Zyk swiftly dodged the Charge Beam and started charging yet another Shadow Ball. He aimed carefully and released the shadowy sphere.

"You did it, Zyk! You won!" Zinnia cried happily, opening her arms to admit the zubat who was winging his way over as fast as he could. She enthusiastically hugged the fluffy little pokemon under her chin, letting the bloodsucker to snuggle against her neck. "See? You are strong!" she said happily.
Zyk was immensely relieved. After losing so many battles, he had begun losing faith in himself. But now, he had proved that he was still capable of protecting Zinnia! He wouldn't hold the team back.
