Hunters are people who make their livelihood as non-bending mercenary type wanderers. Their lack of bending prowess does nothing to limit their combat prowess, as years of training, special weaponry, and techniques have brought them to the same level as those with Bending Power. Although they are normally hired to kill or otherwise detain Benders, they hold no personal issue with the Bending community, and at times, are great friends with Benders.
Hunters are known to have deep wells of spiritual or demonic energy within them, however, they can not align their inner energy with that of a given element. Instead, different groups eventually formed clans and families that have specific techniques and strengths. While they are unable to give physical form to their inner energy, some families have figured ways to extract their energy through certain techniques or abilities.
Families:
Van Helsing, Who make contracts with Demons that they seal within weapons. " Demon Hunters "
Ching, An old and traditional family that specialize in the use of explosives and poisons. " Shinobi "
Schoenbaum, A new family that breed and alter War-Beast's, which they carry in baskets into Combat. " Beast Tamers "

Van Helsing Family The Van Helsing Family is one of the few families of Hunters. Instead of using conventional means of combat, they do something that many label as ' Evil ' or ' Blasphemous. ' Just as there are spirits, there are demon's in this world. The Van Helsing Family summon's demons, and enter a contract with the demon, before sealing the demon and it's power into a specially made weapon. They train extensively with these Demonic Weapons and Powers until they themselves become almost Demonic. For this reason, some of the older or more powerful members of the Van Helsing family sport Demonic traits, such as horns, or odd skin color.
Weaponry Information:
Just with how there are different types of demons, there are different types of Demonic Weapons. Take note, Demons can only be sealed within specifically forged weapons, and nothing else. There is a certain ritual to create the weapon and then seal the demon within it.
Elemental Type --
This type of weapon is created by sealing an elemental type demon within a weapon. This in turn creates a weapon that has elemental type. While the powers of these elemental weapons are not near that of a bender, they have more versatility with the power itself.
Defensive Type --
A defensive type weapon serves the purpose of erecting barriers to deflect attacks of all sorts. In most cases, there are three tiers of barriers, labeled " C, B, and A-leveled. " C is the weakest, with A being the strongest. This type of weapon only has one form of offense, which is to create a barrier around an enemy, and force the barrier to close around them.
Other --
This category is pretty much everything else under the sun. Most weapons fall into this category, because they do not fall under the other two types. In this, the powers of the demon can range to literally anything, within reason.
Family Organization:
The Van Helsing Family is organized in a very simple way. The Family Head runs the entire family, while his Mistress acts as the second in command. Beneath her are soldiers, which, for the most part, are of the same rank and such.

Ching Clan The Ching Clan is the oldest group of Non-bender mercenaries. Unlike the Van Helsing of Schoenbaum families, who are primarily like soldiers, the Ching Clan is the embodiment of the ninja. Their strength, speed, and their techniques have given them then nickname " Shinobi " Their tactics involve using things like poison and explosives, as well at the utmost use of stealth and guerrilla tactics to take out specific targets or large amounts of enemy units instead of going through long and laborious front-line battles. Even with this, the Ching Clan is the smallest of the three Hunter Families.
Weaponry Information:
The Ching Clan uses a wide variety of Poison and Explosives to take out enemies in a speedy fashion. Their weaponry is specifically manufactured for the purpose of being stealthy and quick.
Explosives --
The Ching Clan uses a secret formula of high grade explosive that has yet to be figured out by others. Their bombs have specific parameters, and therefore, different grades based on their use. It is listed as D,C,A, and S-Grade explosive.
D-Grade: The D-Grade explosive is a sticky-type explosive that is usually put into small items, and given to a target. When activated, it creates a small and dense explosion that in most cases, kills the target upon contact.
C-Grade: The C-Grade explosive looks like a cartoonish bomb. It is essentially a packed explosive, which is then put inside a metal casing, with a fuse, giving it the comical bomb appearance. These are normally thrown into a crowd. The killing factor doesn't come from the explosion itself, but the fragment's it creates upon detonation.
A-Grade: A-Grade explosives are medium-powered explosives, which in turn have the ability to take out medium targets. They are normally attached to vehicles, and upon detonation, cause catastrophic failure in the vehicle itself.
S-Grade: S-Grade Explosive is the best of the four explosive types. They are extremely high powered, and are normally used to take out large units of enemies, as well as large buildings. They cause massive damage upon detonation.
Poisons --
The Ching Clan also uses a specifically made poison, that they coat almost all of their weapons in. This poison can be delivered in both food/drink, injected, or even put into the body through a weapon injury. This is the main reason they became known as the " Shinobi " of the three Hunter Families.
Their poison is an extremely effective one, and only requires a small amount in which to affect an opponent. The poison itself, when given in the correct dose, begins by immediately affecting the central nervous system, and causing local paralysis where the poison entered the blood stream. Over the course of a few minutes, the paralysis spreads across the entire body, before causing death within ten minutes of introduction into the system. When a weapon is coated in the poison, it takes a total of two stab wounds, or six slashes from the coated weapon in order to get the correct dose, and start the process of the poison. If ingested or otherwise introduced directly into the bloodstream, the poison is given in double the dose, which ensures the death of the target.
Only a select few people have access to the antidote, because of the secrecy of the poison itself. Those few include high-profile government officials, as well as high-powered individual otherwise.
Clan Organization:
The Clan is organized in a very democratic way. The Clan head has a council of elder family members, who decide what the direction the Clan will do.

Schoenbaum Family The Schoenbaum family is the most recently created family, only a couple decades old in it's creation and practice. In this time, they have come to be known as " Beast Tamers. " Their style of combat is mostly in the use of genetically altered War-Beasts. They take the already odd creatures of the world, and breed them to bring out certain traits and aspects. They use telepathy and vocal command in order to control them for combat purposes. Their personal style of combat is to directly take on enemies and then overwhelm them with the use of the beasts.
War-Beast Information:
The War-Beasts are magically contained in wicker baskets carried on their hips or backs. The War-Beasts are actually much to large to fit in the baskets, but through certain magics, they have the ability to fit completely in the baskets. They are released and controlled with the use of arcane power-words.
The beasts have a wide variety of appearances and powers. The beast itself is fully decided by the user itself, and must be approved by the approval-mod.
Family Organization:
Like the Van Helsing Family, the entire Schoenbaum family is controlled by a Family Head. The mistress has no say in the entire process of control. However, there is a serious rank system within the family itself. The Family Head is the leader figure. Underneath him, there are two generals. Underneath the generals are three Captains. Underneath the captains, it is a large group of like-ranked individuals.
