As you rank up, you will learn more jutsu. Of course, You can leave space for character development if you would like, meaning you do not need to to have the maximum number of jutsu for your rank. You can learn as you go along.

Ranking up is up to your kage so in order to gain a rank, you must request it from your kage out of character in a PM preferably.


The limit of the academy student is 4 Rank E jutsu with only 1 Rank D jutsu. If the character has a Kekkei Genkai, you are allowed an additional 3 techniques.

Genin are allowed 4 more Rank D-E allowed with the addition of their Rank E Jutsu and 1 Rank C jutsu if they have a team leader. If you have a Kekkei Genkai, you are allowed the addition of 2 more techniques plus the three you learned as a Student.

Chuunin are allowed the jutsu of 4 Rank C-E, plus what they have learned in the past and when they complete their first mission in a three-man cell, they are allowed one rank B jutsu. They gain an additional 3 Kekkei Genkai technique.

Following your rank up to Jounin, you earn 3 Rank B-E jutsu plus what you have learned in the past. *A Chance to learn rank A or S from a kage.* Additional of 2 Kekkei Genkai are allowed to be added.
{Total Possible: 14 Rank C-E + 1 Rank B, 3 Rank B-E, 1 Rank A or S*, 8 +2 Kekkei Genkai}


If you reach the rank of Kage, firstly Congratulations! You can now learn up to 5 more Rank A-E Jutsu and 2 more Rank S jutsu. Two more Kekkei Genkai can be added.

However, there is a teaching opportunity between each rank. A kage may teach a Jounin a S-rank or A rank. Jounin are allowed to teach any of the ranks below them but only within their rank or one rank above. Be sensible with combat styles and element natures.
