I agree at points she bugged me as well. Probably because she was still coming into her own and with her parents them being cocky wasn't as bad as it was with her. Her parents weren't planning a rebellion unless you count her dad overthrowing the current Rogue when he was 17. Her mom was hunting down Roger and Killing him but they were a bit more cautious than Aly was most of the time. Being raised from the cradle to spy kinda gave her an ego which she paid for a few different times.

i liked the part in the beginning of trickster's choice where she mentions all her relatives and adoptive relatives. but she seems so overconfident, like she has all this status so she doesn't need to do anything.
it took me about 100 pages to get into that book...the beginning moved really quickly. she's on a boat and then woosh! she's a slave.
