Ione sat by herself in the shade, away from any of the human students she could see across the University grounds. Lifting her right arm above her head, she rotated her shoulder, stretching and working through part of an exercise routine. The day was sunny, but not terribly hot even by her senses, so Ione had wandered outside earlier than usual. Her umbrella lay resting against a tree nearby.
Bending over, Ione moved into some yoga she had learned from her mother. The grass was damp and cool, prickling against her skin as she stretch out. Squirming slightly at the sensation, Ione frowned and exhaled, her tale swishing a little in self directed irritation. Unless they found an actual chemical therapy for her condition, the most she could do was grit her teeth and bear it. Numbing roots and herbs could only really do so much, and Ione hardly liked the idea of becoming addicted to painkillers. Rolling over, she stretched up, not really thinking anything in particular.

She had stayed here, beyond what was needed. The Sanctuary was her home. She helped out so many here. Though it was more than abandoned now, Paraietta continued her duties as helper. She straightened up rooms, swept them, dusted them, whatever she could. Some days it felt like she was the only one still here. She could handle that. She could honestly deal with that. It was nearly preferred. Other cats made her nervous. Loud noises made her jump.
There was one other here with her, sometimes. A female by a name she couldn't hardly remember. She didn't go talk to this female very often, but today Paraietta was feeling pretty lonely and worn down. Her hands had fresh scratches on them, which she couldn't feel, and even a few minor burns. The Facility had numbed the pain in her hands. Sniffling a little, allergies kicking in, the small female went up to the one doing yoga, tail flicking this way and that as she watched her.
Sometimes, like now, she would join in, quietly. Paraietta didn't want to disturb the peace that emitted from the other one doing this. So she would do the best she could without help.

On her stomach again, Ione pushed up, aching her back and stretching upwards once more. Eyes closed, she mused idly, her thoughts turned towards more pleasant ideas. Working out usually helped to forget the stresses of her condition, or at least focus them into something more positive. Granted, she could still feel the grass squishing around her lower legs, but it wasn't bothering her as much now.
Flicking an ear off to the side, the mixed female cracked open one eye, catching sight of another nearby. Tilting her head a little more Ione recognized the female as an Aegean who volunteered with Sanctuary, though if she remembered correctly, this cat was just as much a patient as she was a helper.
Watching the other for a moment, Ione smiled quietly. She thought about saying something in greeting, but she didn't want to disturb her impromptu yoga partner, since the female had been so kind as to not disturb her own thoughts.

She was quiet. She knew how to do some forms of yoga, but some of them she obviously struggled with. Occasionally she'd fall off balance and land on her abused hands, but she got right back up and cleaned the stains off on her dress.
It was a few long moments before Para had to stop. Her body wasn't used to being so active. So, the smaller female just stopped and sat down in the grass, watching the other do her routine. There was something about watching someone do this that was very relaxing. She didn't even have to participate if she didn't want to. One could watch this all day and get up a relaxed, calm individual.
Letting her tail twitch, she swayed to music in her head. Hopefully the other would be done soon so she could talk. She didn't want to disturb her, still.

Ione continued stretching quietly, working down towards the end of her routine. She could hear the other beside her shifting occasionally but didn't open her eyes, not wanting to break the peace. That didn't stop a small smile creeping on her face, though. It reminded her of learning the forms as a kit with Mother and Mirelle when she couldn't hold some of the forms for very long either.
Shifting for the last time, Ione sat down, her legs crossed under the hem of her dress. Opening one eye again she grinned, the amusement finally breaking across her face. "Sorry about that." She giggled, leaning back and reaching to grab her umbrella. Placing it by her feet, Ione resettled herself, looking across at the female again. "You're... part of Sanctuary, right?" Ione added, again coming up blank on the Aegean's name.
