well, i wrote this about 20 minutes ago, so it's very rough and small. Tellme what you think!! Last minute addition: I wrote this in extreme boredom. I know it's not that good. I'm just looking for opinions... ok.

Pink

“They were here today. They’re always here in the early morning, jogging side by side. She always looked stunning in a pink velour jumpsuit, while her ‘friend’ jogged along in a dirty white t-shirt with torn up track pants that seemed like they would fall apart at any second. They were an unlikely pair, those two. But, they’re always running.
Their lives, though, portrayed the mirror image of society’s hold on them. Women vs. men had captured them in the tumbling…”
“Gahhh!” he exclaimed in frustration. “What the hell was I thinking?” He looked down at his yellow-tinted legal pad and looked upon his latest work with horror and disbelief. He ripped the unworthy words from his notepad, crumpled it into a tiny ball, and sent it flying behind him, landing in a garbage can.
Why couldn’t he come up with any thing? He used to be so good at his craft. His name had once been celebrated as the newest sensation in the world!! Jeremy Thratch: the prodigy of his time! Publishers had once groveled at his feet! Now he was a washed-up writer that couldn’t even catch a chance with low-budget birthday card companies.
His demise had been prompted by some computer genius that had written the most abominable (at least in his opinion) historical fiction on a man named Percy Pokay, who apparently invented some incredible candy. Something about a cracker stick being dipped in sugary flavored syrups. Jeremy thought it sounded crazy and fictional in its entirety.
Jeremy sat there, attempting to observe a story idea that would make him a New York Times Bestseller again. The lush green park offered many amazing natural attractions. There was a stunning fountain located in the middle of a pond a few hundred feet away, chipmunks and squirrels that seemed to pop out of nowhere and steal peoples’ picnic snacks, and towering trees that would give the impression of the tall skyscrapers that encircled the park. None of these, though, offered much for a story. He’d tried out the idea of a romance/drama about a squirrel and a chipmunk and their impermissible love – a Romeo and Juliet type – but failed horribly and was laughed out the publisher’s building.
Jeremy was about to get up and leave, his frustrations exhausting him mentally and physically, when he looked up at the sound of a throat clearing. He was astonished to be looking her, the woman in pink! She leaned in close to him, so close he could feel her breath the made his hair stand on end. She whispered softly into his ear, leaned back out, smiled, and left in a full jog for a second lap.
Jeremy hesitated only for a moment. He ran to the garbage can, swam in the aging pile, and was overjoyed to find his tattered, and somewhat soiled, pieces of yellow paper. He looked back at the park and, with a smile and a wave of hope, ran home to write his award-winning novel.

thanks for reading it! It's not the greatest thing I've ever done, but it's ok... thanks, though!
