This is a lifeline for District 10. Though markets like this are technically illegal, even the peacekeepers purchase goods here. There are stalls that sell meat, clothing, greens, and all sorts of supplies.

"I'm not killing anyone....." "Just keep moving foward. Get up and walk on your own legs. At least you have two good legs to walk on."
Edward Yatsumori District 10 Tribute Edward rode his horse into the market with a large buck slung over the saddle that he had shot eariler that morning. He also had killed a game bird that he hoped to sell so he could get some more goods for his family. Quietly dismounted and led his horse over to the butcher and gave him the buck and the bird. "Thanks and I will bring you more tomorrow" he said smiling at the butcher as he was handed a small amount of money for the fresh meat he brought. Edward led his horse through the market looking for vegetables and herbs for their dinner that night. He spotted what he needed and bought them thankful for the bargain prices, "Thank you I'll bring you some wild strawberries tomorrow" he said before moving on. He eyed the baked goods at the baker's stall and wished he could buy one but they were expensive and he didn't have much money anyways and he had a two hour ride back home. He knew it was ok with Granny Pinako that he was out for a long time since she knew where he was. "That's not what I do." Health: 100% Hunger: 10% How I am feeling: Happy though wishing I could have one of those tasty pastries in the market. Love interest: not yet.

Ҭɧɩɑ Ϩɱчȶɧ Thia walked into the Marketplace, her boots clicking against the stone. Tilting her hat to people she knew, chewing her lip softly. She was worried, the Reaping was coming soon. 'May the odds be ever in your favor' Bounced around in her head, the woman did have an odd accent. Thia pulled her pigtails over her shoulders, trying to calm herself. She sighed, stopping at random stalls, toeing the ground. She knew she couldn't afford anything unless she went hunting. Maybe she would, climbing always seemed to calm her, it could work.Wearing.

"I'm not killing anyone....." "Just keep moving foward. Get up and walk on your own legs. At least you have two good legs to walk on."
Edward Yatsumori District 10 Tribute He hummed softly as he led his horse through the market looking at the wares that the market had to offer but stopped when he spotted jars of golden honey and he bought three of them for 6 coins exactly, "Thanks and have a nice day." he said softly and put the jars in a blanket tied on the back of his saddle to keep them from breaking. Edward caught a few smiles from the stall keepers and continued down the street. He tipped his hat respectfully to the women who called out to him saying hello. Mostly everyone knew him from the cattle drives and selling or trading his catch from the morning. "I bet Granny Pinako, Winifred and Alex will like the honey I bought them we don't get honey very often." he thought. Edward passed Thia as he made his way through the market not really paying any attention other then wondering if he should return to the ranch. He sighed knowing the reaping was coming up upon them and he had his name in the bowl 47 times because he had taken Tessera since he was 12 years old. Edward knew he could be chosen for the Hunger Games but there was nothing that he could do about it. "I truely despise the hunger games" he grumbled under his breath, "especially the senseless killing of children." He jumped when his horse nudge his left shoulder with its nose snorting softly. "That's not what I do." Health: 100% Hunger: 10% How I am feeling: Happy though wishing I could have one of those tasty pastries in the market but honey will make it taste even better. Love interest: not yet.

Ҭɧɩɑ Ϩɱчȶɧ Thia tipped her hat to the boy on the horse. She slipped her thumbs into her pockets, kicking a rock as she walked. She stopped at the meat stall, looking everything over, they had some food for tonight, maybe tomorrow. The Reaping was pecking at her brain. She pulled her tank top down, covering the back of her belt. She pulled at her hair, trying to think about something else. Thia walked away from the stall, looking at the pastries, they looked good, but she only had six coins with her. Wearing.

Edward Yatsumori District 10 Tribute Edward smiled at the girl who tipped her hat at him and returned the favor respectfully. He looked at her for a moment, "Excuse me did you want a pastry?" he asked, "I can buy a small one for you" Edward was kind hearted and it hurt to see someone struggling yet wanting something so expensive as a pastry. He smiled at the vendor and bought a small powdered pastry and ran after Thia, "Excuse me I saw you at the bakery stall and I wanted to give you this" he said still holding the reins of his horse, "I thought you would like to have one." Edward didn't really know Thia but he wanted to be kind and buy her one even when he wanted one himself. He caught up with her barely and handed her the pastry before mounting his horse, "You don't have to thank me" he said."That's not what I do." Health: 100% Hunger: 10% How I am feeling: Happy though wishing I could have one of those tasty pastries in the market. Love interest: not yet.

Ҭɧɩɑ Ϩɱчȶɧ Thia looked up at the boy, her eyes widdened when he handed her a pastry. "Uh, uhm, Thank you," She whispered, looking up at him. Thia tugged at her hair, pink lacing her cheeks. She held the pastry in her hand, looking at it wide eyed. She'd take it home, as a "celebration" of the Reaping. Thia smiled lightly, showing her thanks, but the Reaping popped back into her head. She couldn't get to close to anyone because there was still a chance she would have to fight with him to the death.Wearing.

"I'm not killing anyone....." "Just keep moving foward. Get up and walk on your own legs. At least you have two good legs to walk on."
Edward Yatsumori District 10 Tribute He smiled at her kindly, "You're welcome" he said, "you don't have to pay me back." Edward mounted his horse in front of her and tipped his hat to her before riding though the market. He was finished with business at the market and started to head home with the honey and the vegetables and herbs for dinner. "Bet Granny Pinako is cooking stew with the meat I brought home this morning." he said to himself softly. He cleared the market and rode back home in a full gallop smiling as the wind blew against his face, he felt so free even when the Hunger games was looming so closely and he could be chosen. Edward didn't want to kill anyone his age or younger he couldn't bring himself to even when he watched his own mother die from illness in front of him and Alex. One thing he feared was that girl he bought the pastry for could also be chosen and he didn't want to kill her even when it meant that he would closer to going home."That's not what I do." Health: 100% Hunger: 10% How I am feeling: Happy though wishing I could have one of those tasty pastries in the market. Love interest: not yet.

Ҭɧɩɑ Ϩɱчȶɧ Thia tipped her hat to the boy again, surprised that someone actually bought a stranger something as expensive as that. She stopped at the cloth stall, looking things over. The family could use a new blanket. Once she found one, she looked up at the person running the stall. Thia pointed at it, meaning she was wondering how much it was. Maybe she'd stop at the Stables next, check on the family horses. It amazed her they still could afford the horses. Wearing.

"I'm not killing anyone....." "Just keep moving foward. Get up and walk on your own legs. At least you have two good legs to walk on."
Edward Yatsumori District 10 Tribute Edward was already halfway back to the ranch and galloped in a nice comfortable pace the rest of the way. He sang a tune that he had learned from his mother and he continued to sing it to this day. He looked around at the countryside where he felt comfortable but the forest also felt good. Once he reached the ranch he trotted over to the barn where he dismounted gracefully. He untied the blanket and unwrapped the jars of honey and put them in the saddle bags he carried inside where Pinako was waiting for him. He pulled out the stuff he bought at the market and then went outside to unsaddle his horse."That's not what I do." Health: 100% Hunger: 10% How I am feeling: Happy though wishing I could have one of those tasty pastries in the market. Love interest: not yet.
