That's what I've been taught

Tharros was in the middle of unpacking one of the last boxes when his television set suddenly turned on by itself. Needless to say it caught his attention and kept it there as the Midnight Channel played. He could hardly believe his eyes when he saw a familiar face appear on the screen. It was his little sister in that program! Why did they call her a Shrinking Violet Anchor? That was pretty rude but some of the names were a lot worse.. Like the Lolicon, Hen-pecked, and even Captain Resentment. "Wh.. Why is she in some fighting show?! And against friends no less! What kind of show is this?!.. But wait this means she's here in Inaba. Though I didn't see a stadium or anything like that in town. Dammit.. What the hell is going on here?"
Tharros growled to himself as he paced around the living room, trying to make sense of what happened but not coming to any conclusions at all. Wasn't Sano in town as well? Why wasn't he keeping an eye on here and keeping her out of stuff like that!? 'I gotta calm down.. If I keep raging on like this it won't solve anything. Tomorrow I'll go looking for her.. I'm bound to find a lead somewhere.'

Because cσℓσɾs are born within anything and everything inevitable ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ "Opening a door when your hands are full is tougher than I thought.." Tharros muttered after making into his house, closing the door behind him after a struggling of getting one of his arms free for a moment. Nix was still asleep in his arms as he walked as quietly as he could to the couch to set her down. Whatever happened to his little sister had her out like a light, she didn't wake up during his struggle with the door at all. The man walked into the hall to fetch a spare pillow and blanket, she needed to be warmed up after being out in the freezing cold of the night. After that task was finished the white haired fellow sat down in his recliner and sighed to himself.
A soft meow sounded in the living room as a calico trotted over to him, happy to see her owner was back home. "Hey, Mittens.. I'm back." The cat hopped on to his lap, and curled up. 'What in the world happened.. This wasn't how I was expecting to find her at all.'

XJust because now I know X ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ Nix was standing in the warped Gymnasium of the false Yasogami High, she had went there to find her friends when suddenly everything got dark; save for a spot of light shining down on her. "Hello?.. Where is everyone?" Her voice echoed through the darkness and nothing returned her calls. That was until footsteps sounded behind her. The girl quickly turned around to see a familiar pink haired boy, Genji. "Genji! Thank goodness I found you we have t-"
"Why.. Why did you.. kill me, Gallen-san?.. I thought we were friends." Genji stepped into the light, making his blood soaked white shirt visible. Patches of his clothing and exposed skin were charred, looking as if they were badly burned by some fire. Somehow she knew those weren't from fires, they were from her attacks. "I.. I didn't.. We are friends.. I didn't do this!" Nix was horrified at his condition and stepped back, unsure of what to do.
"Don't lie.. You did this.." "You turned against us.. your own friends." "Why did you attack your friends?!" "I knew she was a murderer.. it's always the silent ones" All of her friends, the Investigation Team, stepped into the light, surrounding her. All of them had terrible mortal wounds like Genji and were placing the blame on Nix and her alone. Their voices held such venom and sorrow, pointing accusingly at the snow haired girl.
"I.. I didn't.. I didn't do-!?" When Nix looked down at her hands they were coated in blood, the crimson liquid was pouring off her palms to form a large pool underneath her feet. When the girl tried to run out of the blood, red hands reached out of the surface and grabbed her shoulders, arms and ankles. A terrified scream echoed through the room as she tried to pull away from the bloody limbs but to no avail. She was helpless as they started dragging her down into the crimson water. Nix managed to pull one of her arms free and reached out to the other, begging for help. Another figured stepped forward, Soji. He looked down at her with emotionless eyes. "I never should have trusted you.." As he walked away the hands started pulling her down with much more force. "NO!! Please!! HELP ME!"
Nix bolted upright, her right arm outstretched before her. Her breathing was ragged and she could feel the cold sweat on her forehead. It was only a dream, no.. An awful nightmare. Tears flooded her eyes as she clearly recalled the nightmare, those images of her battered friends. "I.. I'm sorry.. I didn't want to hurt you..." The snowy haired girl pulled her knees to her chest and rested her forehead on them, feeling guilt fill her chest. In her despair she hadn't noticed she was in a different place, not in the home she was used to. ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ￭ ♫

If Tharros hadn't remembered to take it with him he would've been lost for certain. He wasn't expecting to find his sibling in the middle of the night like he did so he didn't have much food on hand.. Well food he could heat up without turning it into a dangerous substance. Cooking wasn't exactly the man's greatest talent and he's learned that he really shouldn't cook for others, unless he wanted to give them a bad case of food poisoning.. The white haired man made sure to leave the house early in the morning to ensure he got to Junes before his resting sibling woke up! At least that was the plan. The large mall-like department store had a good selection of food to buy at their Food Court so Tharros bought a few things before rushing back home.
He got back a little later than he expected but that was to be expected when you have a horrible sense of direction to live with. Tharros opened the door and stepped inside before closing it behind him only to see that Nix was awake. She didn't appear to be doing well and.. was he hearing her cry? A frown came to his face as he set the bag of food on the table.
Nix jumped when she heard something rattle, it sounded like a bag. It was then it finally clicked in her mind that she was not in Kusuri's house. Her father or the purple haired girl herself would've been in the living room by now. Many thoughts rushed through her mind. Was she taken by one of the Black Messiahs? No.. She would've been in the Tower of Babel had that happened. Then where could she..?
"Did you have a nightmare? Or did you get frightened by being left alone? I thought you would be asleep when I got back."
Nix knew that voice, it had been seven years since she last heard it but there was no mistaking that. Her head quickly rose up to look at a figure she never thought she'd see again. He had gotten a bit taller and had let his hair grow out to a long thin ponytail but that was definitely her eldest brother. "Tharros..?" Despite the fact the girl was entirely sure who it was she couldn't help but think this was some crazy hallucination.
Tharros smiled softly, happy to see that his little sister didn't forget about him. It would've been painful if one of his only family left failed to recall who he was. The man's smile didn't last long as it soon faded from his face and turned into a sad frown. "It's been seven years and you still remember me. I'm happy to see that.. I need to apologize to you though. I kept you waiting a long time before I found you again. You must've been through a lot, Nix.. I'm sorry." The last time he saw her before finding her last night was seeing her and Sano at the orphanage. He had promised them he would try his best to get them back as soon as he could. Sadly when he was finally able to secure a home back in their hometown his siblings were adopted out. He felt like he let them down, failed them because he took far too long.
Why was Tharros apologizing? He didn't do anything wrong.. Sure it had been a long time since Nix saw him but there was no doubt in her mind that he tried his hardest to find her. Seeing the guilt on his face she couldn't tell him the awful truth about what happened to her. To push more guilt on to his shoulders by telling the tales of her abuse would probably break him. Only a select few of her friends knew about what happened and for now it would stay that way. Unless Soji, Minori, Amelia, Faust, and Kusuri decided to disclose it to the others.. The snow haired girl got to her feet but before she could say anything her brother closed the distance and caught her in a tight embrace. For a second Nix tensed up but was able to calm down, this wasn't painful. This was a hug from a family member that didn't wish to kill her.
Tears flooded her eyes at this realization and was soon sniffling softly, trying to hold it back. "I missed you so much, Tharros.. I thought I would never see you again." Nix couldn't say anymore as she started to cry, unable to hold it back anymore. "I missed you too, Sis.. I missed you too. I promise I won't disappear again." Quote: Some time later Nix and Tharros left for Kusuri's house. o wo b

 Raven GallenThe Forgotten Leader of the Gallen Clan How long had it been since he last saw his kids? Seven or eight years? It left like an eternity to Raven. During all that time he regretted the choice he made that night but in that situation, there wasn't much he could do. He had hoped he gave him a more peaceful life with his absence but it seemed the opposite occurred. Once he saw Sano in the Bingo Book, he knew he needed to head to Inaba. If one of his kids got involved in otherworldly business then what about the other two? Raven couldn't remain a phantom any longer, he needed to come back and make sure they were okay and keep it that way.
Which is what brought him to Tharros' house on this stormy day. It was nice to have shelter during this bad weather instead of getting soaked on a roof somewhere. Though he was taking quite the gamble, coming into his son's house after all this time. "I hope he'll be willing to listen.. It doesn't look like Nix is living here. Wonder what's been going on." It was clear from what he saw that only one person lived here and even then it seemed like it wasn't really lived in. The only obvious clue that someone still lived here and didn't abandon the household was the fact the cat was healthy. His son still came by to care for his pet at least.. but where was he if not here? "Ah well.. Guess I just have to wait."

Tharros Gallen "This weather is insane. We'll be lucky if there isn't a flood." Tharros muttered as he started unlocking the door to his home. He may have lived at the SEES-2 dorms but he still made it a habit to return home everyday to feed the cat and keep the place clean. Normally the man was in a brighter mood but the gloomy weather and current circumstances made that hard. Tomorrow was a very sad day for him and his siblings, a chilling anniversary. It would be about eight years since their parents tragic passing in Iwatodai.. At least that was what they believed all this time. He wasn't going to head to their hometown this year though. Tharros didn't think Nix could handle the trip since she was still recovery from her trip to the hospital, unaware she had gotten even more hurt last night. So he was going to stay in Inaba and be there for his sister..
When Tharros opened the door he was met with a strange sight. The lights were on but nothing was destroyed, stolen, or gone through. Did someone simply break in and went on about their day? "Anyone there? Better show yourself or I'll contact the authorities!" It was an empty threat though. He was fully capable of defending himself against a mere intruder and would drag the culprit to the police himself if he had to. So the silver locked man waited for an answer but got one he never expected..
"No need to call the authorities, Son. Give an old man a break here!" Tharros' eyes widened as he heard that, he knew that voice. When the owner of that voice stepped out, he could hardly believe his eyes. There stood Raven Gallen, their father he thought was dead for all these years. What was worse was that he didn't look that much older from when Tharros last saw him alive. He didn't know what to think as he stared at the man what was supposed to be dead. Then something clicked in the man's head and anger burned in his chest. "Uh.. I know this must be a shocker to ya but let me ex-!"
Raven wasn't able to finish his sentence as Tharros slammed a fist against the right side of his face, sending him down to the side with a hard thud. "You.. YOU b*****d!! You're supposed to be dead! For eight years we all thought you and Mom were dead!! Now you come here out of the blue like everything is fine!?" Tears of anger pooled in his heterochromatic eyes as he glared down at Raven, his hands balled into fists. Tharros was trying his best to keep his anger in check, the urge to just keep hitting his father until the rage subsided.. "Do you have any idea what happened while you were off doing gods know what!? DO YOU!?"
Man did that punch smart.. Raven rubbed his cheek, knowing there was definitely going to be a bruise there soon. But he deserved it, every inch of it. "I know.. I know I should've told you all sooner but I couldn't tell ya because-." The old clan leader tried to explain but was cut off when his son grabbed the front of his shirt to pull him off the ground. "You don't know.. You don't know what happened when we 'buried' you and Mom! We all got separated.. Sano and Nix were sent to an orphanage because I couldn't 'provide' for them! Sano got adopted by your old friend and Nix was taken all the way here to Inaba!! It took me all these years to find her while my own brother refused to speak to me.. I know something happened to my sister but she won't say. This family.. This family was broken because of you!" Tharros' voice cracked as he tried to keep up his enraged facade but inside he felt torn apart..
"I'm sorry, Tharros.." Raven voice shook as he calmly moved Tharros' hands off him and placed his hands on his shoulders. "I know I always promised you kids I'd be there for ya.. And I let you all down. But I'm here now to try my best to fix what I can. I'm going to tell ya everything I can." Tharros stood there, staring at his father as he spoke. He wasn't ready to forgive him but the least he could do was listen to what he wanted to say right? "Fine.. I'm only listening because you owe us an explanation."
And so began a long story of the family history Tharros never knew he had. The Gallen family was a clan of demon hunters but they were wiped out, save for their father. After hearing the truth behind the tragic 'accident', it suddenly started to make sense.. But he still wasn't ready to fully forgive him. But he did inform Raven what he had been through since arriving in Inaba. Though when Raven set something on the table, he stopped. It looked like a wanted poster of sorts. "This is a page from the Bingo Book.. See a name that looks familiar? It seems Sano has been hangin' around the wrong group. Wanted dead or alive too. I'm hoping to find him before the others do. Maybe I can bring him in alive and set him straight so he can live a normal life again.. Though my gut tells me it might be too late." ".. So it must've been him behind that.. You can stay here in my house, Dad. I live at the SEES-2 dorm for the timing being as I explained earlier. You gotta find Nix on your own, I won't be the one to tell her you're still alive. That was your mistake." "Got it.."
