Powers:

:::Atlantean Sorcery: Before becoming Aquaman's sidekick, Aqualad was trained in the mystical arts by Queen Mera. While he was in the top class along with Tula, his skills have fallen somewhat behind those of Tula and Garth due to focusing his studies as a hero, but his water-bearers compensate somewhat.

-Electricity generation: He has the power to generate electricity from the eel tattoos on his arms, which he can channel through water or use as a direct offense against opponents.

-Hydrokinesis: Aqualad is able to manipulate water to serve any number of uses, e.g. water blasts, whips, waves, shields, or water spouts to lift him into the air. He can manipulate water from a nearby source, like fire hydrants, lakes, etc. or his waterpack. His water blasts are capable of slicing through metal and other materials.

-Hard-Water Constructs: Aqualad has the unique ability to solidify water into a myriad of different weapons for physical attacks. Some of the things he has created are swords, maces, sledgehammers, a small shield, and a large eel. This ability, like his hydrokinesis and electricity generation, is powered by his eel tattoos. Although he hasn't trained for quite some time, Aqualad -when in dire stress- possesses the unique ability to solidify water into a myriad of different animals for physical attacks and protectiveness as well. For example, he was able to create a manta-shaped shield as well as a giant octopus whose tentacles were used for defensive and offensive purposes.

:::Atlantean attributes: Atlanteans, although Human, have through scientific and sorcerous means developed several abilities which allow them to live comfortably under the sea:

- Breathe underwater: All Atlanteans are capable of surviving the aquatic atmosphere under the sea. Some accomplish this without the presence of visible gills.

- Temperature resilience: Resistant to low temperatures and the effects of freezing, although notably hindered by high temperatures.

- Durability: Dense flesh, although not invulnerable.

- Strength: Ranging from undetected levels to Super strength.

- Toxin resistance: Aqualad has a partial immunity to poisons of sea creatures, such as jellyfish toxin.

:::Expert hand-to-hand combatant: Aqualad is extremly skilled in combat able to hold his own against most Atlanteans.

:::Swordsmanship: Aqualad is a highly trained swordsman; trained in the ancient art of Atlantean swordsmanship, he is able to dual-wield a pair of sabre made by his water-bearers and to use them with deadly accuracy and an almost-superhuman speed.

:::Multilingual: Aqualad can speak Atlantean and English. Likely as an extension of his home language, he has some fluency in Ancient Greek and Modern Greek.

Physical Characteristics

Height: 6"0'
Weight: 178lbs
Hair: Light Blond
Eyes: Green
Tattoos/Scars: He possesses black, eel-like tattoos that run across his back and along his arms and glow a bright blue when using his powers. The visibility of the tattoos is due to the fact that Aqualad dropped out of Sorcery school before progressing to an advanced level; with more advanced sorcerers, the tattoos are only visible when used.

Distinguishing features: Aqualad also has webbed hands and feet and possesses a set of gills that allow him to breathe underwater. The set of visible gills is a trait not shared by most Atlanteans from Poseidonis, but common among the residents of Kaldur's hometown of Shayeris.

Costume: His original superhero costume was a skin-tight, full-body, red-and-blue swimsuit that exposed his arms and feet. His uniform was outfitted with stealth-tech. Pressing the "A" symbol on his buckle changed his shirt to dark gray and his pants to dark blue. Off-duty, he usually wears a blue and black jacket with a high collar to hide his gills and tattoos, black pants and black sandals.

Weapons: Aqualad carries a waterpack that held twin Water-Bearers and water.
Health:

Physical Flaws: Because his natural habitat is underwater, Aqualad is weakened when exposed to high temperatures and dry conditions.

Physical Qualities: Aside from his powers, Kaldur'ahm is physically in great condition. Even before he knew about his powers, Kaldur was an Olympic swimmer and always kept in shape, when he had amnesia. His basic biology is slightly different than other humans in that he has some additional brain tissue, her red-cell density is twice the average, he has the more flexible bone structure of someone still growing, and he naturally has 5 times the lung capacity of an Olympic swimmer. Kaldur'ahm is also very intelligent and extremely knowledgeable about things involving water and the ocean thanks to his extensive education and experience as a student in marine biology.

History
Aqualad came from the Atlantean city of Shayeris, where he was raised by Sha'lain'a, a native of that city, and Calvin Durham, a henchman of Black Manta who was genetically altered to infiltrate Atlantis. However, his actual father was Black Manta himself. He completed his education and began mandatory military service at age 12. At 14, he was transferred to the Conservatory of Sorcery in Poseidonis.

One day, the villain Ocean-Master attacked Atlantis, causing Aquaman to battle with him. During the fight, Aquaman was defeated, but was suddenly helped by the combined forces of Kaldur'ahm and Garth. Using a combination of Garth's magic and Kaldur's fighting abilities, the two attacked Ocean-Master. Though they were easily defeated, this allowed Aquaman precious time to recover and defeat Ocean-Master. After the victory, Aquaman offered the boys the opportunity to become his protégés. Although Garth declined the offer and returned to his studies, Kaldur jumped at the chance to serve his king as his sidekick.

It's not known what happened though, but during his apprenticeship with Aquaman, Queen Mera's son -Arthur Curry Jr.- was found murdered and Kaldur'ahm was attacked. Kaldur's ship exploded and he was presumed dead.

However that was not the case, Kaldur somehow wound up on a ship called Paradise. He was found by the crew of the ship and alerted Captain Matthews, who was a passenger on the ship, because their Captain was busy with the other passengers. Kaldur had no memory of her previous life, so he was adopted and raised by Captain Matthews. Though he didn't remember what he was, he never forgot his love for the water. Kaldur never called Captain Matthews "dad" or "father", he always referred to him as " Captain Matthews," even though it was too formal, he just became used to it.

Captain Matthews was mostly away due to his service to the U.S. Navy. Kaldur was an excellent swimmer and even made it to the Olympics. After winning a gold medal and breaking the world record by thirty seconds, the committee forced him to take a drug test. He tested negative for performance enhancing drugs, but an analysis of her blood showed that he induced Erythrocythemia (also known as blood doping), an illegal form of performance enhancing in which a person injects themselves with their own blood, increasing their red blood cells, endurance, and oxygen capacity (It is most likely due to him being an Atlantean). This ended his career as a professional swimmer. Kaldur was disqualified from the competition, banned from the Olympic games, and "disgraced his country." After this tragedy, he became a Marine Biologist in order to have a job that kept him in the water most of the time.
