Requirements for Creating Custom Things
* Defined below.
1. You must go from an Academy Student to lvl 5 (Genin) in order to be allowed to submit the most basic of custom items (Jutsu <= C Rank including Taijutsu moves for existing styles, single creature or weapon summons*). This is to ensure that you have a good understanding of some other techniques, and the battle system.
2. If you demonstrate that you can create reasonable items (being assisted is okay, everyone needs help to make things good) you can create a kekkei genkai for yourself. (Defined as either a single ability or a cohesive set of abilities*. NO Jack of All Trades types). You can make kekkei genkai for a new character but adding it to your current character is highly encouraged. You may also move on to creating Jutsu <= A rank. At this point a cohesive set of Jutsu* can be declared a school*.
3. Once a Kekkei genkai or school has been established and more people (1 person) want(s) to have that ability (set) it can be incorporated into a clan and receive a clan bonus as deemed fit by the crew (Proposed by the creating member). (The clan should be based on the founding member. Ex if it solely contains a genkai the next people would create characters who are the founder's children) This is to encourage the creation of clans through RP. (If a clan holder goes inactive the crew may seize it) A clan may have 1 S rank technique unless otherwise approved by crew.
4. If a guildmember wishes for a canon clan but it does not currently exist the crew will work with them to create it if they can not submit it on their own.
5. Each guildmember that joins a clan may create 1 new clan jutsu with the head's permission
Single creature summons: A summons like Enma, a contract which is made with a single entity.
Kekkei Genkai: A jutsu, trait or set of abilities which can only be passed genetically.
Cohesive set of abilities: Jutsu that all revolve around the same principle. For example, every jutsu is derived from the same basic technique styles. Using the Nara clan as a focus, you can see how all of their techniques are ninjutsu based on the Shadow possession jutsu. In certain circumstances these jutsu could branch into two different jutsu types. Such an occasion would be nintaijutsu where both ninjutsu and taijutsu must be learned in order to perform the nintaijutsu.
School: A set of cohesive abilities that may be taught to others and is not restricted to a family/clan. These abilities do not require specefic genetics and anyone may learn them if a master is willing to teach them. Note that unless otherwise stated by the person who created the set of abilities a school does not become public automatically. However the moment that someone else wants to learn the abilities the owner must decide if they want it to become a clan based set of Hijutsu or remain a school. Now they can be retain ownership as the master of the school but may not stop their students from teaching others.
Hijutsu Set: Essentially the same as a school except the jutsu are kept within a specefic family (clan) or group of families. In other words if someone is attempting to teach a character outside of the family the jutsu it is within the family head's right to either ask a crew member to simply tell them it is not allowed or may take in RP action to stop them. If the hijutsu requires a specefic element all members of the clan must share that element. (See Clan for more details on element sharing)
Clan: A Clan is a group of characters which belong to the same family and share blood ties. They have a particular set of customs (Which may emerge and change due to RP, EX they all wear red clothing). A clan may posses a kenkei genkai, hijutsu or a combination of the two.
6. A single user is not permitted to possess/head more than three custom clans at once. Maintenance of a canon clan is not counted under this rule. However, a user may decide to forsake a previously approved customs clan [which will be transferred to public ownership by the guild] in order to submit a new one.
