Asch rolled his eyes. Gee... wonder what gave anyone that impression. However, the expression was mostly hidden from Arcadie seeing as he was facing Mieu and not her.

"Hmph. I'll take this fuzzball off your hands if it'll make you shut up."

He had a sneaking suspicion that's what she wanted anyway. But best to make it -his- idea instead of her pushing it off on him or something.

Tyke blinked and tilted his head at his master before looking at Mieu again. Oh boy.

It might have been a slight hope of hers, the same kind of hope someone has when they're waiting for lottery results to be results, but she wasn't expecting him to outright offer it. Her eyes lit up - possibly even more than usual - and she clapped her hands together, "Ooh! That would help a lot!" And gosh, wasn't he just so sweet about it. "It's a pretty decent level too, so if you can get it to listen then it should be nice to have around." The Flareon was a lot cuter than her Mismagius, if she had to choose between them, but she was actually starting to make a little progress with the Mismagius and didn't want to sacrifice one full-time relationship to try and build another. Sometimes she kind of regretted not learning to get along with pokemon as a child.

Mieu's ears flicked disapprovingly at the conversation that was underway. He wasn't some kind of toy to be passed around, and he already had a trainer. But, as much as he hated to admit it, at least he stood a better chance of seeing his human again in Asch's care instead of with whoever-that-woman-was. It seemed he didn't really have a choice but to accept what came one way or another, though.

Asch was just full of sunshine and rainbows, what you talking about!

"Whatever, just hand over the ball." And she hasn't shut up yet, geez. He didn't care about the thing's level. It probably wasn't going to listen to him any more than it was to her, anyway. He had a feeling he'd have an even tougher time with this one than Vahy'n. Sigh. Welp, there were ways to remedy that if he got to be too much of a pain.

He couldn't believe that he was taking the dreck's Pokemon. The most ridiculous one of his bunch, even. But sometimes sacrifices had to be made.

"Yessiiiiir." She removed the luxury ball from her belt and held it out for Asch to take. Wasn't he just the sweetest thing.

Sweet as week old meatloaf.

Asch snatched the ball and then stood up again, pressing the recall button to return the blasted Flareon. He had a feeling he might regret this.

Arcadie probably would have agreed with that analogy. Asch was a guy who needed a good night out with a strong cocktail, she surmised.

With her hands unoccupied, she folded them behind her back. That was that then, huh? "Well, thanks." And you're welcome, but from the way he was acting about it, she suspected he didn't feel like he was being done any favors.

Flooter released his bind on the Flareon when the pokeball was turned on it, leaving Mieu scarcely enough time to tense and glower at the boy holding his luxury ball before he was pulled back into its confines.

Yeah, he could probably use something like that. Asch was kinda lacking in the friends department though, and he was still too young to drink legally. That hadn't stopped him before but it wasn't like he could go get alcohol on a regular basis.

Asch said nothing more to Arcadie. After the Flareon had been returned to its ball, he walked past her and headed back towards his room. Tyke blinked in confusion, glanced up at Arcadie, then scampered off after his master.

Nice talking to you, have a nice day. Why thank you, same to you. Goodness, it wasn't as though being criminals made them social savages. Arcadie waved with both hands at the Zorua when it looked up at her then turned to address the Drifloon. The balloon tilted to a side curiously, earning a pat on the head and a few words of delighted encouragement. So what if the thing wasn't a high enough level to be useful in the labs? If that meant she had gained a pokemon that would listen to her seriously, then she was okay with that.
