Welcome to the Hanze Town of Ikiyo
Please read these rules before beginning your adventures in the town. It is important to all players that they understand what kind of enviornment they are in, in order to make it a cooperative and fun place for everyone!
If you have any questions please post them on the main thread forum, where there is a question thread. Please do not post after this thread.

General Rules
1.) PLEASE try to keep out of character comments to a MINIMUM anywhere in this thread! Out of character statements should be in Parenthesis ( this is my OOC question 'blahblahblah' ) or something of that nature, asterics, thought bubbles, anything that shows its OOC . Your OOC comments should really ONLY be questions containing the rp, like (Is he standing against the wall, or sitting?) and things of that nature, because you're interacting with other people, and sometimes we're uncertain of where things are or how people are, etc.
We DONT want to see any (Oh, where are you from? I'm from Germany, its SO hot here, blahblahblah)'s. THIS WILL GET YOU A WARNING.
The reason we're going to be strict on this is because we do NOT want chatter like on a normal thread thats completely off topic.
This is and RP AREA. If you 'chatter', you will be given a warning. The second time you do it, you will get a second warning. The third strike, you're out. We will take your Hanze away from you and resell it. No exceptions.
2. No advertising, harrasment or misconduct in the town thread. This would also be considered an out of character statement, however its even more annoying and frowned upon to us, and you may only get one warning. If you do it a second time you will be removed from the guild and your hanze.
3. No one line rping! We expect a certain ammount of effort put into rping your pets here. While it is not required, we will not allow you to rp if you do not meet up to standards that we ask of you. This is NOT quantity over quality, a few quality lines is great! and we dont need a novella for every post, but just a few adjectives strung together is not acceptable either.
4. No mary sue characters or god modding. What this means is, your Hanze is not perfect. They are not immortal. Everyone has a few flaws. Some may have more obvious ones than others, but every character should have them. Your gehaka cannot dodge every attack, and your Haka cannot buy the continent! Everyone has limits. Please keep these in mind when designing your characters.
5. Please follow the Gaia ToS and general conduct rules- anything above pg 13 shouldn't be here anyway, it should be at your home- and then taken to PM's, because its pg 13! We're not responsible for you if you break the rules and get banned. (Please dont do it)
How to Open a Thread in the Town Area
You are welcome to open a thread, as long as it is a general area. I'm going to open a few basic ones, NPC shops that dont really sell anything (except in game you can pretend that they do)
If you would like to open an area, please make sure that it adheres to the general ancient japanese timeline.
So sure, you can open up a rice stand where people can rp at.
However, you cannot for example, open up a space station.
Once you have named your thread appropriately, such as 'The Rice Bowl' if its a rice shop, or something along those lines, it is REQUIRED that you put in the first post JUST a description of the place. Do not put in any character actions or anything to do with your character in the first post!
This is because hopefully it will stick around, and as a town, there are lots of places to go to! The thread you make in the town will not be just for your enjoyment only, but for the enjoyment of people to come after your Hanze wanders away from the rice bowl.
So please keep this in mind when rping in the town, and most of all -
Have fun!
