Other Information: Matthias is a computer genius, able to hack computers or write advanced programs with ease. He invented his own programming language, M++, and is in the process of field testing a neuroi jammer built into his striker unit. It uses too much magic to be used often, but he is constantly making improvements and tweaking it. He hopes to finish it within a few years. His striker is made of many polymers, some of which are toxic and can cause coughing fits and/or light-headedness.
Background before Joining the Military: Matthias was born to a half Irish, half Scottish (technically Britannian, since Scotland and Ireland don't seem to exist in Strikeverse) father and a Karlslandian mother in Liberion. He was raised to have pride in all of his homelands, and wanted to help the Europeans with their dreadful Neuroi problem, as well as visit Karlsland and Britannia. The best way to accomplish both of these was obviously the military.
Personality: Matthias is clever, easy going, and unorganized. He's not necessarily shy, but is often quiet when he can't think of anything to say. When he does, however, he is usually talkative and hyper. He's also empathetic, honest, and indecisive. He doesn't usually respect people if he doesn't think they've earned it,

Background after Joining the Military: Matthias worked with the Air Force in the states for a few years, mostly in R&D in computer related fields, and then was recruited into the 819th, which sent him to Europe to help with the Neuroi threat. He traveled wherever he was needed, worked with Maddison Nachtfeder for a short time, and eventually was reassigned to the 510th.
During the two years after Sora's departure, Matthias' work has continued steadily, and he befriended Alina, Gracia, and Celia (by extension of Gracia) as the time passed. He's worried about Maddie's obsession with Sora, even though he's never seen her work harder for anything.

Striker Unit Design: His striker features the standard paint job of an F-22, except for a few green stripes added to it. It also bears the USAF Blue Star insignia.
Uniform: USAF ABS-G uniform, though he hates it and only wears it when necessary. He's usually seen in plain jeans and a t-shirt.
Witch Ability/Power: Electric Aura, an ability where Matthias coats himself and his shield in sparking blue electricity. One of his favorite techniques is to fly up high, then dive and tackle an enemy with his shield, in peregrine falcon fashion. If he flys close enough to someone, it will also electrocute and damage them. The power can cut through neuroi fairly quickly, and the ability behaves somewhat like a tesla coil; the longer it is charged, the higher the power and longer the range. This CAN friendly fire, so it's important for his squadmates to keep their distance when it's active. If he uses his magic with his divebombing technique, he can easily slice clean through a neuroi, possibly killing it in one shot.
