I am called: Artemis Akis Cannon
You can call me: Arty
What I look like:
User Image

I am a: Female
How old I am: 29
What I like:
- Stars & Planetary bodies
- Beautiful night skies
- Comedy
What I Dislike:
- Heartless people
- Abusive behavior
- Her ex-boyfriend (more of a fear then a dislike)
Let me tell you my story: Artemis grew up falling head over heels in love with astronomy. Particularly the stars. She studied as much as she could about them and before high school she already knew what she wanted to go to college for. With her vast knowledge she excelled above her peers in science classes and received high scores on tests. She won huge scholarships and colleges that majored in the science fields competed for her attention. As she neared graduation she choose a college she knew would get her far and teach her more. The scholarships she received gave her a full ride through college without having to pay for anything but books, food, and such usual small things.
After nine years of studying in college Artemis received her Ph.D in astronomy. She spent her time completing advanced course work in astronomy and focused with a deep patience and dedication on her research. She stated a thesis topic and began a dissertation. After successfully completing the research, writing, and defense for her dissertation she completed her Ph.D. Seems like a lot of work but she was passionate for the subject of astronomy and it definitely showed.
Now Artemis has a job at NASA studying stars. At the moment she is studying the origin and evolution of stars. She is already a bit known for her work in the field of astronomy and has drawn in quite the group of friends and attention in her local space center.
Though Artemis is intelligent she seems to be a bit lacking in the knowledge of relationships (and all things similar). In time at a different space station near her college (where she volunteered when she wasn't busy with college work) she became quite close to a male working there. He was older than her by a few years but that didn't seem to be a fact that fazed the two of them. After a few weeks and times they hung out when they weren't busy they quickly became a boyfriend-girlfriend thing and moved into a small apartment together. He was very kind and gentle but after a month or two into their relationship he became extremely abusive for no apparent reason. He seemed like a completely different person. He would sometimes physically hurt her, yell at her... You know, all the traits of an abusive male in a relationship. As it became much more harder to deal with she broke off the relationship, moved out and back into the college dorms, and asked to be moved to a different part of the space center she worked at so she wouldn't have to see him again. Sometimes he would seek her out at work to apologize and attempt at getting her back but she always managed to get away. She didn't let such a heartbreak and emotional downfall (in other words; depression) affect her work in the slightest. In fact, she worked harder than before. He frequently calls her, even after so long, and tries in many different ways to explain himself and apologize. He seems like he doesn't want to let her go. She tries desperately to forget her time with him and doesn't like to talk about it. She doesn't let it affect her personality at all because she would hate for one man to change her. Because of this she is a bit skeptical about being in another relationship.

Let me tell you about me: Artemis is obviously passionate about stars and space. She is a hard worker and never seems to worry or stress. She is kind, gentle, and an innocent soul. She sometimes likes to help others that need help and is very dependable. It isn't unheard of for someone to go seek her out in need to talk. She is someone easy to talk to, holds secrets right next to her heart, and isn't someone to gossip. So you can trust her completely. She seems a bit carefree at times. She smiles a lot, brightens up a room when she steps into it, and would even give a stranger a hug.
She sometimes forgets to sleep and instead lies in the middle of her backyard simply staring up at the sky. Occasionally she will fall asleep there and is always scolded for it by her friends when she ends up sick or sore for lying on an uneven, hard surface. Also gets the same scolding for leaving her windows wide open accidentally.
Arty has a small skill for drawing and always carries a notebook with her for sudden thoughts that need writing down.

They call me... Hunter

I saw myself in the mirror today: Hunter is 5 foot, 6 inches (a bit tall for a woman). She has a slim but muscular body that isn't unattractive at all. It's obvious she is strong and well built for all kinds of physical activity. Her skin is slightly tanned into a caramel color. Her hair is thick, wavy, and an orange-red color and her eyes are a green that can be compared to jade. She has a few scars on her hands, mostly along her knuckles, and a light line of scarring extending from below the collarbone to above the last few ribs on the left side of her chest. Unless you know it's there you can hardly notice it.
Hunter has a dangerous, "keep away" feel to her. One can easily get the vibe if that they were to mess with her they are guaranteed a bullet with their name on it later. While she may be female she is far from weak and can take care of herself far better than the average man. She also has a commanding air to her and can take care of situations without even being asked to.
Hunter wears tight fitting leather pants and a black tank top. Around her pants is a belt with all sorts of pouches, loops (called cartridge loops, obviously for holding cartridges), and holsters for something. All are empty. She also has black combat boots. Obviously she likes the color black.

I might not know much, but I know what I can do: Hunter can handle weapons well, even if she doesn't know what they are. If she can get it in her hands it's likely that her body will automatically remember how to handle the weapon. She is also a good fighter, with a blade or hand-to-hand combat. She can take charge of a situation pretty easily, even if she doesn't know what the heck she is doing. She found that she has a nice knack for figuring things out quickly.

And, unfortunately, I also know what I can't: Hunter has an odd pain in her chest that only makes itself known at random times. It'll flare up into a extremely painful ache that will have her dropping what she is doing until the pain goes away. It happens up to a few times a day to sometimes not at all. Completely random.
Hunter also can't get close to people (personally, that is). Just simply can't for some reason. They all seem a threat. Though it's not like you can personally get close to anyone on a ship with people who know next to nothing about themselves.

Here's what I found in my locker: A black leather jacket with smaller loops inside of the jacket (bullet loops), right side of the zipper going down a few inches from the collar to the bottom hem of the jacket. Also has many inside pockets.
There's also gloves, a small notebook with some pages torn out of it, a pencil, a few small shirts that look as if they belong to a male but fit her, and a canvas cloth backpack that's empty and looks like it's been well used.

And here's what I got off the bodies: A slide-action rifle and a couple of tube magazines, a revolver with no bullets to go with it (could probably club someone to death with it), a hunting dagger half the size of someone's forearm, and a key that's strung on a chain (makes a lovely necklace). Oh, all some scraps of clothing she tore off the bodies. No idea as to why she did it but the dead have no use for clothing. Right?

I suppose there might be one other thing: Hunter obviously likes to kill things (mostly people). She doesn't seem to be a lunatic or anything. Just accustomed to killing people. She finds herself thinking up all the ways to kill someone when she looks them over. It's kinda creepy. She likes to be on top of things. Commanding but dangerous, like a caged lion that could rip off your head at any moment you have your back turned. The "don't bite the hand that feeds you" rule doesn't apply. She's quiet and sneaky through the shadows (gotta love the shadows). Like one second there's nothing there and then you turn around and she's standing there. The reactions are pretty funny, looks like a cross between a heart attack and a spasm attack. Accompanied by the occasional shout of surprise. She likes to threaten people as well.

I do recall one name. I know it isn't mine, though: Wyrda Stenr

She is graceful and quiet in her movements like a whispering breeze. Willow is also intellectual, communicative and social. One can hold a conversation with her about trivial matters or even have a simple small talk with her for a few moments. It is also too easy to open up to her. Dangerously easy.

She looked up to her older brother with love and admiration (and still does). When most first meet them they think that she must be the oldest but she just rejects such praise. She wishes the best for her brother and doesn't mind being the second in line to him. When he was chosen to be the wielder of power only Gods can have she was very proud of him and supports him wholeheartedly. She is not jealous of him at all. She simply goes on with her studies, presentation of herself, and the support of her brother.

Tsukiko xxxxxxCanis Dirus ("Fearsome Dog" or dire wolf)
x

STUDENT ID

Gender: Female
Age: 20
Special Ability: The ability to change forms between human and wolf (that is roughly the size of a small horse). In human form her senses are heightened slightly. Enough to allow her to sense when she is in danger and change forms. As a wolf she has incredible strength, speed, and intelligence. Her senses are even more heightened. Her howls are loud enough to be heard miles around her and her movements can be as silent as a gentle breeze. She's even big and strong enough to allow one or two people ride on her back.
Weakness: As a human Tsukiko is completely blind and is noticeably weaker. This trait doesn't seem to carry over to her other form. She also has trouble hurting or killing others.
Bio: Tsukiko has no memory of family or friends. She woke up, at the age of ten, as a human experiment knowing nothing about herself. In an empty room, alone and cold... And completely blind. It took her hours to become aware of and gain control of her body. Another hour to actually get off the bed she was lying on. Sadly all the effort ended with a locked door and a bare room before returning to the bed. What was days later an older male visited her. He preformed a series of tests on her to see how she was adjusting to her body and senses that weren't normal for a human. Despite her lack of sight she could function as well as anyone that could see.

A year later and Tsukiko still didn't know anything about herself. She was simply put through tests and experiments that weren't explained to her day upon day. All of this tested everything from strength to senses. In strength she lack horribly, weaker than even the average human, but her extreme senses made up for it. Another year of tests and then her ability to transform was introduced to her. The first time was excruciatingly painful. In her other form she is a white wolf the size of a small horse and her abilities as a human are multiplied. Her strength and stamina is huge and she can hear a leaf falling to the ground miles away. She can also see. Because of all of this she prefers to stay in wolf form. Her human form is weak and can easily be taken advantage of.

It wasn't until Tsukiko was sixteen until she found more about herself. Being in the dark so long made her curious and she couldn't help but press the male that was in charge of her experiments for information. It took a lot but eventually he cracked. He did see her as the sort of child he never had. He told her that she was an orphan at eight years old when he found her. He offered her a better life; something she couldn't refuse in her situation. He had been trying to create a werewolf, or a superhuman creature that could be used as the ultimate weapon in war. He had attempted the experiment thirty times (she is the thirty first) and every single one failed in a death. It took him two years, with her in a deep coma, to finally complete the experiment. He was ecstatic that it was a success and had been waiting for her to wake up so he could complete his experiment by making her body stronger. He said that the only reason he was telling her this was because the phase of making her as strong as he could get her was nearly done.
Though Tsukiko was happy to know more about herself she was quite upset to learn she was an orphan experiment that could have possibly died. Since she had learned everything she possibly could by her creator and felt like an empty shell that could be controlled she wanted to leave. She didn't want to kill people. She was made to be a weapon that followed orders but she was never expected to grow feelings. In a sudden surprise attack she gave all the people in the labs she was experimented in a wild goose chase. She rampaged through the halls as a wolf and broke down walls. With all the confusion she was easily able to get away as a human. She completely changed her appearance as a human and rarely changes into a wolf unless surrounded by thick forest.

Now twenty years old she is changed from who she was in the labs located deep in recluse areas. She is living a normal life with friends. She hasn't heard from anyone from her past but is constantly haunted by it. She wishes desperately to be normal and forget who she is. When she was found by GDA she was surprised. She didn't expect for anyone to know about her abilities. They offered her a chance to further strengthen her abilities and to become someone other than a weapon. Happy that she could do something good she accepted.

Personality: Tsukiko is a kind, gentle person. She doesn't speak much but when she does her words are soft. She trusts easily and is easily trusted. Well, she only trusts you if you don't seem suspicious. While she doesn't enjoy hurting people she is very protective of people close to her. She likes to make people happy.

              PERSONALITY

Scora is a quiet, keep-to-herself sort of person. Any opinions, thoughts, or ideas are usually kept to herself and only revealed if she happens to take a rare base of action or it's somehow forced out of her. She usually has good ideas too, being that she has a lot of time to think in a kitchen. She doesn't socialize with people much but will in certain situations. Other than that she's has a pleasant, friendly atmosphere that's very inviting.

When in her kitchen Scora tends to be in her own world, cooking or baking some concoction that always turns out to taste pretty good. Even with limited supplies she still manages to make something pleasant to eat. She doesn't really mind if people show up to visit and will usually send them off with a small snack or something of the sort. Though she doesn't seek out people to socialize with she doesn't mind when people seek out her for whatever reason and will always listen in a manner that is comforting to the speaker.

              BIOGRAPHY

Scora used to be a glowing, blue orb of a spirit with no purpose but to explore the planets of the universe for an eternity. She would drift through space, a soccer ball sized orb that pulsated with a blue glow like a slow heartbeat. All she had was her thoughts, no body or emotions that made most species of alien. She wasn't too sure of where she came from or what she was but called herself a spirit like some would call her when they managed to catch a rare glimpse.

Scora witnessed the growth of planets and alien species for countless years, usually growing bored of them and moving onto a lesser developed planet that she could watch for awhile. It was a long time before she reached a planet with a species called humans. She took an instant interest in them, oddly curious of the way they functioned and went about their daily lives. She was so interested in them that she created for herself a human body using her energy. Well, not a full grown body. Seeing that these humans were born from the females of their race she choose one adult female and started her life as a human inside the female, as a baby. She intended to grow as a human would and experience everything about them. But it came with a price. Using her energy to start this life she had to give up a great majority of her memories of what she witnessed. To one like her, who witnessed so many things, it was a decent price to pay for something she was so interested in.

Scora was then born a normal functioning human baby with all the organs and emotions they had. They only thing different was her heart, which was a smaller version of her spirit self, that pumped a silver liquid substitute for blood throughout her body. That was all that was left of her former self along with the drive to live a happy human life. Everyone was awed by this odd baby, not only for the different organ and blood but because the mother was a complete virgin. There was no possible explanation as to how she had the baby. The mother did not care though and loved this baby whom she believed was very special. She named the baby Scora and raised her into a perfect life.

Scora grew up normally and was often seen reading many books, one of which contained the legend of the Treasure Planet. She enjoyed this story greatly and always carried a copy with her, wondering if there was actually such a planet. As she reached age 15 in her human life she gained one odd ability that set her apart from normal humans, an ability she kept secret. She wasn't sure where it came from and didn't want people to make fun of her for being different. This ability was psychokinesis, the ability to move objects with her mind and control certain events. She couldn't control events well and rarely used this ability but she did move objects at times.

At the age of twenty Scora had become a skilled cook, a job she took seriously, and was recruited into the crew of the Santa Sophia for her skills. She wasn't afraid to use her ability much in public, since there were even more alien things then her, and she knew she wasn't exactly a pure human with this ability and silver blood. She mostly uses her ability to help her around the kitchen, nothing more than that. She refuses to do anything destructive with it. She enjoys her job as a cook on a ship and tries to do her best at it, making people happy with the food she makes.

Sanskrit Arucane

Age : 71
Gender : Female

Likes : Flying, forests, warmth, fire, apple trees, exploring, and causing mischief.
Dislikes : Other Dragons (excluding her adopted father), talking, humans, cramped spaces, nightmares, and jagged or sharp objects that could cause harm.
Fear : Being chained up or caged, and traps.

Sanskrit is a small and young Dragon. She is actually too small for her age. Most Dragons grow at a very fast rate as they get older, sometimes growing to the size of mountains. While most her age would at least be bigger than the size of a human home she is just barely above half that size. Her small stature may be an advantage but she is mostly made fun of for it. She is too small, they tease, to protect herself or even hunt animals big enough to sate a Dragon's hunger. Coupled with her inability to fly, she is considered next to useless for doing anything to help the dragon population of Khothu. She cannot fight, or defend, or hunt well without flight or the strength of a Dragon.

Sanskrit grew up without parents. She doesn't remember them at all. A dragon that abandons their young isn't common but isn't unheard of either. Some Dragons just don't want to be parents or they just disappear (no one knows where to or why). Without a parent she had no one to take care of her. Luckily, Dragons are creatures that adopt orphans instead of killing them. She was adopted by a kind, elder Dragon. She had a hard time opening up to him (or anyone, for that matter) at first but after awhile he managed to break through her hard exterior. It was much easier after that and they came to know each other as father and daughter. Though he was old he had no trouble teaching her magic, hunting, and flying (she had two wings then). She was a fast learner and soaked up his lessons like a sponge drinks in water.

By the time Sanskrit was twenty, an age that is still considered the age of a child (or hatchling), she knew just quite a lot about being a Dragon of Khothu. At least for her age (there's always room for more learning). She was known then to cause many problems. She liked to ambush the activities of older, more experienced Dragons and they would become angry with her. But because she was so young and a fast learner they would only let her off with a small punishment. At this time she had potential and many Dragons would talk to her or allow her to join activities. She was taken into the population of Dragons that considered each other family and took care of each other. At the age of twenty-nine, however, that ended abruptly.

While Sanskrit liked to cause mischief with the Dragons she also enjoyed messing with the humans and exploring their lands. Many humans that did not listen to the law at all and hunted in the lands around the Kingdom and Khothu. It was very rare that they would catch a Dragon outside of the well guarded land of Khothu but when they did come across one they wouldn't even wait for a second to pounce on it. Since Sanskrit would explore outside of Khothu often she was bound to be caught sooner or later. While flying through a forest she somehow managed to get herself caught in a human trap made for Dragons. It tangled around her wing in a painful knot of metal, spikes, and chain. Struggling made it worse and the metal rubbed the feathers and fur off wherever it touched. After long hours she simply gave up, knowing that Dragons that were caught by humans disappeared. Obviously killed by the humans but the older Dragons didn't like to tell hatchlings that.

The way Sanskrit was caught in the trap had her suspended by her wing though and the more she relaxed the more it hurt. This is the way the traps were designed. It helped stop escape attempts by making struggling and relaxing painful in different levels. It exhausted the Dragon as well and sometimes even did the job of killing the poor creature. She barely even managed to make it before the humans found her. Their excited jabs at her with guns and talk of how much money her feathers and fur would get them made her panic. Her frantic attempts to get away cut through her skin like a saw. Eventually her jerky movements and pained cries were ended because she fainted (which made it easy for the humans because that meant they didn't have knock her out). She woke up as she was being tied up by the humans. Without even thinking she struggled and, even though she was small, managed to get away. For some reason she could not fly so she resorted to jumping from tree to tree until she reached the rocky terrain of Khothu. She hid in a small cave and that is where she found that she had lost a wing. The adrenaline wore off and all she could feel was terrible pain radiating from the bloody stump where her wing had once been. Turns out that she had gotten so tangled up and the chains cut so deep into her wing that the idiotic humans could not get her out of the trap without cutting off her wing.

Sanskrit returned to the Dragons and healed within time but she had to start all over again with her learning. She could not fly and because of that she had trouble learning to hunt. Her potential dwindled to nothing and most of the population lost interest in her. Even those that liked her and thought of her as a friend before gave her nothing but looks of pity. The only one she trusts and actually confides in now is her adoptive father. He helped her learn in a different style then usual for her lack of flight ability. She became a very fast dragon on the ground from running, jumping, and climbing. Her senses became more heightened and she was able to stalk and hunt small prey (like deer, which is just enough to feed her and her father) on the ground. She became stronger (though not as strong as male Dragons) from having to climb the mountains and over obstacles that could have been easily avoided if she could fly. Out of all of that she also obtained an unnatural ability with magic. She needed it to make up for everything and enjoyed learning it more now that she is useless. Though even with all of this she is still made fun of and ignored. No one likes a Dragon that is useless and does not want to participate in anything. She still causes mischief but not as much. She simply practices her magic, does a little exploring, hunts a bit, and mopes around in distress over her lost wing and the jests from other Dragons.

Sanskrit's life is a sad one but has the potential to turn for the better in some ways.
