As soon as Lemiah stepped through the Seireitei side of the gate he felt as if his body was being pulled through a tunnel of air at an incredible speed. Before he could blink there was a bright light at the end of the tunnel and shortly after he meet a building wall head on. The gate vanished shortly after and then Lemiah fell backwards onto the ground. "Owwie... Taichou let's warp in a little further from the wall next time." Lemiah said only slightly annoyed as he stood up dusting off his pants and shirt. In his gigai, Lemiah looked about the age of a high-schooler wearing blue jeans, a white and orange baseball type shirt, and sneakers. "Everything here feels so big and small at the same time. Big as in vast while at the same time small and cramped. I don't think I could ever get use to this... Anyways where should we head to Sempai?" Lemiah wondered which one of the shops he wanted to visit first in search of the parts he needed for his invention and of course he wanted to see the 'manga' thing his Captain was looking for as well.

"I'm going to take a look around town a bit. I might find something familar. I need to find some supplies for my new invention. I can't wait to show you when it's done. I'll catch up to you later then." Lemiah smiled then dashed off in a random direction. He didn't know the layout of the town, but he could still sense his Captain as long as he didn't stray too far away. Lemiah come up to a shop and started looking at the objects the vender had for sale. Some looked like they might work, but nothing was exactly what he needed. "...no that won't do. I need a round piece of glass about this thick and this wide...and a circular looking thing with metal on the bottom." Lemiah tried his best to explain the physical appearance of the lightbulb and lens cover he was searching for, but the shopkeeper shook his head and pointed to another vender across the way. Lemiah sighed and explained again to the other vender what he was looking for. After four carts Lemiah finally found a round piece of tinted glass and a 30-watt light bulb that would complete his invention. He carefully stored the items in his pockets then suddenly his stomach started to growl reminding him or the third thing he was seeking.

A westerner's desert called twinkies made of sweet golden pastries with white cream in the middle. Lemiah was surprised to find some at one of the food venders, who explained they lived in another town for quite sometime before coming here to sell food and deserts from their homeland. Lemiah felt a bit nostalgic as he finished his snack then he looked up at the sky for a moment wondering what he should do next. On his way towards the center of town Lemiah heard some loud noises followed by the laughter of children coming from a building nearby. Curiosity took over him as he wandered over and peeked inside. The building was a large videogame arcade and before he realized it Lemiah was subconsciously being pulled inside. Lemiah ran his hand over the controls of one of the machines and then suddenly he heard a voice in his mind "Come on Lee! You can do it." and then another voice said "Lee don't give up. Go for the kill!"

As the voices faded Lemiah stared at the screen a moment before he decided to give the game a try. His left hand rested on the navigation controller while his right hovered over three round buttons that determined if the character attacked, blocked, or did special move. The game seemed to draw Lemiah in as he lost all awareness of the surroundings and turned his attention towards winning the fight against his pixelated opponent. "I remember this. Phoenix Rush - A A B A Up Right Down A." Lemiah thought to himself as he rapidly pressed the buttons and then his character did a quick uppercut move while his fist was covered with flames causing instant knock out of the opponent character. "I did it!" Lemiah said turning around to find no one watching him. "Strange I thought I heard someone. I should search for Taichou soon. It would be bad if I got left here." Lemiah thought to himself as he lifted his hands off the game controls then he left the arcade exiting back into the streets.

Lemiah felt a little bit dizzy after his experience at the arcade, but it did inspire him a bit. He knew for sure what his invention would do now. He would make a battle simulator to help strengthen his squadmates and allies. With the parts he bought in the square he would be able to finish it at last. He wondered if his Taichou would be willing to try it out after the construction was complete. Lemiah wandered lost in thought until he heard a man address him asking if he needed help finding something. Lemiah looked a bit startled, but then he remembered he was wearing a gigai now so normal people could see him unlike his regular patrols of the town. "You surprised me a bit. I was looking for parts for my newest invention and I think I found what I needed in the square. I'm going to make a Battle Simulator. Once it's finished there will be big monsters you get to beat up. I can't wait to try it..." Lemiah drifted into a dream like state of mind for a few moments while he though of his completed invention working. "Ah sorry to drift off for a bit. My name is Lemiah, I'm an inventor of sorts I guess you would say. Pleased to meet you." Lemiah smiled as he held out his hand.

Lemiah picked up something different about Lupus as he introduced himself. Lemiah couldn't believe he openly admitted to being a hollow, but even more strange was Lemiah felt no hostility from Lupus like he did from the other hollows. Normally hollows are souls who died suddenly and have become attached to the world through fear or regret. That attachment caused their souls to warp into horrible beasts and at that point the shinigami would hunt and purify the crazed hollow to send their soul to its peaceful salvation in Seireitei. That was what Lemiah had come to understand in the time he spent as a shinigami.

Lemiah's curiosity grew as he looked over Lupus. He appeared human although claimed to be a hollow. He was calm and rational, which was the complete opposite of how hollows normally acted. How could someone like that be an enemy? Lemiah didn't believe that and instead wanted to study and understand this new kind of hollow that didn't hurt others. "Once I install these parts the invention will be complete, but I'll have to get permission for you to try it. Hmm where did he go?" Lemiah looked around him confused trying to find Kazuma. The white haired man dressed in black should stick out in a crowd, but so far Lemiah didn't see him. "I'm not sure where Kazuma is. It seems like we got separated. Maybe if we wander around a bit we will find him. If it's okay with him maybe you can help me with some research I'm working on. It involves hollows somewhat and I promise it will be painless." Lemiah said in a low whisper to Lupus.

He then remembered his Taichou's words before they parted ways "If your good at tracking sp you should be able find me as long as we're in the city." So Lemiah decided to give it a try. He closed his eyes and concentrated as he scanned the city. Normal humans souls appears as small blue colored orbs scattered here and there. The closest soul to him belonged to Lupus appeared as a purple-red color. The soul he was looking for was a deep red color and Lemiah sighed once he did located his Taichou on the other side of town from where they currently stood. "Captain Kazuma is in the shopping district...about 5 blocks east of here. Come with me Lupus. I want you to meet him." Lemiah felt strangely excited for his two newest friends to meet each other. He only hoped Kazama would welcome Lupus to come back to Squad 12 with them. It was probably the only opportunity Lemiah would get to study a non-hostile hollow up close using his nearly finished machine.
