Kohaku lived a rough childhood, shaping his days of growing up. He was raised by a mother and a father, but not for long. Both of his parents neglected Kohaku, one of his only friends [his sister], was rarely around, and otherwise, his other good friend, was his cousin.
Occasionally, Kohaku wished both of his parents gone. He regretted that wish, the day it came true. Kohaku lost both of his parents in a house fire. Only as a young child, did it happen. Kohaku left without a word, not even contacting his sister, nor his cousin. From there forth, Kohaku was reported as missing [and never found to date]; he raised himself after he left, and soon lost several memories of his childhood.
Kohaku grew to become a very skilled Bender, even at the start of his self-teaching. He pushed himself to his limits to try and become what he'd hoped to be. Stronger. Kohaku had thought he was a prodigy, although, he didn't want anything else setting him apart from others, as he was already far enough. Ignoring the facts, Kohaku continued to push himself harder and harder to perfect his tactics, working endlessly, with no real reasoning, other than to become stronger.
Kohaku soon abandoned his hardening and training, to wander the world. At first appearance, Kohaku may either come across as mysterious and quiet, calm and smart, or kindhearted and talkative. Through those he meets, his reactions change. And even so, those Kohaku does meet, he nearly always is soon to depart with.
Without ever having a proper education, or being under the wing of anyone but himself, Kohaku may seem different than most. At one point, Kohaku did try to look for a new home. Wherever he ended up, he was often bullied or made fun of, or called a freak and anything of the like. His experiences have constantly changed his courses throughout time.
As of now, Kohaku remains a wanderer. Yet to find purpose in life, he wanders in search of a reason to be around, and maybe some others who can tolerate him, as well.
