Sage walked home with her brothers from the day of hard work. They had gotten a ride from one of friendly neighbors on the back of his wagon for most of the way. But they still had to walk through the quiet part of the Housing District. They made it home just as Peacekeepers started giving punishments for curfew violation. 'Jeez, work us until only ten minutes before curfew, and yet the Housing District is twenty minutes away at least!' Sage thought. But she kept her thoughts to herself, she had learned to hold her tongue at a very young age. After taking a low pressure shower Sage quietly sunk into her bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
