She who searches the stars. Herself:Meztli is a mystic, and a star searcher. She spends much of her daylight asleep, so she can be up all night, mapping the stars, and searching them for the hidden meanings, the stories, and, perhaps, the future. She believes the Goddess hid messages for the People there, and wants to find them. She tells their stories, when she pieces them out, to all who listen, and will guide any Person who comes to her as best she can. When she is not searching the stars, she will spend time in her home, painting the walls with images of either the stars themselves, or the stories she has seen. She will also spend time meditating, sometimes with the help of herbs burned on the fire. Nothing to induce a dreamquest, generally, not without another there, of course! But herbs that help one relax, and that sweeten the air, and maybe help one think. Her Family:Her family was a group of 'nobles, wealthy merchants to be exact. Her father, specifically, dealt in rarities, and had made good money on it. Meztli was their eldest, and when she expressed the desire to go into the Religious field, they were rather surprised... but as her brother was following in their footsteps, they were happy to allow it. She does not see them often, as they travel, for her father's trade.

Eleuia, or Ele for short, was snagged by Meztli's father, and given to her as a gift upon attaining her adulthood. Her mother had paid for Meztli's home, and her father, who once in a great while meet a hunter who had caught one in his travels, had hunted for an equal gift. This time, he paid the hunter good money, because he wanted his daughter to have such a prize, to show her he was proud. Meztli, knowing how precious and rare this gift was, valued it, and what it represented for her family to give her such a present. Her parents and brother stayed close for long enough to aid her in raising Ele, but made sure he was imprinted on her. When he had molted, they went on their way, knowing he was old enough for her to handle alone, and there was no longer a likelyhood of him being stolen.

Herself: Oinasi, or Ona, as she goes by with those she is familiar with, is a noble, the daughter of a very wealthy merchant couple, and the heir. She is also their ONLY child. She has been well trained, and continues to be trained, in all the skills needed to attain her personal goals, and to keep the family's businesses going well. They are the owner of several branches of shops, that they rent out to artisans and smaller merchants, along with their own that they manage. Ona has already, as part of her training, begun a partnership shop with a small artisan... She bought the shop with beads her father had gifted her with as rewards for successful lessons completed. She had a decent few left, that she kept as a precious necklace, strung of a cord of silksquirrel hair from her own silksquirrel, Ando. The artisan makes carved wood and bone beads, and has expressed a desire to get into carved stone, some day. Ona is already beginning to stockpile stone, when she can get it, through trade, against the day her artisan thinks she can manage it, or perhaps for another artisan who specializes in stone. Her Family:Alna: Ona's mother, Alna is a noted beauty, and a woman many think is ALL looks, and no brain. She has used this to her advantage through the years, as men always underestimated her when doing business. Alna's family had been lesser merchants, but she negotiated her way to a higher level on her own, which is how she met Ona's father. After besting him in a bargain... twice... She caught his attention quite firmly, as he realized she had both brains AND beauty. Their partnership and marriage has benefited them both significantly. Moché: Ona's father, his line has been Noble level merchants for quite a few generations. His skill at merchanting has left the family with a decent amount of wealth increase, and the marriage was, in his mind, the perfect business deal. He does love Alna, and she loves him, but they are merchants first... And their business profit is what made them choose to marry.

Ona gained Ando as part of one of her first training-business deals her father set her. She'd been taken to negotiate a new contract with a Silksquirrel breeder, who's focus was on the fur rather then their companionship qualities. He had a decent 'herd' of them, but on the day they arrived, there was some trouble... some predator, he hadn't seen what, had attempted to make off with a squirrel, and injured it. He was furious, very, at the thought of having to nurse it back to health, as he had enough to do. Ona, remembering that angry business partners do not negotiate well, or fairly, managed to calm him down by offering to aid him, by caring for the squirrel herself. By the time the negotiations were over, he'd calmed down, and was quite willing to negotiate what came out to a very similar contract as the previous year... but he included the injured squirrel, saying she could care for him, and if, when he healed, she wished to sell him back, she would get a fair price. In the end, Ona named the squirrel Ando, and decided to keep him, as she had grown fond of him. She likes having him around, and having a source of silksquirrel fur for her own projects.
