It was no longer than a ten minute walk outside the Markets as now it was Caleb's turn to hum a little bit the same tune Aveline was whistling as they were leaving the instrument shop. Luckily, it was something he did out of habit; so it was not too out of the normal. Passing by big houses here and there along what could be called suburbia, the two finally came to a smaller house. It was not much to go by, but it was suitable enough for him and now for someone else. It frightened him a bit; never living with anyone else outside his family; but it could be an adventure for her as well. "Casa de Targe. Or the Bungalow. However you want to call it. Although it would be now Casa de Targe y Black. Or just the Bungalow would be easier and less of a mouthful." Was he babbling? Why, ye, he was.

Moving onward to the front door, he used the same key-set from the shop and unlocked it before stepping in first, but holding the door for her in the end. Once she was inside, it was a rather small interior, but at least it was well comforted. Straight on after the small entry-way set out either to the living room; along with another room-turned music room on the right and the kitchen/dining room diagonal from the entry-way. To the left from the entry-way was a hallway that lead into two bedrooms; opposite sides from each other and the bathroom straight at the end of the hallway. Closing the door behind her, he gestured to her left towards the hallway. "You are more than welcome to place your items in the bedroom on your left. I just used it as a guest bedroom, so we can go back to the Markets tomorrow to rearrange the room to your liking now."

Shifting himself over to the music room, Caleb placed the box in the music room. Stretching out a bit, he hopped over to the kitchen and pondered for a moment. "Sandwiches or are you in the mood for something else?" He looked onward towards the hallway as he called out to Aveline; not really too sure what she wanted to eat...let alone what she would want to eat specifically.

As Caleb made it clear he was leaving the instrument store, Aveline quickly scuttled over to the door to leave as well. Chirping simple bird songs on her way, she didn't even notice the man's confused look at the sounds she was making. While they were song-like, they were nothing more than an expression of happiness, bird language style. Of course he wouldn't recognise the songs, only other Nightingales would. But teaching him to recognise her different songs, now that could be fun. She had her own style of chirps, chirps that made her different from other nightingales. This way, he'd always find her, no matter what. Clothing bag in hand, Aveline bobbed on the balls of her feet and grinned as Caleb did. It was home time, and it wouldn't be too long of a walk. Walking didn't really bother the woman much, it was exercise, and she liked exercise. Flying would have been preferable, but her situation at hand prevented that until night time. Switching to a more recognisable tune for Caleb's sake, she picked a piano concerto that she didn't know the name of, her whistling was soon joined with humming, and it made the walk just a little bit more interesting.

The walk through what people called suburbia was rather enjoyable. It was nice and quiet, and much better than the places she lived in with the warlocks and sorcerers. This 'suburbia' was very much enjoyable. There were a number of big houses, and passing them by, Aveline found herself wishing it wasn't one of these big houses they would enter. Big houses reminded her of the cold, bleary manors that some warlocks liked to inhabit to keep with the "theme" of being a "magic man". The more rooms the better was their motto, but it wasn't right for Aveline. Small and cosy was what she liked, less space to memorise and get lost in. Too lost in her sightseeing down the street, Aveline had to stop and turn on her heel upon hearing Caleb's voice announce they were home. A small, creamy coloured home met her eyes, and a gleeful smile came to her face. One story, small and cute, with a nice amount of trees. Walking up to the house as Caleb babbled away (it was rather cute honestly, his babbling) all she could do was smile before uttering a hushed compliment. "It's perfect."

Upon entering the house after Caleb, the layout was easy to follow, all the rooms easily lead into one another and it was very quaint. Turning to look at the hallway that was pointed out, leading to the bedrooms, Aveline nodded. "Yeah, I'll put my bag in there. I can fix things up later." Skipping quickly away to find the room on the left, she pushed open the door and let out an awed sigh. There was a couch, a bed for one, and a nice little coffee table. There wasn't much she wanted to do to improve the room, but there was one thing she wanted that would probably sound weird. That could wait for tomorrow though. Bag placed on the couch, black flats neatly left near the foot of the bed, Aveline made her way back to the main part of the house. Hearing a voice call out from the kitchen, she poked her head around the archway, hair flopping around her face. "Sandwiches are good. I'll eat anything these days. I do like multigrain bread best though..." Shifting so she was completely visible now, the woman kept her hands clasped in front of her chest inside the sleeves of her jumper as she began to inspect the room. It was plain and simple; simply perfect. Aveline knew she'd be happy here.

This may be one downside of Caleb, he kind of doesn't really pay attention to much anyone else outside of his brain. Luckily, he only had multi-grain bread; so that was a plus to Aveline. Finally remembering there was someone else now in the house, he looked back over to the young woman and blinked. There was a moment of confusion, but it was completely benign and shook his head a little bit; knowing she would ask about it. Having his attention back to the refrigerator, the young man grabbed a few fixings before closing the door behind him. Spreading it out along the the countertop, he brought out two butter knives and set one down on the counter. Now, any sane owner would never have the person go near any form of sharp objects let alone having one within reach so easily. However, Caleb was just a bit off from a sane person--not in the needing medication; but more of playing the trust game. Granted, it was just a butter knife after all.

Now, a gentleman would make a sandwich and create the food for his guest. However, a true gentleman would let the newcomer to the home create his or her own to his or her liking. Plus, Caleb loves to smother the bugger out of the sandwich with the yellow mustard and sometimes that was not so pleasing to the eye. Looking over to Aveline, he gestured on to the counter, as there was enough space for the two of them to create their sandwich side by side. "You are more than welcome to make yours however you wish. Or just eat the bread dry." Near instantly regretting stating that, feeling it was a side-swing of an insult to her kind, he furrowed his eyebrows a bit in guilt. Caleb needed to remember to think before speaking--since living alone he could speak however he wished. Now it was a completely different story. There were no regrets in this purchase, not a drop of it--but this would certainly be a lesson in life they both need to do.

Shifting back to face the counter, but still giving plenty of space for Aveline, Caleb went about on his own to create his own sandwich. Reaching to the side where Aveline would be standing, he went into the cupboard to grab two plates and settled it close to them before reaching into the cupboard above him to grab a bag of plain potato chips. Already munching on a chip directly from the bag, he kept it open while continuing on to prepare his own sandwich. Mayonnaise, a lot of yellow mustard, two slices of cheese, a slice of ham and a slice of turkey--the cheese and the meat alternating. Finally placing a few chips on top--to give that sandwich a good crunch--he placed down the other slice of bread before placing it down on one plate. Another handful-and-a-half of chips and he was ready to go. Granted, he would love a good cold beer in his other hand; but that would be most certainly rude. Well, that and he was out of beer. He was not a frequent drinker, but a good one every now and again helped Caleb unwind. Holding onto the plate in one hand and the sandwich in the other, he dove right in, the crunch of the chips sound off from his bite and the grasp; letting a few crumbs fall onto the plate. At least he was a civilized savage.

Watching Caleb in the kitchen, Aveline hovered a little before joining him over at the counter. Giving a small 'I get what you tried to say' smile at his comment about just eating the plain bread, the woman took a moment to watch Caleb and see what he was going to prepare. Frankly Aveline didn't really have any idea about what to put in a sandwich - she'd always been given pre-made ones - it would be fun to make her own. Head flicking with each movement that the male made, her body jumping out the way on instinct when he went to get plates, some foodstuffs was pulled out from a cupboard above their heads. Canting her head to the side, the art of sandwich making sure was interesting. There was some stuff in a jaw called mayonnaise, which smelt quite alright. Some yellowy looking spread that didn't smell quite as nice; it's label said mustard and Aveline made a note to avoid it. But the cheese, the ham and the turkey was appealing. The woman liked meat, except poultry of course, so those were appealing. But what really caught her attention was the addition of the crisps on top. Eyes opening a little, Aveline remembered the crunch of crisps when she was still a bird. Salty, crunchy, a real treat.

When Caleb bit into the sandwich, Aveline couldn't help but give a slight chuckle. Fist hidden in her jumper sleeve touched to her mouth as she giggled, and honestly she couldn't help it. People were indeed funny to watch. Looking to the fridge, the woman hesitantly made her way over and opened it. She knew that there were some spreads you had to keep cold, and finding the yellow container hidden at the back, she felt mighty proud of herself. A butter knife was quickly found after remembering where Caleb got his own from, and the awkward woman began to make her masterpiece. The masterpiece in question was nothing but bread, butter and a generous handful of crisps. Looking proud as punch, Aveline went down the same route as Caleb and took the largest bite possible of her creation. While she did eat in a much more ladylike manner, the small shower of crumbs danced on the plate while the woman chewed quietly, looking mighty at peace with the world. Looking around the house, the bird was trying to find any hint of an outdoors area, and fidgeting on the spot for a moment, she finally gave in and asked Caleb.

"Is there somewhere to sit outside? I'd really like to sit outside." Sandwich sitting on her plate now, Aveline slowly began to pick at the crumbs left on her plate, picking up the tiny pieces between her fingers like a bird would peck at on the ground. "I want to hear more about the music store too, please." Smiling happily, it was pretty obvious that the woman was quite happy with how her new living situation was going to pan out. But a blush rose to her cheeks as she thought about revealing why she actually wanted to sit outside for the moment. It was a completely reasonable request, but it was still embarrassing to ask such a thing when so many people wouldn't even be able to fathom why she'd ask such a silly thing. "I wanted to sit outside... Well... I want to spend some time in the sun before night falls, honestly... It sounds stupid, doesn't it?" Chewing her bottom lip, again the woman fidgeted on the spot, still picking at the crumbs on her plate out of habit. It was still really hard to ask these things from people who didn't really understand just how much it meant to her to be out in the sunlight, and how it wasn't something she could ever take for granted.

[ ooc; Aveline has come out to play too~!! Wheee! If you want to make Caleb ask her anything, go nuts c: ]
