Clan History:
The Minamoto clan is a particularly long running clan which has been a rather big figure among the lands eventually the Lightning Country was built due to their unique and very effective methods of combat gifted to them by their Kekkei Genkai.
During the feudal clan wars which ravaged the lands, the Minamoto would hone their skills in a wide arrange of jobs including Assassination, Escort, Sabotage and various other tasks which they themselves only accepted if it would gain them an upper hand, and in turn more influential power. This of-course led to the confrontation between the Minamoto & Uchiha, who also were a rather big rated clan during the Clan Wars; As a result the two clans began to wage common conflict against each other, even in open combat with large amounts of members involved.
Eventually the Minamoto realized along with most other big name clans that it would be beneficial to them and others if they banded together with other clans within the area into one governing force. And so it was that the previous Minamoto leader Arashi Mimamoto set forth a goal to create a country which would treat all its citizens with equality and prosperity; after a few years of gathering support for the cause the Minamoto became a rather respected embodiment. However this was not without the bad sides of becoming a famous clan, and as such in another large scale open land conflict with the Uchiha Clan, Arashi Minamoto was killed in battle.
As such the head of the clan fell to Dakuenjeru Minamoto, who to this day is head of the Minamoto.

A similar result in Nature Combination to the well known Magnet Release, Distortion Release grants the user the ability to push and pull matter depending on size and grade of discharge. This is achieved by the density and pressure which is unique to each member of the clan; Dense enough to push objects to the user's desire as well as enough to pull objects the user themselves touch when coated with the black hazy chakra itself; The output itself can be channeled to either limbs, radius or ark of effect depending on manner of use.
There are three grades categorized in the Minamoto's Distortion Release and are numerically dubbed as 1, 2 & 3. With 3 being the strongest, Minamoto users can gauge the pressure of their discharges as well as how quick an object returns to the user when touched depending on grade.
The main technique tip all Minamoto are taught is that the smaller and more compressed the discharge, the more powerful the Jutsu, and as such with more advanced chakra controlling Ninja; even a simple Grade 1 discharge can be amplified a certain amount.
Grade 1: An example of a Grade 1 discharge on a foe's body would be much like a stronger punch to the body, able to stagger even render them sliding back on impact.
Grade 2: An example of a Grade 2 discharge on a foes body would either send them onto their backs or flying off into the impact's intended path if met at close range. Even killing younger or lower ranked ninja in one blow.
Grade 3: An example of a Grade 3 discharge is more of a drilling pressure applied at violently high speeds onto an object. If met by the human body at close range, the entire discharge would leave a large clean hole in the area of impact and continue on-wards.
For balancing purposes, any user with Distortion Release cannot pull any life-form that is alive and is only limited to inanimate objects.
