - You-you haven't? I don't think I've met a noodle that really scares me. So . . . who scared you?
Tempo: Alot of noodles scare me -Flicks ears back-
Xeno: Do I scare you?
Tempo: -Blinks and looks at her- No, you dont scare me.
Xeno: - grins widely. Most people are afraid of her-or her creatures - Really? Really really? You're not pulling my leg are you?
Tempo: -Swishes his tail a bit and smiles slightly- I wouldn't lie, I don't think it's right to lie to others.
Xeno: But-but if you're not afraid of /me/, then who on Earth are you afraid of?
Tempo: -Frowns- It's a long list....-Looks away-
Xeno: - comes closer - But why do they scare you? - Certainly nothing was scarier than her monsters, right? So why did they scare him so much? -
Tempo: W-well...appearences don't scare me....p-personalities are scary
Xeno: - she made a little oh with her mouth. But she didn't like the sound of that either, because who would want to scare Tempo - But Tempo! Who would be mean to you? - In her experience, she only scared people who deserved it, and Tempo wouldn't deserve anything. -
Tempo: -Shuffles his feet.- Mostly my sister...but there are alot of other people too...
Xeno: - recalls the name - Your sister? What kind of sister would scare their siblings? That's so mean! - growls, but realizes that her creatures might start forming and stops -
Tempo: Well she doesn't scare me, but I am scared of her...-Sighs- She's...very cruel.
Xeno: - hearing this, she only gets angrier and struggles to hold it back - So-so she hurts you?!
Tempo: -Looks a bit uncomfortable- S-some times....
Xeno: - growls, but tries not to let him see. Would that scare him? - That's just-that's just so . . . ! - can't even think of something appropriate
Tempo: -Winces slightly and wrinkles his nose- I-I suppose....
Xeno: But-but why would she do that to you? You're so /nice/~
Tempo: -Shakes his head- I don't know... -Curls his tail around his legs-
Xeno: So she just hurts you because she can? - restrains herself from doing something bad -
Tempo: I guess....do we have to talk about this?
Xeno: N-no. No, we don't. Actually, let's not. - breathes a sigh of relief. Thank god. -
Tempo: -Lets out a breath and looks back at her- So....I've never seen a noodle like you though
Xeno: - relieved - Um, I'm a spartan - is that what you meant? My daddy was one. Chamber. He doesn't talk much, but you tell his emotions when you touch him. He doesn't like being touched much either, though.
Tempo: Oh, Spartan....-Smiles slighty- He can project his emotions? I guess that's kind of like my mom's ability to see the future....all of my sisters can too but I can't -Frowns- I can teleport though, I get that from my dad.
Xeno: - shifts uncomfortably. She doesn't like where this is going. - Yeah, all of us can do stuff too. One of my sisters can make really high-pitched screams, and another one can sing very pretty. And one of my brothers can cause illusions and the other one can make himself unnoticeable. - avoids talking about herself -
Tempo: -Grins- Oh, well what can you do?
Xeno: - winces. Darn it, he noticed. How can she phrase this . . . ? - Oh, well I can bring my creations to life. Yeah.
Tempo: -Flicks his ears forward- Your creations..?
Xeno: - He's onto me! Oh, why does he want to know this so bad? - Uh. Uhhh~ My-my ideas!
Tempo: -Smiles- Well that seems like a really cool ability to have. -Seems a little concerned as to why she is so fidgity about her power-
Xeno: - sigh of relief. Who knows what he would do if he knew what a freak she was? He'd be afraid of her too. - Yeah, yeah it is. - doesn't mention any of the downsides, though and sees the look - Oh, I'm okay. I'm fine. Just. Fine. - nervous laugh -
Tempo: You seem a little upset...I'm not hurting you with my questions am I?
Xeno: Oh, no, no, it's fine. It's just, people treat me weird when they find out, so . . .
Tempo: -Smiles- You don't have to worry about that wth me, I won't ever treat you weird, Xeno.
Xeno: - stuttes - You-you promise? You won't judge me?
Tempo: -Beams at her, tail swishing happily- Of course not. You're my first friend, why would I judge you?
Xeno: - fidgets, but remembers that Tempo told her what she wanted to know despite that he was uncomfortable - Um, we-ell, I-I can make, you know . . . monsters. - winces, shying away -
Tempo: -Listens to her, not responding right away but just thinking- You know...there are different kind of monsters. Are they monsters like my sister? Or do you call them monsters because of their appearence?
Xeno: I guess because of their appearance, but . . . some of them are really mean . . . but I guess some of them aren't . . .
Tempo: Well appearance doesn't make someone a monster -Smiles weakly- I don't think that's a bad thing...
Xeno: - whimpers - But they're scary. I still don't know how to make them stop; Daddy used to make them go away, but I'm supposed to deal with it now and I still don't know how . . .
Tempo: You can't judge them by their looks, it's not fair to them. -Moves a little closer, thinks about giving her a hug before thinking better of it.-
Xeno: It's not all their looks . . . They used to scare my sister and I. They scare all of my friends off too.
Tempo: W-well I'm not going anywhere....I can try to help you over come your fear...if you want?
Xeno: - perks up hopefully - So-so you'll help me? And . . . maybe I can help you too?
Tempo: I'm not sure how you can help me, but I'm more than happy to help you -Nods his head-
Xeno: Because if you're not afraid of my monsters . . . you shouldn't be afraid of anything else either. - pauses - Does that sound bad?
Tempo: I'm not afraid of how some one looks, I'm afraid of how they act....-Sighs- It's okay if you don't understand.
Xeno: Well it's not exactly how they look . . . nevermind. You might have to wait awhile. Usually they pop up when I'm mad, or when I'm asleep.
Tempo: I'll be here don't worry -Smiles- Although I hope I don't make you angry
Xeno: You won't, although you're sister kind of makes me mad. - eyes the setting sun - Maybe I could go to sleep now . . . ? - searches for a comfortable spot. She just wants to get this over with. -
Tempo: -Watches her curiously- You can sleep whenever you want?
Xeno: Weeelll~ are you going to stay with me until then? Sometimes it takes awhile. I don't mean to, but the monsters pop up anyway. - settles under a tree -
Tempo: Of course...-Blushes slightly- Do y-you mind if I lay with you? I won't get to close...I promise.
Xeno: - smiles softly - Of course not. - serious - You don't have to worry, the monsters appear farther away, so you won't have to worry about them for a bit. - smiles again and pats the ground next to her - Come over here already.
Tempo: -Blushes a little more before going over to her slowly. He wasn't worried about the monsters at all at the moment.- Well alright. -Settles down next to her, tail curling over hers lightly-
Xeno: - blushes and lays across the grass, then peers up at him - Stay with me?
Tempo: Good . . . - murmurs, drifiting off to sleep and snuggles against him before falling asleep completely -
Xeno: -Slips into a light sleep, ears twitching every so often for the first sign of her creations-
Tempo: -Slips into a light sleep, ears twitching every so often for the first sign of her creations-
Xeno: - twitches awake and lifts her head tiredly to see Tempo fast asleep. She can't quite see it, but she can feel it coming. It doesn't feel too bad, but she can't remember what she dreamed about, leaving no clues for her to guess at it. She doesn't move so that Tempo might sleep, but burrows into his fur as she waits. The bushes behind them rustle and she peers cautiously over to see a noodle-sized bear-bat hybrid, it's eyes a ghostly shade of pale green, but it's body is slightly see-through and very thin. She peers at its hands to see it has long claws, and a pair of long teeth to match. She nuzzles Tempo furiously. - Tempo! TEMPO! Wake up. We have to move!
Tempo: -Wakes instantly at the nuzzles from the female, violet eyes snapping open with slight panic- X-xeno? Is everything okay...? -Blinks a little groggily, before catching sight of the bear-bat- O-oh... -He slowly got to his feet ears back but eyes on the creature.-
Xeno: Not really. - nudges him behind her and towards the trees on the other side of the clearing. - Maybe we can confuse it if we move, though. Oh, where's Daddy when I need him?!
Tempo: -Doesn't want to move and leave her there- Wait....Xeno. -Frowns and looks from her to the creature- Are you sure it wants to attack us?
Xeno: - peers curiously at the bear-bat-thing that is watching them closely, but doesn't like the sight of the claws and fangs and nudges him more insistently - I dunno, but I don't think it wants to have a picnic either. And maybe if we leave, it won't follow us and we'll live happy and successful lives without the bear-bat-thing. I think that sounds dandy, don't you?
Tempo: Well, if you never talk to it how do you know? -Frowns and tries to get closer to the animal.-
Xeno: Well, I dunno if they speak either . . . I've never had one that could speak English . . . Most of them just gurgle, or growl, or snarl . . . - takes a tentative step closer to the beast, being careful to stay on guard - Maybe this one might?
Tempo: -Looks from her to the creature, moves a little closer an flicks his ears up.- Hello?
Xeno: - Xeno could almost . . . feel its emotions. Just like Daddy? How odd . . . - Err, do you talk? - the bear seemed to take her in, and then make some sort of connection. She started waving around with his paws, his voice switching tempo, pitch and . . . language? She tilted her head to the side - Do you speak . . . English? If-if you do - could you tell me what you want?
Tempo: -Looks over at Xeno, excited that she seemed to be trying to talk to it too.- See, I don't think it wants to hurt us...
Xeno: I-I guess. I just wish I could understand it. - the bear, seeming to get frustrated, stomped its foot into the earth and growled, making Xeno take a frightened step back. It switched languages twice more before it settled on English, and Xeno sighed in relief - Bear: Finally! Your infernal languages - it muttered a few unkind words under its breath - They're impossible to keep up with! Now, would you be so kind as to make me real? It's infuriating being trapped in between. Do it. Now. - Xeno couldn't say much to that and stumbled backward hastily. She didn't know how to make her half-creations real. She didn't want to know how mad it would be when it found out. -
Tempo: -Frowns as he listens to the bear talk, and looks back at Xeno. He took her hasty steps backwards as a sign that she had no idea how to do what the bear wanted.- Look, just calm down....I-I don't think she knows hoe to do what you're asking. I'm s-sure we could figure it out though if you give us a moment... -He tried to keep the stuttering down and to keep his body from shaking.-
Xeno: - nervously flattens her ears, unsure about how it will react - Bear: Well, that is unfortunate. I'd suggest learning how to soon, though. I'm not very patient, and I'm not leaving until you do. - Xeno starts to think about it - Well, well maybe if I tried to - gives a frustrated sigh, not sure if it would work. - to focus it on you, maybe it would work? - the bear only raises an eyebrow in response, as if daring her to try - Yes, maybe . . . - stares fixedly at the bear for a moment, straining her creation energy on the bear. She can feel the ability fizzle out the first time. She tried a second, but felt no change. She sighed in frustration and went back for a third . . .-
Tempo: -Moves closer to her, his shoulder rubbing against hers.- Take a deep breath, don't try so hard. -His voice was soft but encouraging, he didn't want her to accidently hurt herself from trying to hard - after all he had kind of forced her to comminucate with the bear in the first place.-
Xeno: - does as he asks, sitting down and taking a second to relax before trying again. She focused in on his appearance and tried to give it color and structure, but it felt like she was trying to make a double. It wasn't right. She repeated the process and tried to push it just a little harder. She could see the edges solidifying, the color going from white to a deep yellow. - I think-I think it's working. - keeps focusing on how she imagined it would look, watching the bear go from a sketch to a solid form slowly -
Tempo: -Smiles slightly and sits next to her, careful to keep his shoulder against hers sort of like a reminder that he was there to support her.- He's becoming more solid now...Xeno you're doing it!
Xeno: - nods but doesn't say much, afraid that it might break her concentration. The bear was almost finished, just a little more . . . and he finally was complete. With an exhausted groan, she flopped onto the ground and lay her head on her paws. The bear smiled widely and bowed to his creator - Thank you for completing me. I'll go now, however take this as a token of my thanks. - he dropped a locket he seemed to have picked up while stumbling to find them and then, with a last grin their way, headed out to the woods. - Thank you . . . for the help, Tempo. - murmur -
Tempo: -Nods to the bear and noses Xeno's head slightly- You're welcome, you did a wonderful job. -Settles down next to her, tail curling onto hers.- You must be tired now...I'm sorry that took a lot out of you.
Xeno: It's-it's okay. I'll be fine in a second. I've never created something that big before. Usually just little things, like living toys . . . - trails off, leaning against his side - But I'm glad. This was good. Maybe that's what they wanted the whole time, so then if I just do this to all of them, then they'll leave me alone? - smiles tiredly -
Tempo: Maybe...-Cuddles against her- You should rest a bit, you don't look so good. -Looks a little worried.-
Xeno: - yawns - May-maybe that's a good idea. - mumbling, then laughs - But that was great. I've never been able to do that before. - snuggles up to him and yawns again - 'Night . . .
Tempo: -Smiles and curls around her, laying his head on his paws.- I'll stay here with you, sleep well. -Closes his eyes-
